Plot

A coming of age story that follows five young university who form a circle of friends. Tamotsu and Osamu (Kimura) fall in love with Narumi, who prefers Tamotsu. In order not to hurt each other as friends, both young men try to avoid forming a relationship with Narumi which inadvertedly leads to tragedy among the friends. After the accidental death of Junichiro, the friends leave university for various reasons leaving Narumi to continue and finish her studies. A few years later they all meet again to be surprised by a few secrets that are recvealed.

BD Oct 05 2021 8:21 am This is one of the best japan tv series that ever made, I enjoyed watching it in 1993 and I just watch again in 2021 and this is very very good movie.

This is a classic romance movies from 1993, around that time we live without cell phone, without internet. We live our life slower and more enjoy real thing around us, not pictures that been share in internet.

This movie beautifully capture how romance relationship happened at that time. How girl feel about love, how boy feel about love, should we choose someone who love us, or should we choose to fight for someone we loved eventhough we face too much obstacles. Friendship or love. Love our lover and love our friends.

I think this movie is suitable for calm loving people, an introvert who like to analyze deeply about love and feeling. Not very suitable for an extrovert who like small talk and chitchat meaningless conversation.

DramaLover Feb 09 2021 12:55 pm Worth watching if you're a fan of Takuya Kimura because it's the drama that made him famous, and he totally steals the show here, but the script is definitely not the greatest compared to other J-dramas. Narumi and Tamotsu are not very likable lead characters, and they do a lot of contrived, stupid things that don't make any sense. Lots of emotional wheel-spinning.

If you just want to watch a drama about a group of friends experiencing their college youth, Orange Days is one billion, trillion times better.
