$20,000 hospital bill for a certain man. After making his mom promise not to get angry
if he tells the truth, Jae-woo tells her that the man is actually Sa-ya’s (actress Park
Shin-hye) father. Soo-nam gets nervous that the man might be her former husband
and so she asks Jae-young (actress Park Jung-sook) to work hard to find out the
contact number of the anonymous person who tipped the network.
Meanwhile, Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-shim) is dismayed when Han-mo (actor Kim
Se-yoon) tells her that they should marry off Sa-ya as soon as possible because
their home is so crowded...

When Soo-nam (actress Choi Ran) confirms that Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) is
the daughter of the late Sang-beom, she turns pale and tries to find out about Sa-ya’
s past. Meanwhile, Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-wook) talks to Sa-ya about his lonely
childhood during a date and shows her how he feels about her...

yes because of her painful memories of being abandoned by her mother. Geum-hee
(actress Koh Du-shim) witnesses their conversation and feels pity for her.
Meanwhile, Soo-nam gets hysterical when she learns that Geum-hee took Sa-ya in.

Soo-nam (actress Choi Ran) arrives at the place where she will meet Geum-hee
(actress Koh Du-shim) a little early. When Geum-hee enters through the door with
Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye), she is stunned to see Soo-nam. Soo-nam acts
casually and smiles throughout the time but Geum-hee can hardly speak because of
her fear.

Ji-sook (actress Kim Ja-ok) meets with Dong-jin (actor Kim Seung-soo) and asks
him general questions as she tries to judge his character. Meanwhile, Geum-hee
(actress Koh Du-shim) tells Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) that she doesn’t approve
of her marrying Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-wook) because the marital harmony factor
between them is very bad. Sa-ya tells her that she heard couples can overcome
poor marital harmony by working at it but Geum-hee says that you cannot change a
person’s character and pressures her to break up with him.

When Jae-young (actress Park Jung-sook) sees that Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-
wook) is troubled over how difficult it is to marry Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye), she
(actress Park Jung-sook) discusses the matter with him. Jae-young recalls that
Soo-nam (actress Choi Ran) changed her mind about Sa-ya after she met with a
friend of Sa-ya’s father and then said she’d meet Geum-hee. After thinking over what
Jae-young said, Jae-woo asks her if she has the number of the friend of Sa-ya’s
father and...

After checking Soo-nam’s (actress Choi Ran) travel records in the 1980s, Jae-woo
(actor Joo Sang-wook) goes to meet Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-shim). While
talking with Geum-hee, Jae-woo mentions that he met with Dr. Ma and knows that
Geum-hee knows his mother. Geum-hee is stunned and spills her glass.
Meanwhile, Ji-hae (actress Kim Bo-gyeong) meets with Eun-ho (actress Yoo Ho-
jung) and tells her to drop out as the writer for their next radio show...

When Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) comes home drunk with Dong-shik (actor Kim
Heung-soo), Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-shim) scolds Dong-shik for drinking with
Sa-ya. Sa-ya gets mad that Geum-hee does not approve of her son drinking with
her and tells Geum-hee that she can also date Dong-shik if she wants to. Geum-
hee loses her temper and slaps Sa-ya on the cheek. The next day, Sa-ya leaves a
note behind after leaving for good...

Dong-shik (actor Kim Heung-soo) finds out where Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) is
staying and as he hurries to go see her, he also contacts Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-
wook). While Sa-ya is at the beach all by herself, Jae-woo approaches her from
behind and slips his arms around her.
Meanwhile, Dong-shik tells Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-shim) that Sa-ya is with
Jae-woo and so she immediately goes to meet Sa-ya...

Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) dashes out of the motel room and tries to drown
herself in the ocean but. Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-wook) spots Sa-ya and runs
after her to hold her back. He grabs her in his arms. Jae-woo consoles Sa-ya and
tells her she’s lucky that she finally found her mother. But Sa-ya says that she can
never accept the woman who is her mother.
Meanwhile, Jae-woo finds something fishy when he starts asking Sa-ya about her
mother...

Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-wook) meets with Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-shim) and
tells her he is certain that his mother was staying in Wonju in the same year when
Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) was born. Geum-hee tells Jae-woo that she heard
from Sa-ya that his mother was in West Germany in that year. But Jae-woo reveals
that he learned the truth of her real whereabouts...

When Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-wook) submits his resignation to his mother and
leaves her office, Soo-nam (actress Choi Ran) calls Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-
shim) with her mind made up to get back at her. She meets with Geum-hee’s
husband Han-mo (actor Kim Se-yoon) and tells him that Sa-ya’s (actress Park Shin-
hye) real mother is Geum-hee. Han-mo tells her that there must be a
misunderstanding but Soo-nam says she is telling the truth...

Dong-shik (actor Kim Heung-soo) learns that Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-hye) is
Geum-hee’s (actress Koh Du-shim) daughter and he confronts his mother about this
before he storms out of the house. After hearing about the current situation from
Geum-hee, Sa-ya goes to Dong-shik’s flower shop and gets down on her knees,
pleading to him to let her make things right again.
Meanwhile, Eun-ho (actress Yoo Ho-jung) sees Ha-som warming up to her mother
Ji-hae (actress Kim Bo-gyeong) and this gives her doubts about her relationship
with Dong-jin. So she tells Dong-jin that she’d like to break off their relationship...

Dal-lae hears from Geum-hee that Sa-ya is Geum-hee’s daughter and she gets mad
that Geum-hee kept this secret from the family until now. Geum-hee tells everyone
she will leave the family with Sa-ya. Meanwhile, Soo-nam asks Sa-ya to talk Jae-
woo out of going abroad and...

After leaving home, Geum-hee (actress Koh Du-shim) and Sa-ya (actress Park Shin-
hye) unpack their things at a motel room. While looking for a place to rent, Geum-
hee sees a wanted ad for waitresses and talks with the restaurant owner about
getting the job.
Meanwhile, Ji-hae (actress Kim Bo-gyeong) gives a children’s storybook to Eun-ho
(actress Yoo Ho-jung) and asks her to take good care of Dong-jin (actor Kim Seung-
soo) and her daughter Ha-som.

Soo-nam tells Sa-ya that she’ll approve of her marriage with her son Jae-woo (actor Joo Sang-wook) and that she’d hand over the hotel to her as well. Sa-ya tells her that she’ll live abroad after marrying Jae-woo without mentioning that she already broke up with him. Soo-nam pleads with her not to leave the country but Sa-ya tells her that it’s none of her business what she does with her life.
