Satoru Mukai (Eiji Akaso) is single and 33 years old. He works for a t-shirt manufacturer in Tokyo. He is a nice guy and does his job well. His co-workers like him. Unfortunately, Satoru Muka hasn't been in a romantic relationship for 10 years. He suddenly realizes that, around him, he is the only single person. His friend has recently become a father and his younger sister has gotten married. Satoru Mukai wants to have a romantic relationship and looks to find the right person for him. He believes it won't be easy for him, because he knows women who are friends with him, but they aren't available for romantic relationships. He asks himself the reason for that and begins to find errors when he makes romantic relationships.

mi Nov 02 2023 2:21 am Lol, this man's story is actually my life right now. But I'm a woman. Having a friend who is a guy doesn't mean you have to make him your partner. We care, we love them because they are the people who understand us as we are because they are our best friends.

We are taught that men and women cannot be friends. Why? Because we are taught that humans must reproduce. Women & men must have children. This is Caveman / Monkey Style.

The person closest to me right now is a man, my best friend. We share many things. We care about each other as friends. That's a good thing and we want to maintain this friendship forever. Because having friends doesn't always have to be the same gender.

If you turn every relationship into a couple, married couple, husband/wife, you are truly pathetic. Seriously and I feel sorry for you. Because that means you are too boring and closed-minded. With a closed mind, you will always have problems that are difficult to solve.

What if you are married? What commitment do you build together, what rules do you need to agree on? That's where you just form it. However, that doesn't change the fact that women and men cannot be friends. Friends meet in any form and any gender.

mm Oct 28 2023 8:34 am I'm tired of women always being written as saints who always knows what to do, what they want and always faithful. Surprise, surprise! we are human beings too! Flawed, unsure and lost trying to navigate this life. It's specially hard when everyone around you just conform, while you're still figuring out what you want, everyone wants you to settle. So yeah, I can't blame these women.The most unrealistic part of this show is Mukai-kun, where to find someone as patient as this dude.

So are they together or not together? gosh... and the main lead's sister is so annoying. like what the heck do u want woman??? the main lead is really good but as others have said, the females here are like ????... overall drama started out ok but just fell flat at the end with the females not knowing what the heck they want

Yosh Oct 28 2023 2:45 am Nah, dorama like this is just fine. Am female in my 30. Turns out it just describe me very well ; Confusing about marriage, the norm, and society. This type of jdrama is just way too realistic, perhaps not everyone cup of tea but that's also ok.

HK Oct 24 2023 4:10 pm Absolute trash. Super confusing ending. I don’t watch dramas for realistic story lines. And those saying “people in their 20s don’t appreciate it”. I’m 35 and I didn’t like it. All of the female characters were trash. So rude and just using the men. The ML was so kind and was willing to work on himself and all of the women are like “you’re not good enough for me”. If the ML wasn’t so cute, I wouldn’t have watched the whole thing hoping he’d end up happy. 1/10.

YJ Oct 23 2023 6:08 pm Though this drama is quite realistic and targeted different points of view from different people, it’s boring as hell. All they did was talking, eating, and walking. First time watching a Japanese drama and not very well received. Kind of disappointed!

Annie Oct 23 2023 5:08 am I guess the majority of people saying this drama is boring must be in their teens or 20s something. I’m in my 30s and this drama is very realistic and it covers many problems and aspects i do consider going to my 30s. The drama is very interesting when you actually seek for some answers and point of view. If you don’t have that or still nonchalant in life i guess this is not for you. And kudos to Akaso to be the male lead. He got the innocence of adult who still struggling to “be an adult”. If you want to find a romance doki doki fluffy moment i guess this is not for you. It’s a drama addressing social problems and expectations for young/old japanese generation. In general this is a good drama for 30s people.

As a man who is the same age and has a life like Mukai kun, I really like it, this is the reality of relationships, maybe it's suffocating but that's what life is like. Like seeing the story of my own life.

GinGin Oct 21 2023 9:25 am Can someone please write a better romantic script for Eiji Akaso already? It’s a waste of his acting talent. I can only think of 1 other good romantic series with him as lead called “Super Rich”. The story line was interesting.

Futsuotoko Oct 20 2023 11:51 am All the girls have a few screw loose on their heads. They keep saying they dont know what they want and constantly being mad / selfish / irritable. Especially the younger sister of the MC. She is the epitome of a nowadays feminazi.

I feel bad for every male character in this drama. 4/10
