Daisuke Yuge (Takayuki Yamada) works as a tour guide in Oahu, Hawaii and also studies astronomy. He meets Rui Fujishima (Masami Nagasawa) at a cafe and falls in love with her at first sight, but Rui Fujishima suffers from memory loss due to a past accident.

The Persistence Of Memory Sep 29 2018 2:30 pm Heartwarming drama. The corniness and predictability feel, if not quite fresh, then not so groaningly stale. Fukuda Yuichi, though, does lend this earnest formula flick a core of conviction. Thanks mainly to Yamada Takayuki’s considerable presence, 50 First Kisses works more effectively than expected. Both an inspirational love movie and an unexpected multi-level urban drama that plays by its own clock. Unfortunately, the accompanying story threads tend to bog down the romance rather than provide the comedy of the situation.
