47 Ronin

Arisa Ushioda is a direct decendent of Matanojyou Ushioda, the highest ranking samurai of the 47 Ronin, now being made into a major motion picture starring Keanu Reeves ("The Matrix") and directed by Carl Rinsch and is currently being written by Chris Morgan ("The Fast & Furious", "Wanted", "Cellular").

47 Ronin chronicles the famous story of a band of Ronin (masterless Samurais) who go on a quest to avenge the death of their master in 18th century Japan. Matanojyou Ushioda carried Kira's head to the front of the grave of their feudal lord after revenge. The story of the 47 Ronin is very much loved by all Japanese for its portrayal of honor and loyalty.

In the Japanese adaptation of 47 Ronin, Naniwa Chusingura, she portrayed Kotomi, a key character and one of the few actresses in the movie.
