Feb 02 2023 7:38 pm What a fabulous and heartwarming performance by Jung Sun-Il in Dong Yi! He was one of my absolutely top characters! Jung Sun-Il has acted the role with such an ease and finesse, with so much warmth and depth of character gently sketched with minimal facial work. I loved the nuanced face expressions that were able to convey so much sarcasm, or doubt or surprise or shock or confusion with absolutely perfectly timed reaction. I think that the casting of Jung Sun-Il as the King's chief assistant eunuch who was way more then just an officer but more like a friend and a confidant was absolutely BRILLIANT! Casted along Ji Jin Hee it was great to see the two characters bouncing off the energy of each other as both characters are lovable just as the actors. The face of Jung Sun-Il conveys trust, warth and honest reliability and that all paid of amazingly radiating from the screen into our own lives. I can not tell about other roles but I m positively sure that such a talented actor can do anything really with his talent and can portray most any character that comes his way.
