Jung Ji-Woo (Seohyun) works for a large corporation. She has feelings for her co-worker Jung Ji-Hoo (Lee Jun-Young), but she hasn't expressed to him how she feels. One day, Jung Ji-Woo receives a package. The package was intended for her co-worker Jung Ji-Hoo, but the delivery was mixed up due to their similar names. When Jung Ji-Woo opens the package, she sees a dog leash in the box. At that time, Jung Ji-Hoo runs over and tells her that it is his package. The dog leash is intended for S&M use and belongs to Jung Ji-Hoo. He tells Jung Ji-Woo about his S&M fetish and his interest in playing a submissive role. Jung Ji-Woo does not pass judgement on Jung Ji-Hoo, which touches Jung Ji-Hoo. He asks Jung Ji-Woo if she would become his master. Jung Ji-Woo accepts and they promise to have a temporary three month relationship with Jung Ji-Woo becoming his master.

Lq Mar 01 2022 10:30 am Read abit of the web comic before watching this. Unlike the webcomic which felt informative and natural, the movie felt rushed and a little over the top. The r/s btwn the leads was also healthier and empathic in the comic. Despite it being a weird situation between jiwoo and jihoo, esp for jiwoo who is inexperienced, the comic actually made it more natural and believable by showing both character's thought process, the small interactions between them at the start and jiwoo's tendencies to be dominant which led jihoo to believe she could be his master. Jiwoo herself also started researching on it and upon talking to jihoo abt it, she became more understanding and empathetic towards him. Slowly, she accepted that idea and agreed to try to be his master. However in the movie, probably due to time constraint, they sped up their interactions so right off the bat it seemed abit abrupt and the development was weak. The DS relationship between them is also weak bcos jihoo who is an S still has control over jiwoo who is the D. For instance, jihoo called jiwoo master despite her telling him not to when they were discussing the contract, he ordered her to come to the office after work and he kissed her without consent during their final play. Jiwoo is also pretty inconfident abt being a D as she keeps asking him if it is ok, if he wans her to stop etc. Overall, it was still an enjoyable movie but if the production and script was better, this would have made a good series.

Its better for her to work on her acting skills right now instead of constantly taking on the lead role. Other hand, the male lead is really good

Kinda risky to watch with my parents, they might think weird of me xD But seriously, this is for those with a mature mindset and deep understanding. Some people might think this is porn-ish, but for me, it wasn't. It has a deep meaning to it and can be applied to different risks in being in a relationship; your differences, psychologically, behavior and acceptance of one another is important. Would have been better if this was longer, for I'm curios to Jihoo's past to have that kind of BDSM mindset in him. But still, what a great movie and kudos to Jun and Seohyun taking this role, great chemistry!! ♡

Ken Feb 17 2022 10:38 pm I think the original webtoon really well written, it's disappointing how they poorly done this adaption. One of example scene was being tied together on their date in huge crowd place.

In original, most of cases sub should being tied by themselves yet jiwoo tied the other end on her arm cos she think is unfair to let him experience it his own. Upon realizing he booked reservation in mall she couldn't take back her order (her friend who is also sub said Dom shouldn't be wishy-washy, don't lose face in front of their sub) so she did anything to the point spoonfed him to roll with her order

In this movie, jiwoo ask him not to be away from her, aware they're going to crowded place. Like teenage with huge curiosity, being excited over doing something naughty among many people.

Also dialogue of her confession speak so much about how her character written. In original "it's true I have feeling for you. You don't have to answer me now, take your time. That's an order" vs movie "I like you, let's date for real. That's an order". As if being Dom she have power to cloud his judgement with her command.

Things that I love about the webtoon was tho they packed such serious topic with comedy nicely, dynamic between lead was far more healthy and mature. I don't mind they have to rush the plot due of duration but I wish they don't cut down what supposed to be the original's biggest cham

Mimoosa811 Feb 16 2022 9:17 am I loved it so much, it's rare to see this type of topic in Korea, it's new refreshing, risky and not just stupidly based on sex and rough scenes like we are used to see in western countries.

For some ppl, they might be satisfied with current kdramas. For me it is too soft (their dry kisses...) with over-used plots and same characters, that's why I think this movie is a hit for me. I will remember it.

I can understand that some ppl could find it weird, it depends of your cultural and educational level but also open-mindedness to accept others ppl taste. And thats the message this movie wanted to convey, I think they did it really well. So I would recommend it to some people but not to others .

Just like the main actor said in an interview " this is not wrong, it's different" It's not even sexual, it's just a taboo topic and I learned a lot, it was interesting. I also loved both characters, their chemistry was amazing, very unique especially the male lead that I loved to much, the actor just portrayed it perfectly and he is so sweet.

Since the webtoon was quite mild about bdsm I don't understand why they didn't adapt it into series if they doing poorly summarize it as movie.

fleur Feb 12 2022 8:05 pm As a fan of the webtoon, I don't get why they are saying that the lead actress didn't understood jiwoo's character when she is the embodiment of jiwoo. Her tone was good as well as her expression. However, there are times when she supposed to not act at all esp during the drinking scene and when she was shocked at lee el, however, after that, her as jiwoo is meant to be. i can't think of anyone doing jung jiwoo.

Lee Jun Young is a great actor and I love the chemistry between the leads. Became his fan and fan of Ukiss and UNB after watching him in “Imitation” drama. Overall love ❤️ and enjoy the movie. Love to see more dramas of Lee Jun Young.

The conflict didn't even really built up well and the resolution felt rushed. I can't really comment on the tone but the expression on her face are sometimes a bit off. Too bad.. I was looking forward to it so much..

K Feb 12 2022 2:14 pm As a vivid fan of original work, since this is webtoon with so many eps it's tough to packed it into movie. Some adjusting is necessary but it was a shame for the story building, moral sense was enjoyable webtoon because the character development through small action so detail is needed. The movie kinda bland because they missed that details

Jihoo kinda cute in this adaption he used lots of huge gesture which make him cute, the original work was a lot calmer and gentleman type of guy so kinda missed a bit but the actor's performance is ok. Jiwoo was very tricky, in the original work she is woman with less word, charismatic, straight forward but very open minded. Most of times she always expressionless and natural Dom aura so it's hard to adjust this character. Watching the movie.. it was kinda underwhelming plot wise and it seems the actress didn't understand this character as much, at some scenes her expression was cold but her voice sounds slightly excited. So I'm kinda bummed with it

Overall movie kinda ok, I just wish they would adapt it to series so they could capture this webtoon charm better than packed it into 1 rushed movie

This kinda romance is really exists. its just they hide the desire because its very sensitive and not anyone can accept it. from here we can see what the sub actually feels. what make him choosing this romance. why Jiwoo accept him and why others cannot accept him. I cant complain on the acting I liked him and Seohyun was great. Hope to see more of her because she seems to mature a lot and she deserves more recognition.

So this story is more to a male hidden secret that get busted by a female who are not familiar with BDSM kinda a newbie and inexpert. So, If u really an open minded person pls watch this. I enjoy this movie. its kinda funny yet sext but for sure no nude! kissing? there is. ? but lets not focus on the kissing. lets focus on the story line. why he end up liking this kind of romance and why Jiwoo agree to be his master.

If you understand korean film/culture --- they are generally more conservative on the 'sexy' scenes as compared to western films. It is important to keep that in mind --- if you were having those expectations then you will be disappointed.

Even with the role reversal, I don't think this would make it better but boy I was wrong.. of course there are some cringe alert and issues but this film is definitely better than fifty shades..
