Yoon Hyeon-Woo (Song Joong-Ki) has worked for Soonyang Conglomerate for more than 10 years. His job mainly consists of taking care of the family that runs the company. His work is similar to that of a servant, but he is falsely accused of embezzlement by the conglomerate family. He is then shot while on a business trip overseas. The next moment, Yoon Hyeon-Woo finds himself in the body of the family's youngest grandson Jin Do-Jun (Song Joong-Ki). He decides to take revenge on the Soonyang Conglomerate family and also takeover the company.

Amanda Jan 30 2023 4:06 am I think the ending is acceptable and quite reasonable since the narratives about faith cannot be changed with some intriguing open question when Min Yeong remember what Do Jun (with HyeonWoo's soul) said back then is actually what HW will say if he was indeed time traveling as DoJun to the past. Having said that, it is better to prolong the present era to another 2 episodes at least to maintain the past. Bravo to the overall casts and economics knowledges added to the story. Special standing ovation to Chairman Jin Yang Cheol! Both fot his character and for the actor portraying him

Ant Jan 30 2023 3:25 am I love Song Joon Ki I don't care what people are saying about him portraying a 20 year old honestly I wouldn't think of anyone who would have brought this out well.i love how they did the past wow that was too good, this drama has a lot of big names. Lee Sung Min and Kim Do-Yun brought it damnnn!! The only problem I had was the ending it could have been better honestly it felt like it needed more episodes and they were put on a 16-episode limit, that's how it feels.

You should rewatch the first and last episodes.

Yoon Hyun-woo for a long time learning about each of Soonyang family and Jin Do-jun isn't except. And when he was wounded he came into a coma (maybe) and saw sleep. After when he awake he understood what he should do to be safe.

Yoon Hyun-woo isn't Jin Do-jun, they are different persons like Obama and Biden. And at the end of the last episode, Yoon Hyun-woo said about it.

Flower Jan 11 2023 12:47 am I just finished watching it. I think it is soooo gooodd. Episode 13-14 are a bit bland but I think the rest are gold. The end of episode 15 makes me gasping. Episode 16 is perfect as it is.

SJK acting is no doubt great. He is indeed an experienced actor. I think this kind of role suit him well. He can play a secretary, a college boy, a heir, and a poor boy all at once.

And even though it is somewhat a fantasy drama, I think the writers depict the contrasting situation between the poor and the rich in the real world very well. This drama makes me ponder a lot of things in life and I like it. The richer you are, the bigger responsibility you have, especially when you own a big corporation where many people's lives depend on your decisions. But many rich people might not realize it because they never experience what the poor experience.

When Hyeon Woo came back as himself makes the episodes 2 to 15 useless as these episodes focuses on the revenge and relationship of jin dojun and his grandfather.

The drama has been ruined the moment harabuji died. Because there are two main characters here the grandfather and jin dojun.

The ending has me upset but when I took into retrospect that Do Jun - was truly Hyeon-Woo the whole time-using his memories to do justice for Do-Jun it makes sense. I know the ending differs from the Webtoon but for a drama I feel this ending was a better fit. Song Join-Ki represents both characters with perfection. I,of course, prefer Do-Jun and had to keep reminding myself he was Hyeon-Woo. I love the diversity of this cast. I love the acting of Lee Seung-Min. Call me a fan-the mama acting and character hooked me in. The chemistry between Grandfather and Do-Jun was impressive and real. Not too mushy or pretty to make it feel fake. I e seen Jo Han-Chul in many dramas and he killed this one. Such a great actor! Same goes for Kim Nam-Hee- I’m now one of his biggest fans. The child actors impressed me-especially Moon Seung-Hun-OMG! Great things in his future for sure! I highly recommend this drama-but be prepared to use your brain and learn a lot about the financial world and big companies -it’s extremely interesting -Oh and did I mention Song Joon-Ki is in it?? His loveliness!!

Or a "prequel" to this drama, how he started when he was young (this role can be played by Song Joongki) and how he started the company and built it up (adult role from age 37 onwards played by Lee Sung Min). So the 2 main roles will be played by Lee Sung Min and Song Joongki. If there is a Season 2 of Reborn Rich without Lee Sung Min (because the character he played has already died) it would not be so exciting. There is synergy between him and Song Joongki.

All other cast members were well chosen. Storyline was great. From beginning to end. Loved every part of.it. Kudos to the producer, director and screenwriter! Kudos to the entire cast. Will watch again. I am fine with the ending of the drama. It leaves it open for them to decide if they want a Season 2.

There are lots of other aspects that could have been the direction of the story, but it never went that way. I think most people keep on watching this because of two reasons: Song Joong Ki and the great great great Lee Sung Min.

The Ratings Don't Always Justify The Content. It's not always great just because the ratings are high. Just like this drama.

I hope SJK finds something really good to work on next time.

The ending was not bad but left a taste of what just happened without a clear answer. But it makes sense as I was wondering how and when do they go back to the true present time in 2022 when they were in 2002 with a few episodes left.

Damn so many people hated the ending and wanted Do Jun to take over SY and live happily ever after. Remember he did say in an earlier episode that he cannot change the past, for example he tried to save his mother, but his mother died anyways but in a different circumstance. He knew his death was coming but he didn't when it was, remember in the 1st or 2nd episode he didn't even remember who Do Jun was or how he looked, so he didn't realize that it was himself who was an accomplice of the case, he only realized it when Do Jun had the accident. This whole series was about Hyeon Woo repentance, his regret of going along with SooYang to cover up the accident. Now in the present after being betrayed, he decided to set things right. It was never about Do Jun living in the present, a lot of people were just in denial that he won't die but people who pay attention to the series knew that Do Jun's death was coming.

In the previous episode, the grandfather's and Do Jun's legacies were irrelevant. Do Jun was slain exactly as such, and he got justice exactly as such.

Also, I was perplexed by the fact that Hyeon Woo had an audio recording device hidden for 20 years and knew right away who killed Do Jun. Are you for real? This is corroborated by a moment in which he hurried inside the office to see what Do Jun looked like (I forgot the episode), and it contradicts another scene in which Hyeon Woo is implied to have been an unwitting partner of Kim Joo-Ryun in Do Jun's murder on Ep. 16.

However, I commend Ha In-Suk for being a devoted employee and friend of Do Jun, especially in light of the fact that Do Jun's passing caused him to lose his sanity. Except for the final episode, I ultimately found the drama (Ep. 1–15) to be enjoyable.

Definitely included on my all time top 5 Kdrama. Love the overall stories and top notch acting and chemistry from all the actors!

At least the female lead had a little more screentime on the last episode because her role was more like a cameo throughout the whole drama and not so significant character either. The drama belongs to grandfather and the grandson. Shin hyun been was so flat in this drama, no expressions at all. Hopefully Lee Sung Min and Song Joong Ki win awards and also Park Ji Hyun was much better than the female lead.

And here it is a happy ending but not that happy, actually. Maybe I'm one of those people who like stupid endings. But for me it's not that bad. It's just I love plot twists that are not marketable. Just imagine, how to make such complicated things connected to each other at the end of the story and only in one episode. I think it will be difficult. When you think about it, it doesn't make sense. But, since when is drama really logical?

So dojun sells soonyang card to uncle2 for 800 million dollars plus 2pc soonyang corp shares. If comapny goes bankruot dojun will earn 2 pc shares, if uncle pays back debt or someone else does then uncle2 will get back shares but will lose money.

Uncle1 doesn't want to save soonyang card,if noone saves it then gov will takeover the company and do next steps. Uncle1 calls dojun who is no longer soonyang card owner but has 2pc shares of company goes bankrupt. Uncle1 buys that contract from dojun for 1.6 billion dollars. So now if company goes bankrupt unlce1 will get soonyang coprs 2 pc and will help in becoming majority shateholder.

Dojun earns 800 million plus 1.6 billion dollars from both uncles netting 2.4 billion dollars.

At gov meeting do jun buys back soonyang card to save credit deliquents. This buying back means 2 pc share will go back to uncle2 and uncle1 will not get anything. Uncle1 is so shortsighted.

Now dojun can use this 2.4 billion dollars to pay soonyang card debt and shop for more soonyang corp shares.

The person who sells more shares to dojun is jin yeing chul's secretary mr.lee who once betrayed do jun or pretended to betray. Adding his share dojun not only becomes majority shareholder he also saves soonyang card and stops uncle1 from becoming majority shareholder.

Unless, he manage to "rescue" himself in next ep 16 and finally, find out that Seung Jun/Seung Jun's wife/Dong Ki's daughter killed him (and in previous life too), therefore, the prosecutor investigates them. 2) Next final ep 16, if do-jun is still alive, he takes control of management rights of whole Soonyang group and manage by professional management. 3)prosecutor min-yeong: enough of her calling in Do-jun without solid info. And weird that Do-jun still want to be with her again and again!

No expressions, no feelings, no chemistry. Her expressions are always so flat. The romance was so useless and forced. The chemistry of grandfather and dojun is the best and its what carried the story to such a high ratings. Lee Sung Min is such an excellent actor.

Hopefully the drama will end in a brilliant gesture being do-jun owned the Soonyang empire and the half-siblings will take instructions from do-jun; and Soonyang will be managed by professional management. Also, Miracle the great investment co. I guess the prosecutor Min-yeong only a mere FL in the prosecutor role, but not the 'actual' FL in the drama, including none of the other female in the drama. The drama focus is on grandpa and do-jun for Soonyang group, i.e., Grandpa had to abandon his original succession plan after witnessing incapability of none of his siblings and his eldest grandson to lead his Soonyang's future.

Also song joong ki why he acts same in every show? He was like this is Dos, in asadal chronicles like this in vincenzo, like this in reborn rich. Throughout yhe show hd just boyishly purses his lips and sways his head, then smiles, then sways head, then utters some words. Digital deaging removed all expressions from his face too which he already werent giving much.

The FL has the honour being the most uninspiring lead role with the least screen time and development Ever. Many of the supporting characters have much more screen time and development than her. She shouldn’t be labeled as a main role if she is just appearing one or two minutes per episode, with her scenes being almost non essential to the main plot. What a joke.

Im on ep 13 and i am so irritated with how minyeongs character is written, they always show her as someone creating roadblocks for dojun and acting stubborn even if its a red herring, but theres a limit to how much writers want to play with viewers nerves by using a specific character, its so nerve wracking. You always feel so scared and msierable that what next problem min yeong will bring on dojun, its so stressful.

Woahh Dec 18 2022 8:10 am I am not impressed by grandpa actor, he is always screaming and screaming in true makjang drama's style, and inever get that scary and imposing vibe from him. He seems like chairman's secretary or elder son who is always shouting.

Also the grandma was always a shy quiet housewife minding her own business and suddenly she turns out to be such a clever conspirator who knows exactly why soonyang finance is being made, that grandpa will meet do jun and they will pass through which route and at that time someone has to ram the truck, and how she should pay the killers in a secret way. It seems very unbelievable and just a forced plot point that a homemaker woman suddenly ends up having ties with criminals and plans murders of husband. Also it seems like she is involved in money laundering based off seo min young and dojun's bar meeting, and grandpa and his shrewd secretary never knew about it nor does her 2nd son who always pries on others.

It felt very makjang in ep 12 specially with otp dramatic bg music. But anyways, all in all very entertaining to see political arc and family infighting. It has broken crash landing on you's rating record and now Jtbc holds top three highest rated cable dramas and interestingly all 3 are very makjang shows. Some people are speculating that this show could overtake world of married. I am happy for drama cast.

What an incredible, incredible actor and this is coming from a self-declared drama acting snob who Never, Ever leaves comments. The roller coaster this drama takes us on is refreshing and the scenes between SJK & LSM are absolutely electric!! It’s been a long while since I’ve watched a k-drama with top tier acting between two leads!! Could really do without the forced love line though.

E1 to e8 are the most crucial ones with actual events happening. Do criticize show but atleast don't lie in your criticism, just because you don't want people to watch a show. Like I dont like female lead both character and acting, i don't like grandpa actor's acting that much, even male lead's acting but overall show is great. Its one of the best writings in kdramas.

THEORY TIME: Guys i believe this accident was gramps doing, there is no way any child or grandchild has so many guts to plan this out. In the hospital right after the accident when gramps tells dojun to be careful and not trust anyone it was so weirdly clear he has a hand behind it.

Now my theory here is the discussion between grampa, dojun and grampa's top aide mr. Lee at the hospital when they are discussing grandpa's kids' plans to let financial holding company be setup but use directors to manipulate the votes.

"Grampa: They must feel burdened to come off as your opposition on the outside.It won't be easy to humor the directors for the next few days.But bad news.Once I show up at the board meeting, their votes are all mine.Once the holding company's plan passes the board meeting,we'll then vote to place Do Jun as a CEO candidate.This time, I'm going to cast my vote on you (on mr lee),

Mr.Lee:Don't worry.We always place an impossible candidate, for the sake of the board meeting.That way, it won't be confusing for the shareholders as the management cast an overwhelming amount of votes,for a candidate they want. Is that right?"

Grampa takess his aides advise that fight between siblings will break soonyang and better to keep it in family, grandpa being a ruthless moron gets vindictive against dojun for his audacity to want to buy soonyang and cause so much damage to his other children, so he creates a false impression of handing over soonyang to dojun and stages an accident, he knows his children will come up with a plan to halt the transfer to ceo ship in case chairman falls sick or goes in prolonged absence and the above conversation is actually about it, the impossible candidate will be seong jun and there would be some careful manipulation behind scenes by grandpa whether directly or instigated in getting him elected as the ceo. I doubt granpa will appear at board meeting, his delirium could bouts could also be fake. The chessboard game is between grandpa and dojun, and they are the actual rivals.

Every time he mentioned transferring the inheritance and the company to Do Jun he had a suspicious reaction. It's either that he was behind the accident, or not, but there's definitely something going on with him.

And… I’m sure Do Jun is alive. This is the one instance where he can change the “history” because it’s about him. This arc actually reminds me of “Again My Life”. Excited for the next 6 episodes!

Someone told me about electric car in the early 2000, I scolded him that he must be nuts if we went head to head against big guys in the industry coz they gonna step on us like we are just bugs. No regrets though. I Guess, watching this drama somehow made me smiles a lot. I am in for Granpa character. I saw the actor's other dramas, he was so different, I didnt recognize him in this drama. alright then.?

Lol. It could be the chairman behind the accident but why would he want to be in the car when it happens. My guess is the first son -1. This is because in episode on there was an argument between the first son (1) and his son (1-1) about and accident and denouncing his inheritance.

So now i understand they lure ppl with unlimited compensation bit in ads. 2) For uncle i meant atleast he should groom his daughter to take things in hand, in real chaebol world i think sons who dont have male scions and owners' daughters dont get ownership or charimanship because their concept is to keep it in family.

On ep 10 , I noticed one thing that chairman with all his competence and business discernment has raised his children very poorly, was exrremely disappointed when dong ki goes and screams at dad for his failure which was completely his own doing. Why his children feel so entitled. Same was case with hwa young, they are 50 plus but behave like elementary kids. The best example of Doongki's incompetence can be seen just from this that he invests massively in intl companies he is falsely reported to be part of dojun's portfolio because he believes 'dojun is lucky' with money and he will earn money following him and he makes decisions on fortune reads.

I have a feeling it could be chairman himself behind the accident.

It struck fear upon many so they bought insurance issued especially for.this.event. Nothing happened. So soonyang sold insurance policy for this. People pay the premium, nothing happened and the premium money went straight to soonyang earnings figure. 10 m. it seems. Sensible story actually. lol 2.Pure greed. it is not about his daughter, it is about him. Dont blame him, you might do the same if you were him. throw away the conscience out the window. we all human. 3. Korea's stipulations in inheritance law, make it possible to conduct certain ways to avoid (a thoroughly legal ways), instead of to evade ( illegal ways) in order to minimize the amount taxed at the bottom. Apparently if they have sold it before the death of the owner, the money is in the going concern category, not capitalized, went into profit loss instead of balance sheet, which would be treated differently accordingly, I assume, I dunno anything about tax regime in korea. But that sounds amicable. lol.

I fell in love with the dynamic due that is Do Jin and Grandpa; the conglomerate lifestyle is also interesting to see. The female lead's role seems out of place, I hope they don't spend too much time on it and forget that the high ratings are because of the top-class acting from Sung-Min and Joong-Ki.

Do your homework kids! Watch and learn from the veterans.When one Lead did superb job -here, the Chairman - then it was that obvious for the audiences to identify the mediocres, coz the top performers made a huge gap between him/her and the others, right before the audiences eyes. If you think you cannot close the gap then better not take the job. Nothing but a bad resume. Later on Dont say that you never got your best shot , coz you did. You blew it. In YWY autistic lawyer, everybody else backed off trying not to show their heads sticking out, give all the space to the lead.PD nim did that. But here the story line demands many heads to sticking out. Due to superb job by the chairman then everyone must be as good as him or at least able to follow the lead or end up as a liability.

Actually, it is an nice break from so many romcom dramas. I am just impressed how young SJK's look in this drama. He looks younger than he was in Descendance of the Sun. Almost like he has a reversed aging! LOL! Love his and grandpa acting! The story line is also well-written.

This show has that feel of Again my life even though they are different both story deals with second chance in life, even with all that info it was not an easy feat for Again my life protag he didn't go on investment spree etc even when he also had more info from previous life and even in his first life he was a good guy but not friendly he didn't ask help from others etc, In Reborn rich protag is not a saint if he didn't face that situation after he got the slush find he would still be serving the family and doing all the dirty deeds for them. This show is not bad, and it has some difference from the webtoon and yes they could have added more interaction with actress mother when he was a child which was there in the webtoon, he accepted them as family as a child. Cast is good, drama is not bad either, viewers are free to like or dislike the show. There are some good shows with even powerful acting that didn't get higher ratings etc, ratings don't prove that show is the best ever made.

He was killed by a member of this family because of their greed take this company for themselves so his revenge whether he finds out who killed him or not is to ultimately take what they all want more than anything else which is the company. So his revenge is justified and since he has knowledge of the future he has an advantage. Also, you said he’d leave commoners jobless, are you blind. Didn’t he save his original father’s manufacturing job in order to prevent his mother’s death. It was the grandfather who wanted to get rid of the employees and he saved everyone’s job including the founder that was the condition for investing in the grandfather to purchase it. YHW is determined to prevent his grandfather from ruining the lives of the common folk and make their life a little better. Although I feel like since his mother passed away he’s given up on his previous family especially in this life since their not his family realistically and now he has to help his parents from this time frame to safe them from the abuse and humiliation inflicted by his grandfather and his uncles and aunt. If he inherits or buys the company either way it’s a win win for him and his parents who want him to succeed.

@sarah attar YHW wanted to help his grandfather to start with but the grandfather ignored him because of some rules he put into place which says only the elders son and his first grandson who’ll inherit the company. The grandfather also didn’t want to give him a chance because of his father’s illegitimacy which the blame should be on the grandfather since he slept around and bore this illegitimate son. Since he realised no matter how hard he tries to impress his grandfather he would never gain his favour or approval he decided to add him to list and the people he wanted to take revenge on. BTW the grandfather is an awful man whose finds it amusing to put his children against each other for his sick twisted entertainment especially when he only wanted the elders child and his son to take over. But now he sees that they are useless and will not take the company beyond what he has accomplished so for his own greed he will allow YHW to have a chance not because he loves him but he will make his company successful. I hope YHW takes the compote on him while he’s alive. It will be the icing on the cake and very satisfying.

As for the romance, I’m sure it will come gradually especially since they had a brief encounter in his previous life and didn’t develop anything other than unpleasantness so since he’s asking her to take on a bigger role in his revenge plot means there will be more screen time together as before it was inconvenient due his bigger goal and not having time to spend with her.

If you put in parallel "Reborn Rich" and "Again my life" you will see how much is lacking in Reborn Rich. In Reborn Rich you don't see the main lead trying to help other better themselves but rather push them down and use them, you don't have a strong negative characters who have a lot of skills but who is clearly and undoubtedly a bad guy, you don't have 3 really strong females that you can look in awe and say "yup, I can take anyone of them as model because that are a model to strive to"

Its like she was just added as a filler character? She doesn't even feel like a main lead? Tiffany probably has more scenes than hers combined lol so I don't understand why is she part of the main lead cast? Also Joongki has better chemistry with Jihyun. They look good on screen together. I feel like they should've casted the female lead better that would complement Joongki. The FL here in her college era felt so force and doesn't even look like a college student. No offense but its the truth even the makeup and stylist team couldn't bring her justice. Oof.

If someone is wondering if it is worth to watch Reborn rich because it is another reborn this year (Golden spoon, Again my life) what make this drama original is that it is that reborn is kind pretext to show history of Korean modern economical history. There are a lot of references to real facts which definitely make even more entertainment for Koreans or people who just well know Korean history. I think actually real main character is Jin Yang-Cheol (at least until his death) which obviously reminds Samsung founder. So there is reborn but as well story inspired by true facts. I see also HBO Succession inspiration which since some time refresh a bit Chaebols plots in K-dramas.

The bankruptcy of Hando Steel and how Soonyang Group buy the company (in real life the company name is Hanbo Steel and Hyundai Group buy it to marger with Hyundai Steel), also the bankruptcy of Ahjin Motors which is 2nd largest Korean car manufacturer and how Soonyang Group went to acquired the company is actually real story of KIA Motors went bankrupt due to big dept of 1998 crisis and Hyundai Group buy it to be a subsidiary of Hyundai Motors.

So it kinda like the writer use real case study for the drama story line. You can learn a bit about economic and history from this drama

Dojun wants to use opportunities he has in form of future knowledge to build up a backup for himself to survive and take over the company on his own in case gramps doesn't give him. As of giving cash to family i think people are right but it would look awkward why an outsider is going such lenghts, also he thinks events happen in same manner as previous tinlmeline so he assumes if dad will lose job his mom will see it on tv and repeat of past, it would have been better had he contacted the family and assured his dad a job in a different factory if he gets laid off and financial assistance making anything an excuse like liking their food etc. At times I feel hyeon woo is not himself a smart guy, he is taking advantage ilof future but on his own capacity he is pretty average just like his gramps once said , 'is it his discernment or is he just lucky'? He seems lucky to me with the way he is clunsiky habdling many things and perhaps his lack of smartness is why he suffered so much as hyeon woo.

Soonyang is samsung he started with transportation business like in show gramps starts with rive distribution. Just read wikipedia of samsung owner and hyundai owner you will see drama has taken it all from there.

You have already so overpowered thing like knowing future and you just want to inherit company from grandpa. Super boring,lol for anyone who like business. I could understand if Jin Do-Joon had emotional attachment to inheritance like family of Jin Yang-Cheol but real he doesn't have such thing.

1) If Jin Do-Joon wants Soonyang, why not just appease his grandfather and obtain it rightfully? He is one of the heirs, and if he shows his competence and stayed on grandfather's good side I'm sure he would've been able to achieve his goal faster/easier. He has so many advantages under his wings, use them!

2) why did he not help his old family with the 24 million dollars he earned? He could've easily bought the restaurant earlier, or help the family directly; give them money, even $10,000 would be pocket change for him, it would've changed the family's outcome.

Still interesting and can't wait for the next episode, the episode 6 reveal was great.

If you Google Lee Byung Chul (founder of Samsung) you can notice that he has exactly the same glasses and very similar hair (black with white) like Jin Yang Cheol.

The first one is the story about Chairman Jin Yang Cheol who had became Rice Peddler with his very first truck. It's same with Founder of Hyundai story.

He was killed so he want to find who did it in a world where he never existed but he doesn't help his old family, he takes advantage of everything he knows it will happen ( but with no other specific extra skills ), it gets greedy and wanting to take over the corporation while preaching about the privilege if being born rich ( and no, it wasn't. Must to find out who killed him) and keeps quoting his now grandfather's autobiography ( written by God knows who became in the old world he died in '87 and the autobiography appeared in 2000) like it was real ( buddy, you know that those type of books are highly edited and embellished, right?)

I switched to Kdramas starting with 2010 to get away of the Hollywood woke products so when I see woke agenda themes like "you have been born with privilege and you can't get out of that even if you live a rightful life" it's a major turn away.

Wasn’t too impressed with the 1st ep. There were a few scenes in the early part of the episode which immediately exposed that the director may not be that good. Luckily he stabilised a little as the episode continued on. There was all-out effort to make the drama very solemn and it came out a little kitsch. Poor editing especially the part in the overseas bank… it was shown twice exactly as is and that’s many screen minutes. Screenwriting had just a hint that things may not be done well later.

Episode 2 has a slight change in pacing, tone and even style. It was done more Korean style drama like… if you get what I mean. But it is a lot less pretentious and the story moves at a good pacing. I prefer this episode. Kid in reborn role had put in effort to learn Song Joong Ki’s mannerism. However, the loose screenwriting is evident… eg the early scene where the kid talked to the grandma by the roadside.

Episode 3 was a little boring. It was presented in a much more light-hearted manner and felt like a totally different drama from the first episode. I am an avid fan of Song’s acting. I took notice of him way back from Sungkyunkwan Scandal and knew he will become big from his short screen time in Deep Rooted Tree. Even though I’ve moved on to be a bigger fan of another, his acting had never come into question, even though I’ve skipped some of his recent shows. I have to say, however, that this is the first time I’m disappointed with his acting (ep 3). Maybe he was too conscious that he had to play a much younger role (university student), but the actor had basically forgot his role of a man living about 40 years in 2 lives, and acted like a naive kid showing exaggerated facial expressions which was even more immature than his child counterpart. His acting here was forced and awkward (ouch it hurts to say that of my previous #1).

I have no doubt this drama will continue to pull in the ratings and will be considered a hit. For me, it’s still worth a watch at the moment but there’s no telling if I will drop it.

I hate the fact he wants SY rather build bigger company to compete and take hands SY group. So much changes on this drama but lets see how they remake this amazing adaptation webtoon stories. And another mysteries the plot says the one who kill him is Do Jun not Song Joon. So we expect that the one who possesed his body is the killer but somewhat like his still alive but tried to take revenged of Song joon for killing him. Oooh No! Im confusing at the end but Im excited to look forward at the end??

Hmmm Nov 20 2022 8:07 pm Its going really good, very well written ep 2 n 3 but when u think what he wud be without knowledge of future?And that everything is based on something impossible to happen, i lose excitement. We all have wished to go back in time n fix things like not fighting with friends etc etc when we got wiser, but could we do? The drama relies heavily on that wishful thinking.

Back to drama, i dont get why grandpa wants only his elder son to be the heir and not the competent ones. Also his anger in next episodes makes me think he could actually try to kill jundo. Jundo has no loyalty for gramps and rightly so he wants to try everything to take over the business and then grampa will be a helpless spectator. If someone could explain why take over of hando steel was important for soonyang? I ownder if people have guesses that both in gaus electronics and here soonyang both original companies are actually based on samsung owner. They didnt talk further on semi conductor businesses, what happned how they survived.

Again i want to know hando steel is important and mainly how it will help jundo take over soonyang. Only less liked part for me is shin hyun bin and her acting, rest its good. I honestly dont get chairman vibes from lee sung min he seems like a secretary worker of chairman. What i like is chairman's basic and a common man's dressing.

uru Nov 19 2022 10:51 pm so, i came and excited when i know about this drama because i read the webtoon. 2first episode are good, but if u read the webtoon, it is actually kinda dissapointing, because in webtoon Do Jun meet alot of his cousins from his uncle/aunt, then he actually start his journey from he was child, but seems writer delete alot of details, in webtoon the grandad actually true he is money/business minded, but he was warm to his grand children, and his journey is coming little by little from elementary, middle and high school, he start making company, playing stocks with his dad friend, he also invenst on some big movies that need budget like home alone and else, but guess they just want to use SJK faster, lot of details are gone here because we dun see how dojun really doing his magic at investing on business when he was little. anyway this is good drama, just as webtoon reader, kinda dissapointed with some of details changes, because webtoon story tbh is better than this
