When salaryman Jun (Ken Yasuda) gets home, he finds his wife Chie (Nana Eikura) bleeding from her mouth and lying on the floor. He is shocked by the scene, but it turns out the blood is just ketchup and she is pretending to be dead. Without telling him why, Chie pretends to be dead everyday. Jun is dumbfounded by his wife's behavior, but he begins to feel uneasy with her.

I really recommend this movie to everyone who's interested in romance & comedy. This is not a typical romance movie though, you won't find those pretty lines you usually see in romance dramas... The first time I saw the title and movie poster I thought this one would be hilarious and it turned out right. Nana Eikura portrayed her character well, and not to forget Yasuda Ken too! I laughed at how ridiculous Chie was xD This is a heartwarming story about a married couple. I rate it 9/10!!

Most of romantic stories have marriage as a goal but I wondered how those characters do after they actually got marry. This movie is about married couple. So we pass through the chasing phase and cut to how they interact when the initial fierce burn of romance has died down -very interesting aspect of romance.

I date my girlfriend for a long time. At the end of movie I felt like I gain some understanding about what it means to be with another person. The vague unenthusiasm we feel about each other. The comfortable when we be together until we sometimes stop look into each other. This movie is all about that.

'When I Get Home, My Wife Always Pretends to be Dead' the wife has really creative ways of pretend to be dead. What is her reason behind it? I don't know but is it really important? you may find your answer after watching this movie.

I don't give score but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND this movie to everyone, especially for people who has long term relationship.
