Nam Han-Jun (Seo In-Guk) is a former criminal profiler, who now works as a fraudster. For his scams, he disguises himself as a fortune teller and runs the fortune teller shop Minamdang. He attracts customers with his attractive physical appearance and smooth talking skills. He scams his customers for money, but he also gets involved in their cases and helps solve them. He even provides customer service for his clients. Nam Han-Juƒn's partners are Su-Cheol and Nam Hye-Jun. Su-Cheol runs a private detective agency and Nam Hye-Jun is Nam Han-Jun’s younger sister. She is an elite hacker.

Han Jae-Hee (Oh Yeon-Seo) has worked as a detective for 3 years. She is enthusiastic about her job and tries to follow a righteous path. Somehow, Han Jae-Hee gets involved with Nam Han-Jun.

Bhavna Aug 16 2022 5:08 pm Total waste of time increasing the episode to 18. Already guest Houri in middle of episode. I hated the role detective Han being stupid and idiot. Too much of useless flashback. Could have kept the story simple and suspicious. Nevertheless worse drama for me except for the actor who played profile as well as shaman. Only he did justice to his role otherwise I would have given 1/10 to this drama.

I think that Nam Han-Jun is going to kill Cha Do-won (ep18) because he doesnt have any other choice. It’s a “you kill oder you die” situation. Just like Auntie Im predicted. Probably after detective Han Jae-huin finds out that Cha Do-won faked everything & betrayed her. Once she gets to the scene she tells him (Nam Han-Jun) to run & they will have a safe place they’ll always meet. (Basically just like the end of Vicenzo) Of course it could still be that Cha do-won doesn’t die but gets a well deserved ending. Or he dies and Nam Han-Jun stayes free (because it was defense???) It makes me so mad (in a good way) because I was fooled by the producers even though I knew that this was the typical plot-twist for this drama. I’m proud that this wasn’t that predictable to me like it was for others because I kinda liked Cha Do-won and felt kinda sorry like I always do when it comes to SOME second leads.. But I take that back. Stillll he’s super hot… Why does he always have crazy rolls. Just like in Abyss… cant believe its soon over.

For me this drama not so hype, but im still continue watching for the latest episode cause i really want to know who's real Gopuri, was it same as what i guessed.. but yeah 3 more episodes to come. Anything can happen..

Gopuri sekhi Aug 15 2022 3:20 pm !!!Spoiler Alert!!! DO NOT WATCH WHILE LOOKING FOR JUST A REVIEW IT'S SPOILER...

From the very 1st episode onwards it's was so damn sure to me it that it was Prosecutor Cha Do Won who is gonna be the real Gopuri. Even the writter confused the whole audience by showing that the child with Aunty Im as his brother. It was clear when they almost caught Gu Tae Su nd it was Prosecutor Cha who said he almost caught him and escaped and when they showed that person wearing a full sleeve shirt as the culprit made me more sure that he itself is the Gopuri. And here I was waiting to show how they're gonna show his real identity.

In today's episode the scene where he says he saw his hyung strangling that kid seemed an utter lie to me when he said (maybe cuz I already had a doubt on him as gopuri) and I felt like Nam Han Jun too understood (maybe I think he got?) cuz he said sometimes the memory can change due to trauma. And it was he who was blackmailing his brother on that because even he doesn't knew who killed whom. But I have doubts on his brother cuz he is said to be a psychopath actually I have a doubt cuz he always gets angry bt didn't show as him making seriously injuries to anyone (but still in episode 15 did harm his subordinate with pen nd I felt as if it wasn't the first time). Anyway I have more doubt to clear so lets keep watching.

Actually this drama has everything in it. Idk why bt this drama was a bit too predictable (maybe I had already watched alot of them) to me bt it is a cool one...

Maybe the main female character in the first few episodes is annoying but that doesn't make the kdrama bad. People should see the positive of Kdrama and not take their hate out on a character, I'm just saying.

His actions also interferes with the fl's which makes the drama frustrating to watch. I think Prosecutor Cha is somewhat related to the case and he is monitoring everything to stop it from getting solved

I am glad that since I read the reviews that I am not the only one not feeling her. Her role is not the least bit realistic and she keeps doing that look where she seems confused and doesn't know what is going on.

Sunbae Aug 05 2022 9:50 am Jae hui isn't just a detective but also great in martial arts but then she turns an idiot the writer made her one, the time she's inside a van it's a camper van with so mich stuffs to be used on smashing the glass but instead she just cried out for help on the suspect, the suspect locked because of the intention of killing her why would he help her. Isn't it out human instinct to look for something on that situation given that she's a trained professional. Hey writer nim the story is great but then you just made the cast an idiot it's annoying on that particular scene.

Yes, she has skills as a detective but the problem is she's too stubborn and mostly does what she wants instead of being more objective and looking at the whole thing. She focuses too much and small things which makes her miss everything else.

Am I the only one that thinks the real killer is prosecutor Cha? Like even when Han Jun fought the killer when he killed his friend,you can see the killer is about 2 inches or so taller same as prosecutor Cha while the other guy they caught with the glasses is shorter. Also he always seems to be super invested in the case which I find odd. Like he was also the first person on the scene when her brother died and he was the one on that case. They are trying very hard to throw us off his scent but since like ep 3 I had my suspicions about him.

Didn't like her since the beginning... still I thought she would get better after some time but hell no, she just becomes more annoying and we're already halfway. I would be happier if they don't end up together tbh.

Really hoping it wouldn't turn into some romantic drama towards the end although the possibility of that happening is quite big.

Flower Jul 26 2022 3:57 pm The story when minamdang team move is always fun to watch. I seen some comments about FL annoying character. I watched the FL in other drama, she has good acting at comedy. I think her character can be more charm if it more developed, dont blame her too much. Slightly romance scene was good and funny, waiting how far it will became. Overall, I love this drama and vibes of whole cast.

I even like Cha Do won despite everyone said he might be the culprit. The FL is the only one in the whole show that i despised so much. All she wants is to win at least once. Even though after many incidence that proves the ML is right, she still wants to win over him. 3 years ago was also partly her fault for pursuing CSY alone and was being impatient. And the latest ep, when she was trying to so-called protect ML, it still looked like she was actually doubting his intelligence when everythg he did should have proven how clever he is. I dont whether the writer purposely make her charater dumb or the actress herself could not make us empathize nor sympatize with her to understand her actions..i wanted to skip her scenes too but there are always crucial info in that scene..so i hv to endure it..but not sure until how long i can do that..aisshhh

I just cant take oh yeon-seo’s character- soooo annoying. Plus she doesnt have any exprrssion. Its like she cant move her mouth. She is so stiff. Even in korean odyssey she was expressionless and boring.

Yet the woman we see that the end of ep 9 (epilogue) ist The Real mastermind and controls all. Thats why I think Ceo Lee Min-Gyeong is, but I could be wrong :)

Arin Jul 18 2022 7:53 am I remember on ep 5 when su cheol n hanjun went to choi yeong seop house then they saw a few stuffs neatly arranged (while yeong seop house was literally messy) and then su cheol said to hanjun “turns out there are other people like you” (since hanjun is a neat one). And then on ep 6 when choi yeong seop being interrogated by han jae hui and the prosecutor, the time when prosecutor said the same dialogue as han jun, it was “the culprit must be like a savior to you” that make han jun, su cheol, and hye jun a lil bit shocked, then su cheol said to han jun “looks like prosecutor cha and you have something in common”. These two scenes made it a little bit obvious that cha do won has something to do with all the cases

Elle Jul 17 2022 10:16 pm So far I’m thinking Cha Seungwon because the way he walked into that funeral, idk he seemed suspect. Also, the prosecutor seems suspect but that’s really obvious. I’m hoping they go in a slightly different direction because he’s being suspicious. He has this way of making sure he’s in the mix on whatever’s happening. With CSW, we haven’t seen him much but he is powerful so I’m thinking he might be mixed up in the mess.

CritiQueen Jul 14 2022 4:37 am Woahhh I thought I wasn't the only one, the drama has a good start but gets a bit annoying in the later episodes. They should do something about the FL, her character grows weaker every episode. She left a strong impression in the first episode, but failed to maintain that. They shouldn't have added FL. Even without her, the story will still be worth my time. I believe the guys in the cafe will do justice to the plot just fine.

Character Inconsistent Jul 13 2022 3:54 pm I liked the drama at first but seems going downhill fast starting from Ep 4 and 5. The characters are very inconsistent as in many of K-Dramas I have seen where the female lead kicks ass but turns into a stereotypical damsel in distress.

- The female lead is shown as super tough with years of martial arts training that took out a dozen gangsters in the first couple of episodes. Also shown when catching the sexual harassing pervert scene but she turned into a tofu in later episodes who cannot seem to defend herself even from one single offender. Pickup a crowbar against Choi Yeong-Seop ("patsy killer") and still gets beat up. Where is the super cop and speed?

- Male lead also suppose to have years of training as seen in first episode but he is also acting like a tofu. May be he is acting like Clark Kent for now, who knows.

- Male lead is a high school classmate (which is a big big deal in Korean society) of FL's brother and she does not know that or the story neglected. How did they (ML and child FL) get acquainted as shown in the beginning of the story?

- Why is that most Korean dramas depict Korean police as corrupt and inept? It is true that in Korea justice system is really bad? (I have read, being a Korean and reading MAJOR Korean newspapers, all you have to do is apologize and they will let you go. First time sex offenders are let go "because it is the first time child molester, because he is sorry and will not do it again") In many dramas, repeatedly the police investigators miss the fact and act like a buffoon.

Anyway, this is becoming a bit harder to watch. Writers should have stick to the story and not stray from the character too much. I hope this improves.

She looked 13-14 then,so if after 15yrs(my guess) she aged to be 30 I think it's not far fetched for her to look like that especially with the attitude. R. Robertson Jul 09 2022 7:43 pm Started off okay... then, by episode 4... yeah it is good. Watch it. The change in mood from epi. 1 to epi. 4 is smooth. Seo In Guk (ML) and Oh Young-Seo (FL) are great actors. Nice to see Kang Min-Na again on screen. Cast is great.

As for the song at the end of episode 4 @V... "we have to survive..."... it might be an original for the show that will be released soon. I like that many Korean Dramas do that.

Elle Jul 07 2022 8:20 am The show is is funny and the case is top tier. I have seen a change, recently, in the way women are written in dramas and it's been a good change. But I don't find the repeated law-breaking from the FL funny, and her telling his personal business which some may not be aware of.

Ep. 3, took it even further and I'm thinking, that's not funny, but scary. It's hard to go from funny to frustrating in a matter of seconds but dramas do pull it off. But also, why doesn't the ML have better security if he's doing all this shaman stuff?? They seem to be very techy but you get caught slipping too much.

Clearly the FL is great at her job so why write her as if she's also a law-breaker too. Mostly this worries because I'm not sure if the FL will use the info she finds on the ML against him, or if she's doing it because she has something unresolved with him. The latter I'd be okay with moreso than using something illegally obtained against someone.

The cast has good chemistry and I like the drama. I love all the little references they make and the FL entrance was so cool. Looking to see if the ML will stop scamming and go back to the legal side of things and if the FL and ML will resolve whatever happened years ago.

I already know by the time this drama ends, whatever I was feeling is gonna be wrapped up into a ball of emotions. It happens all the time lol

The younger version of the FL is definitely an highschool kid and there's nothing wrong with the ML staying the same. Is not not how he looks in real life? ? The writer just wants you guys to have something to talk about. Lol...

yoon Jul 05 2022 10:04 am i agree with the commenter below me. they have the same age irl but in the drama when he was in uni, she look like shes still in primary/elementary school which means their age gap would atleast be about 10 years. in the present times she look atleast 30 and him being 40 makes no sense. they could’ve or actually should’ve made her ATLEAST a highschool student when he was in uni if they insist on the different ages

jamjam Jul 04 2022 9:28 pm I came here to try and see the FL and ML characters ages. The timeline and age gap isn't making any sense so it's making the drama harder to watch.. son another note, I am suspicious of Cha Dowan, i feel like he might be the killer or not a good person just because how little we know about him and the scenes he is in (this is just my guess but there is still a lot of episodes so we'll have to wait and see)

If Oh Yeon Seo had been the FL with Seo In Guk in "Doom at Your Service" that series would have been outstanding and had a better outcome. Here's wishing everyone good luck!

I thought both of them are of the same age and yes both main actors are born in '87 but the characters are not. I just don't buy that she's supposed in middle school while he's on the police academy, he doesn't age a day while she got older. And isn't he supposed to be in his 40's because of the age gap, and with her infamous work experience taking down higher ups at her old station or something like that, right? Maybe I'm reading way too much on that. Hyped for Mina tho, she look extra cute in this one.
