Plot
Based on a true story, "Yamanai Ame wa Nai" tells the story of famous weather forecaster Atsushi Kurashima (Tsunehiko Watase) who learns that he has throat cancer. For Atsushi, this all the more devastating because without his voice he can't work as a weather forecaster. Atushi learns that even if his surgery is successful there is still a fifty percent chance he could lose his voice. Yet, with the tender care and support from his devoted wife Yasuko (Hitomi Kuroki), Atsushi is able to overcome cancer. Then the long time married couple learns that Yasuko is in the late stages of cancer herself ...
