"Followers" contains the stories of people in Tokyo who are influenced directly or indirectly by social media networks. Rimi Nara (Miki Nakatani) is a popular photographer. Jay Quintana Sep 24 2020 5:56 am This is not the type of show I seek out, and I'm not sure why I watched it, but I'm glad I did. I'm not a huge fan of Ninagawa's visual style, it's vivid and colorful, but a little too frantic for my taste. That said, I got into the story and really felt for the lead character. Hopefully, Japan is opening up when it comes to casting and we'll see more and more mixed people and even non-Japanese people playing Japanese characters.
