Itsuki (Yoshino Kimura) met Bryan Jenkins (Bj Fox) while studying in London and they married a few years later. After Itsuki's mother passes away, Itsuki moves back to Japan with her husband Bryan Jenkins and their 6-year-old daughter Alice Jenkins (Isla Rose). Bryan Jenkins places his career in advertising on hold and takes care of the home while Itsuki works. Cultural differences and language barriers become issues while the family adjusts to life in Tokyo.
