Plot
Kana Manda is a sentimental and somewhat scatterbrained 44 year-old housewife who lives with her husband and two daughters. She leads a hectic yet mundane life, keeping house, taking care of the kids, and working part-time. It has been many years since Kana had taken ballet lessons. One day, she spots a ballet class in the city and is seized with the strong urge to take up lessons again... Meanwhile, Kana’s childhood ballet class chum, 40 year-old Ranko Kurahashi, is now a world renown prima donna with her own ballet company. Seeing that her son has potential to become a top notch ballet dancer, she puts him through rigorous training but he is weary of it all. It is at such a time that the two women run into eachother. Their long lost friendship is rekindled as they clash head on and secretly support one another as well. This is a touching and refreshing human drama that depicts housewives living out their lives with great joy, hope and vigor as they delight themselves in the world of classical ballet. --NTV
