Stephen Druesedow Jul 06 2012 12:58 pm I also really enjoyed "A reason to live." I saw it recently and feel that it covered some really important themes for me. One important theme is the way Korea handles Christianity. I know that the movie may have been a bit more directed towards how society deals with crime and forgiveness in general, but I enjoyed seeing a Korean movie that did have modern day Christian philosophy as part of its main subject. I am american and have grown up in the church although I am very open-minded philosophically. I have spent about 3 years going to a church in NY that had mostly Korean people, so to so this theme being dealt with is personally very interesting. I haven't seen a movie that questioned this central tenet of forgiveness in a such a way and thought it was a good premise. I'd like to chat more about this film and korean cinema in general. Johno Jun 02 2011 5:50 am Thursday afternoon in UK, and finished work for the day I flicked thru' the channels looking for something interesting to watch ( usually rubbish at this time) when I came across one of the gentlest, heartwarming, human movies I have seen in a long time.........As much as wanted to give young Sang-woo a clip around the ear, for being so disrespectful to his grandmother, I also wanted to praise the old woman for her undying love and pure wisdom in dealing with the spoilt child. Loved it for the naturalness of the acting, beautiful landscapes and humble folk............Keep up the good work....

The day time TV is usually so boring, it's all about couples arguing, taking lie detector tests etc. Anyway I flicked through the channels and your flim was showing. Straight away I was captivated. It was peaceful, touching, simple and so realistic. I could relate to it even though I am not Korean. The unconditional love shown by the grandmother reminded so much of my own mother. I was moved to tears. I think The Way Home is the best film I've seen in a very long time. I will always look out for your work. Thank you for producing such a beautiful thought provoking movie.
