Lee Dong-Sik (Shin Ha-Kyun) was once a capable detective. He now works at the Manyang Police Substation in a small city and does all the tedious chores at the station. His life is quiet there. One day, Detective Han Joo-Won (Yeo Jin-Goo) is transferred to the same police substation. He is assigned to work as Lee Dong-Sik’s boss and also his partner. Han Joo-Won is an elite detective and comes from a distinguished background. His father has a good chance of becoming the next chief at the National Police Agency. Han Joo-Won also has a secret.

A serial murder case takes place in the small, peaceful city. The case is the same serial murder case that took place 20 years ago and changed Lee Dong-Sik’s life. The two detectives work to catch the killer.

Avlov Mar 06 2021 6:37 am Tbh, i dont enjoy the drama. Since episode 1, they dont focus on looking for suspect and evidences. All they have in conversation is offending Joo Woon, challenging him because he is a "city" police officer, and being proud to live in small village and protect each other.

Even the flashback of Dong Sik was suspected 20 years ago doesnt give me any clues. Idk whether tonite's episode will be better or their conversation only goes around in circles.

Lucy Mar 06 2021 6:31 am At least in this latest episode, I finally knew the reason why HJW acted that way. I mean why the hell would you go around and spilled out your instincts and guts without any evidence. Now I supposed the murderer ball is passed to KJM. Cant wait for the next episode.

Maya Mar 06 2021 4:27 am I am not really the type of commenting about dramas and it's literally the first time I'll do it because? Why not?? Inistress ako ng dramang ito. Both the main characters are annoying me to the bones but the character that Yeo Jin Goo's portraying, being a very doubtful one had annoyed me to another level. However, these reasons are proof that this drama is a good one, for me!

sf Mar 06 2021 12:40 am Lee Dong-Sik looks crazy, acts like crazy, his arrogance is not justified by anything plus, if we add to these, the actor appearance, DS character is annoying as hell. For 20 years, DS has not discovered the culprit, but he despises his partner effort to solves the crimes. I hate the actor for his way to act and DS character too.

sensible viewer Feb 28 2021 9:14 am Dong shik actor i saw him in his drama last year the psychiatrist neither liked his looks nor acting, but hes so amazing here. Looking v handsome plus really like his acting, very detailed. He really hooks you to drama. Dama is quite interesting tho i havent gone beyond ep 2. Yeo jin gu i at times just end thinking i am hearing the voice of do u like brahms male lead. So far intriguing. Tho im kinda tired of same red ribbon kind of serial killing plotlines from signal to tunnel to some other dramas too. Its about time koreans either overcome trauma of actual women serial killings from 80s or just fully expose the killer if he was guarded by authorities back then and some ppl in media are aware hence make dramas on it.

Purple Feb 27 2021 7:39 am At first, im interest.. I love mystery, i love seo jin go and shin ha kyun. But at episode 2, i realize this is too heavy.. Im bored and tired.. Specially for dong sik. If he wants to clears his name and find the truth.. He should coorporate with some friends , who can be trusted rather than work alone and being a sacratis to everyone.

On episode 1, i guess dong sik, park jung je and han ki hwan is the suspect, on episode 2 han jo woon looks so weird and also theres lee chang jin, If theres new suspect on episode 3, im give up.. I'll waiting for the last episode only for know, whos the killer.

anankee Feb 27 2021 6:14 am why all the characters are suspicious, it's very difficult to guess or this is some kind of strangers from hell where a group of psychopaths disguise themselves as cops or something, anyway this drama is very interesting !!

I mean.. Flower of evil is different, that series is a masterpiece. meanwhile this one... this has different formula.. this is like watching Hello Monster/ Tunnel/Signal/Voice type of drama without those time travelling shit.

Most of the time, the culprit is always around them.. if its police crime thing, the villain is always the police.. always one of them. I think they just make it seem that lee dong sik is suspicious character ..this series is trying to make us think maybe he's the killer..

usually at the beginning of the series, we are always trick to think like the main lead is the real killer to divert the real one.

i feel like something is off with ... Han Joo-Won..... he seems to see things that aren't there.. and his father send him off somewhere far.. he must have some hidden dark past that his father is afraid that it might ruin things for him...

The craziest and annoying is Lee Dong-Sik I don't know how I will manage to watch this drama seeing him all the time in it? The way the actor is playing DS's character is as annoying as hell. But nobody in that town seems to be mentally sane.

Hence , i used to research Korean dramas after seeing that talented actor. I have something to do ahead , thanks to him i got to know that there are many talented actors in Korea in different fields. Hope one day I could meet him in person , as well as I think this drama will be a high - rated one . Good luck!
