Drama series depicts a love story between Ban Ji-Yeon (Uhm Jung-Hwa) and Yoon Dong-Ha (Park Seo-Joon).

Ban Ji-Yeon is a single 39-year-old woman. She works as a reporter and is very enthusiastic about her work. So much so that she is often called a “witch” at work. She doesn't believe in true love, because of her past experience when her boyfriend disappeared prior to their wedding.

Yoon Dong-Ha is 25-year-old young man who runs a small errand center with his friend. The errand center will do pretty much anything including sending out someone dressed as Santa Claus or provide security for an idol star. He looks like a happy guy, but he lost his girlfriend by an accident.

No Shi-Hoon (Han Jae-Suk) is a 41-year-old war photographer. He was Ban Ji-Yeon’s boyfriend.

The production is brilliant, and I adore that the whole age-related issues shown through the two main characters, and the mother and boss, brings it home just how love can dissolve most considerations, and bring such happiness! wayer May 14 2020 10:06 pm the drama that introduces me to Yoon hyunmin.. one of the many best bromance potrayed. the chemistry between Uhm junghwa and Park seojoon is fireworks everywhere haha... actually came back to this site after watching King of Highschool savvy where noona and dongsaeng thing going on. but i guess the vast difference is; here is full of pheromones while savvy feels a bit off since the lee hana dated a highschooler haha! i still love the beer scene a lot made me crack all the time!

Uhm Jung Hwa still look beautiful and if you all saw their BTS, they really comfortable with each other. I still watch this to this day and for me, I rarely enjoy rom-com but this one & My Name is Kim Sam Soon is the best rom-com that I watched.

I feel like there was an episode 4.5 and I missed it so I come searching everywhere and found out everyone got confused just like me. I dont like this kind of separate scenes. I keep watching the whole episode 5 but nothing related to the last moment at the airport. This is so frustrating!! I hate the director!!

It would be believable if Ji Yeon end-up with Shi Hoon then Dong Ha meet new girl while studying or after graduating. How can a woman in her 40’s let go her first love over a guy he only meet at the bar? She is a successful career woman while the kid (guy) doing part-time for a living? She will be 50 when they get married, unbelievable. Not saying that the story is but, just that it is not realistic. I close my eyes evertime they kiss or lovey dovey, I cannot! Maybe if it’s Ha Ji Won or Song Ji Hyo it might have better chemistry.

But Park Seo Joon did a great job here on acting knowing he is only on his 2nd or 3rd yr. .

Early in Park Seo Joon’s career, but that charm is already a scene stealer, and I’m sure the veteran actress, Uhm Jung Hwa, taught him a lot about acting as is probably the case in most Noona stories. This one has some rough edges but is a lot of fun. BTW, all the hateful attacks on her age and looks: she is beautiful and successful, and the ageism nonsense is just that, for each of those little twits will also age, and faster than they can imagine...if they live long enough.

It's just a shame and somehow I feel bad for Park Seo Joon. I mean even though they might have some sort of chemistry base from some of fellow kdrama lovers here, but seriously the visual is just so disturbing. It isn't really pleasing to see them in one frame as a lover. There are still many better female cast for this role, especially for actresses those who were born in 1969.

I replayed their romantic scenes so many tines and not kept count ? It's gonna be really hard for me to watch Park Seo Joon with other actress eventhough I like her :| So Chul and Eun Chae, Na Rae and Min Goo pairs were awesome too! ? The chemistry between Soo Chul and Dong Ha were lit af ?? Love this series altogether! <3

Noting that its only 2 or 3 years into Park SeoJoon's career, I think he did well even with someone so much senior to him. It's not any easier for Uhm JungHwa.....let's be fair to women. Of the entire drama, the best chemistry is between PSJ and Yoon HyunMin. Every time they are together, their actions, the way they converse.....whatever, keep me going back again and again....first to read the subtitle, then again and then their acts and again.... I wanted to watch all of Park SeoJoon's dramas and this isn't disappointing at all...

I bet those who commented on the age gap is homophobic as well. Love doesn't have to be just between a man and a woman who's the same age or one year older or younger than you. It could be a biracial relationship too... What matter is you love each other. Whatever it is, I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. It's funny and sweet and cute. It's amazing how such a young man can fall for someone much older than him. It shows that love has no boundaries..

After watching, I totally love it - it was fun, quirky and so much happiness in it. Uhm Jung Hwa is a great actress and Park Seo Joon is so manly cute. Just try to forget the age-gap and you will enjoy this!

I started to like Park Seo Joon so much after She Was Pretty and I just wanted to see more of his works. I started watching this and it was so dang good. The plot is not draggy. There is no stupid misunderstandings. The chemistry was sooooooo good between the two even though she is almost Park Seo Joon's mom's age. I highly recommend it! If you guys know any other good drama like this good letting me know <3

The leads have sizzling chemistry, and Park Seo Joon is the sexist and sweetest of lovers. I didn't need the secondary plot as I could have watched the main love story for the full series. Kudos to the actors, director, and writer.

tease Jul 31 2014 10:29 pm I really, really wanted to like this series and I persisted through 11 excruciating episodes. and then I said enough. couldn't finish it. I find it really hard to believe that a woman of 40, who dated a man for 10 years and longed for him for 6 more, (16 in all) could fall in love with someone 16 years her younger in just 2 weeks. would have been more believable if Dong-Ha had falling for Eun-Chae and Ji-Yeon finally getting the man of her 16 year-old dreams. Now I don't know how it ended, but I just couldn't take 5 more episodes.

Since I already watched this korean remake, I can say that its better because its more cuter and shorter than the original...from original 24 episodes, it become 16 episodes only which is good for those who have long list of tv series to watch......it's really fun, loving to watch....

In that the woman was 33 years old while the young man was 25 years old. I just saw the first 3 episodes of this one. I might watch this one to see what they change to the original one.

MissK May 14 2014 4:14 am I need to admit that Park Seo Joon did a very good job as the leading actor in this drama. I am excited for the first few episodes of this drama, but it seems to be a bit dragging starting from episode 7. The drama started with a very strong storyline and pace and it made the viewers expecting for stronger storyline and faster pace for the rest of the drama. Unfortunately, it did not happen. However, I am still crossing my fingers hoping that the writer will be able to catch the pace up again and turn the rest of the drama so that it will be as good as the beginning of the drama. Let's see how it ends.

가비 May 06 2014 4:46 pm I am a big fans of all good Korean drama, but so happened I watched the Taiwanese version first "My Queen" and totally swept away with the story, the casts~ Cheryl Yang is a perfect main actress (vicious, ambitious yet attractive n kind hearted inside), Ethan Ruan is young, naughty sweet and he always been a kick-ass in every drama he lead~ the opening scene is drawn in the best unique design, the opening song is a heart capture and you can daydreaming just by looking at the coffee shop poster where Cheryl stand in front of it with Ethan looking at her with eyes of love.

Very regret to say that I think this Taiwanese original version is outwin the Witch romance in term of details and natural flow in presenting the story. A bit disappointed why they have to do the remake but cannot as good as the original drama. I've seen so many times that korean always do better plot story, so maybe the next episodes i watch could be showing that.

But in this case so hard to compare Cheryl Yang with Uhm Jeong Hwa, honestly I prefer to see the Taiwanese casts. I like to see Park Seo Joon though, maybe he is the only thing that keep me to stay watching the witch romance.
