Notes

Based on novel "Kyojo" by Hiroki Nagaoka (published from September, 2009 to February, 2011 in magazine Story Box). The novel won the Shukan Bunshun Mystery 10 in 2013.

Kitsune Feb 12 2023 8:15 pm A great police jdrama thriller. Finally get to know what happens to Kazama in that chilling post credit scene. Now I know why he's so ruthless in his training, he doesn't want the cadets to end up injured like him or worse like his partner.

Aiko is right to a certain extent that sometimes the cadets need a break but Kazama is trying hard to prepare them for the real world and doesn't want them to go unprepared and off guard being killed. Criminals wont' be merciful.

Can't wait for Kyojo 3!

@SnowDanshi Riiiiiiight?????? I should have read your comment on this page before watching the show so I had not been so surprised ?????? Alas, extremely surprised was what I was. Yes, I really was. ???

I keep on thinking whether they found a way to do that on a somewhat regular basis or did it happen after their first and only date. ?????? I had not expected Soma to ask Isaki on a date RIGHT after the cheese in hamburger as he seemed pretty distant and cold at the first sight -- but Isaki had liked him since they were kids, I bet she was just extremely happy to finally get closer to him. He realized at the end, too, that she was the little girl at the same police party. So perhaps, he understood how much she had liked him, too. I liked when he graduated, Soma told Kazama that his heart was not lost, but he admitted he felt reluctant that his mom would be happy because he graduated. I felt him, I work in this field that I'm quite good at but feel reluctant to continue (and feel the urge to change profession) because I want to deny my mom. I don't want her to think that the only reason I succeed is because of her. Stupid, ain't I? I don't have my own Isaki and baby to push through but maybe, maybe, parents' love are a real deal even though the way the express it is OFTEN (if not ALWAYS) very twisted. My parents. Soma and Isaki's, too. Oh, well, perhaps hanging on is not a bad decision.

I'm sorry for babbling ??? but I like that there is always this... sense of... hope at the end of the show. Even if one made mistakes in the past, one can change. Even if there are people who must leave. There will also be new people who arrive. Life goes on. Doing our best right now is plenty. It is enough.
