ep. 1
As usual, Kim Young-hee is selling fish at the market. Strangely though, there are few customers today and Young-hee hears from another fishmonger, Ok-shim, that a new nearby grocery store is selling fish at special prices. Finally, Young-hee puts her fish in a cart and takes Da-young, who is at the market today, to the front of the store. They begin selling fish cheaply. Na-young comes walking up and sees Da-young and her mother, but she covers her face with her purse and runs off.
Tae-geun, Dan-ok and Jun-mi are enjoying themselves at a resort. A Japanese tourist sees Dan-ok and seems to know her, but an embarrassed Dan-ok quickly flees the scene. Ga-young, a lifestyle magazine reporter, is doing a cover shoot at Sin-ryul’s cafe and accidentally breaks a glass. She apologizes and offers compensation but Sin-ryul just glances at her and walks off.
A drunken Jun-ho has something he must say to Ga-young and he asks her to meet him, but then he passes out. The two of them spend the night in a hotel and Jun-ho has no idea of what happened. Su-yeong meets Mi-ae in a convenience store where he is working part time and brings her back to his room. Na-young is showing off her new cell phone to Da-young when some strange women show up at the house. They’re looking for Ga-young, claiming that some girl seduced their son-in-law, and Young-hee is shocked. Then, Ga-young comes home and the women apologize, saying that she’s not the same person in a photograph they have. Na-young pleads with her angry mother, saying that she didn’t know the man she was seeing was married. Kang-su feels sad when he hears Young-hee beating her daughter.
ep. 2
Ga-young asks Yoo-na, while she is sitting next to Jun-ho, if she likes him, and she boldly states that she loves him. Surprised, Ga-young quickly turns and walks away with Jun-ho following behind. Ga-young tells a pleading Jun-ho that she wants to end their relationship and that she never wants to see him again. Su-yeong gives some rice and vegetables that Na-young was preparing to eat to Mi-ae and she devours it with relish. Na-young later looks up Gang-su, while he is busy working in the meat section at the grocery store, and asks to borrow some money, which Kang-su lends her. Na-young goes to meet the married man and pretends to cry, saying she can’t believe he was married. She tells him that it’s her birthday and he buys her some clothes and a new cell phone. Ga-young finds a glass like the one she broke in Sin-ryul’s cafe, buys it, and takes it to the cafe. She tries to give him the box with her business card in it, but he’s apathetic. Na-young exchanges the clothes she received from the married man for a refund and pays back Gang-su.
Ga-young, Na-young and Da-young spend a few fun hours together in a sauna. Jun-ho keeps calling Ga-young but she refuses to answer, so he finally goes to Young-hee’s (Ga-young’s mother) shop in the market. Not knowing what’s happened, Young-hee and Ok-shim talk about the wedding and Jun-ho doesn’t know what to say. Jun-ho goes to see Ga-young who is taking a walk on a hillside, apologizes to her and asks her to reconsider, and she flatly rejects him again. Tae-geun, Dan-ok and Jun-mi return from their trip. Sin-ryul films Ga-young with a hidden camera while she is at work in his cafe. Ga-young sees that the box she gave him hasn’t been touched so she approaches him to say something and leaves. Only then does Sin-ryul open the box and find Ga-young’s business card. Su-yeong brings Mi-ae over again and a big fuss takes place when they accuse her of being a thief.
ep. 3
Turning the tables on her, Jun-ho tells Ga-young that he is afraid of her and apologizes. He now says that he wants to end it, and she is confounded. Meanwhile, Na-young takes pictures of designer goods in front of a store and wishes she could have them. Then she runs into Sin-ryul. She sees him driving away in his car and she starts thinking that he’s just perfect for her. Su-yeong and Mi-ae sit together on a hillside, looking into a stream and talking. They are starting to really like each other and Gang-su gives Su-yeong some advice. He suggests that Su-yeong, who wants to take care of Mi-ae, lie to his family and tell them that she is pregnant.
Young-hee tells Ga-young while she’s getting ready to leave one morning to go see Jun-ho’s relatives and set up a date for the wedding. Ga-young responds that she’s not getting married. Dan- calls Ga-young and tells her to stop over for a visit and Ga-young wishes her a happy birthday. Jun-ho brings Yoo-na home and Dan-ok is bewildered. Ga-young runs into Jun-ho’s younger sister Jun-mi in front of their house and when they go inside, Ga-young is speechless to see Yoo-na there. Na-young also sees Jun-ho and Yoo-na together when she goes to see him at his office. She calls Ga-young and hears that Jun-ho is indeed cheating on her sister. While Yoo-na is in the restroom, Na-young follows her in and pours some dirty water on her.
ep. 4
Jun-ho tries hard to placate an angry Yoo-na but she becomes even more upset instead. He also yells over the phone to Ga-young (Kim Hye-soo), explaining that he is disappointed, and Ga-young only wonders what’s going on. She presses Na-young as to what happened with Jun-ho and Na-young tells her it was nothing, and then yells that something big is bound to happen. Mi-ae sees some photographs on Su-yeong’s camera and he tells her not to look at them and quickly takes his camera back. The two of them go for a walk, and Mi-ae tells Su-yeong that she would like to live with him and his family. She leans on his shoulder. Ga-young returns again to Sin-ryul’s cafe because of work and he happens to overhear her talking on the phone about a large space for remodeling. He watches and takes pictures of her.
Mi-ae comes across Na-young’s credit card bill and shows it to Na-young’s mother who confiscates the credit card when she comes home and cuts it up with scissors. An upset and crying Na-young tells her mother that Jun-ho dumped Ga-young. Young-hee then promptly heads off for Jun-ho’s office.
ep. 5
Ga-young’s mother grabs Jun-ho by the neck and asks how he could do such a thing to her daughter. He is so embarrassed he just wants to get out of the office. Da-young drops by her aunt’s fish shop and hears from Ok-shim that she just left without saying anything. Da-young then informs Na-young. Young-hee is dumbfounded to hear Jun-ho say that he is afraid of marrying Ga-young. Ga-young is looking for a house to be used for her photo shoot when she runs into Sin-ryul. Jun-ho continues trying to placate an upset Yoo-na and Na-young starts a fight with the two of them. Na-young goes after Yoo-na when she curses her mother and the two of them fight, pulling at each other’s hair. Na-young screams at Jun-ho, telling him that she doesn’t want to have anything to do with him.
Ga-young accepts a ride in Sin-ryul’s car. He asks her to have dinner with him, and she refuses. She then gives in after he tells her about how tired he is of eating alone. He later gives her a ride home and Na-young sees this. Na-young asks Ga-young to introduce her to Sin-ryul, but Ga-young simply tells her sister that he is married.
ep. 6
Ga-young is surprised to see Sin-ryul while she is shooting at the house and even more surprised to find out that he owns it. She then hears from the photographer that Sin-ryul is preparing to start a magazine. She calls a manager in her company and complains about not being informed of this situation and Sin-ryul, overhearing her conversation, smiles to himself. While working at the grocery store, Na-young gets into an argument with a customer wanting to return something, and Gang-su restrains her. Mi-ae brings her clothes from home and unpacks them. She also tells Su-yeong that she feels invisible around his family’s house. After getting a few things off her chest, she breaks down crying.
Ga-young and Sin-ryul have some wine after the photographer is done shooting and Ga-young drinks quietly without saying much. Na-young gets together with some of her friends, and, remembering a map of Paris that she has, starts talking as if she has lived there.
Jun-ho becomes nostalgic while looking at some of the things he has received from Ga-young. He gathers these things up and goes over to her house. While waiting for her out front, he sees Sin-ryul helping a drunken Ga-young get home. Feeling a little angry and jealous, he gives her a diary and photo album, which she then throws into a nearby garbage bag.
ep. 7
To Sin-ryul who tells Ga-young to take the car as a kindness, she leaves the key behind and walks away saying that it is too much. Na-young tells mother and Da-young that there was a guy who dropped Ga-young home and that the car is probably from him. Mi-ae tells Su-yeong that it is hard deceiving her mother and Su-yeong yells at her saying she should just say everything. Mother hears that and censures Su-yeong.
Mother censures Ga-young for getting rides from someone else’s husband. Ga-young explains herself by saying that he is just a superior from work. Jun-ho is scolded by Dan-ok for spending too much with his credit card. Tae-geun asks Jun-ho to visit grandmother. Jun-ho asks Yoo-na to come with him. However, Yoo-na doesn’t really want to. At that moment Yoo-na’s friends come.
Na-young is bored at home so she follows Kang-su to where he sells stuffed animals. She starts dancing and selling the stuffed animals instead of Kang-su. The sales is good because of Na-young and she is happy. A car with the friends that Na-young met last time stops in front of Na-young who is dancing. They laugh at her. Kang-su hits the friend who picks a fight at Na-young. The incident becomes big and Kang-su is taken to the police station. Na-young’s friend won’t come to an agreement so Na-young and Su-yeong don’t know what to do.
Sin-ryul asks Ga-young if she wants to buy that car for half the price but Ga-young has already bought a used car. While talking to the team leader and the photographer, Ga-young finds out that Sin-ryul is not married and she is surprised. In the end, Su-yeong and Da-young goes to Jun-ho to ask for help with Kang-su.
ep. 8
Sin-ryul who came to help Ga-young asks her to take off her stockings quickly. Ga-young hesitates for a while and goes to the back of the car and takes them off. However, Sin-ryul is looking at the bottom of the car and that’s when Ga-young realizes she has been fooled. Sin-ryul laughs out loud leaving in his car. Ga-young asks the photographer if he could look for a job opening for Na-young.
Na-young tries to mix rice food with seasonings and realizes the order of the seasonings have been changed. She yells at Mi-ae for changing the order. Mi-ae yells back at her and Da-young tries to stop the two of them. Da-young tells Mi-ae that she and Su-yeong are not the real son and daughter of their mother and that she is their big mother. Mi-ae tells Da-young who is worried, not to worry because she is not pregnant.
Sin-ryul calls a maintenance guy to fix Ga-young’s car before she is out of work. Ga-young tries to leave when she finishes what Sin-ryul gave her to translate, but Sin-ryul gives her more work. At that moment, Ga-young’s car is fixed and back so Sin-ryul lets Ga-young go. Ga-young takes a look at the planning report she got back from Sin-ryul and finds a performance ticket in there.
Jun-ho calls Yoo-na who is sick, but is surprised to hear a man pick up her phone. Na-young tells Kang-su that he should not like her and that they should just remain as friends. The photographer calls Ga-young that Na-young has a job. Na-young is happy but complains. Na-young boasts at her mother that she has a job.
ep. 9
Seeing Sin-ryul take Ga-young home, Jun-ho calls Ga-young. Sin-ryul leaves with his car. Jun-ho asks if Ga-young is dating her superior from work and tells her to be careful. Ga-young hears from Na-young that Mi-ae is not pregnant. Ga-young is surprised. Su-yeong leaves the convenient store to look for Mi-ae and doesn’t come back home. Mother is worried and waits for Su-yeong. Su-yeong comes back home in the morning. Kang-su tells Su-yeong that mother has been worried a lot. Su-yeong says cruel things to mother, and Na-young stops him. Su-yeong apologizes and runs out.
Ga-young and Na-young leave for work together. Sin-ryul tells Ga-young that he was worried she wouldn’t come in because she didn’t want to work with him. Although it is hard holding the properties for the shooting, Na-young is happy to work. Yoo-na is all smiles for Jun-ho and says that she will try but he just walks away brusquely. Mother gathers Mi-ae’s clothes and thinks of her. Na-young receives her pay and is disappointed at the amount. Ga-young and mother tell Na-young that there is no work that is worthless and consoles her to work hard. Sin-ryul sends Ga-young a dress to wear at the dinner with the sponsors. Dan-ok and Jun-mi see Ga-young and Sin-ryul dining together. Mi-ae comes to Su-yeong’s convenient store and Su-yeong leaves with Mi-ae with the money from the convenient store.
ep. 10
Na-young buys shoes and Da-young rebukes her for buying another pair when she has been scolded so much already. Da-young receives a phone call looking for Su-yeong and tells Na-young that he ran away with the money from the convenient store. Na-young and Da-young meet the owner of the convenient store. The owner says that he will report Su-yeong if he doesn’t apologize and pay back everything.
Jun-mi tells Jun-ho that Ga-young is seeing Sin-ryul. She also tells him that there is a rumor that Sin-ryul is a player. Mother thinks that it is weird because nobody is home. Then, she is surprised to see the price tag on Na-young’s new shoes.
Na-young and Da-young meet Ok-shim and Ga-young on their way home and Ga-young hears about Su-yeong. Na-young see the dress that Ga-young wore for the dinner in the car and asks if it is from that guy. When they get back home, mother is cutting Na-young’s shoes and Na-young freaks out. Na-young tells mother who is angry that Ga-young is seeing a married man. Ga-young tells mother who is surprised that he is not married. Na-young also tells mother that Su-yeong ran away with the money from the convenient store.
Su-yeong and Mi-ae spend time for the two of them at the beach. Mother and Na-young go to the owner of the convenient store and ask for forgiveness. Jun-ho takes a walk by himself and is absorbed in memories with Ga-young. Jun-ho goes to Ga-young and tells her that he broke up with Yoo-na.
ep. 11
Ga-young tells Jun-ho that she is seeing someone. Jun-ho says that Ga-young cannot date Sin-ryul because he is a player. Ga-young tells Jun-ho to mind his own business and not to worry about who she sees. Na-young tells Ga-young to hold on to Sin-ryul. Although Ga-young is hesitant she is slowly having feelings towards Sin-ryul. Kang-su and Da-young see Jun-ho drunk and sitting on the street on their way home. They bring him to Kang-su’s room.
Su-yeong and Mi-ae spend time at an internet cafe. Su-yeong almost reads the e-mail sent from his family, but he doesn’t. Ga-young goes to the bathroom at night and screams seeing Jun-ho sleeping. Kang-su and mother wake up by that noise. When mother comes by asking what is wrong, Ga-young locks the bathroom door and says there is nothing wrong. Kang-su tells mother that it is probably because of a rat and pushes her back into her room. Mother sees Kang-su and Ga-young take Jun-ho to the room but pretends she didn’t see anything.
The next morning, mother makes dried Pollack soup for Jun-ho and give it to Kang-su. Ga-young takes Jun-ho home. Dan-ok and Jun-mi see that. When Ga-young gets to work, she sees a wild flower and a scarf from Sin-ryul and is happy. Ga-young tells Sin-ryul that she would like to buy him dinner. As Na-young approaches Sin-ryul to say hi, she sees him laughing with Ga-young.
ep. 12
Jun-ho has a stomachache. Jun-mi sees Jun-ho in pain and calls Dan-ok and Tae-geun. The next day, Jun-ho is asleep back from the hospital. Dan-ok asks Jun-mi to take her to Ga-young’s house. Jun-mi and Dan-ok enter Ga-young’s house when the family is having breakfast. Dan-ok asks Ga-young if they can talk.
Dan-ok asks Ga-young if it is true that she is seeing someone and that Jun-ho was sent to the emergency room. Mother hears that and asks Dan-ok what is Jun-ho going to the emergency room have to do with Ga-young. Mother and Dan-ok’s voices become louder and Ga-young and Jun-mi try to stop them. Dan-ok finds out that Jun-ho was drunk and slept over at Ga-young’s house.
Ga-young goes to work in a depressed mood. Na-young stops by Kang-su’s room to ask how she looks on her way to a blind date. Kang-su tells her that he is having hard times because he likes her. Na-young emphasizes once again that he should not like her. Sin-ryul asks Ga-young who is lying on her face, to come with him for a meal. Ga-young and Sin-ryul go outside to make noodles and have a drink. On the way into the forest, Ga-young sprains her ankle. Sin-ryul tells Ga-young that he wants to make her laugh.
ep. 13
Ga-young visits Su-yeong and Mi-ae’s house but she doesn’t see them. After looking around for a while, she sees their feet hiding. Ga-young pretends she didn’t see them and tells them not to go anywhere but to return home. Jun-ho stops by mother’s store and apologizes for Dan-ok. Jun-ho tells mother that Sin-ryul is a player and that Ga-young is going to go to a business trip with him for two weeks.
Ga-young tell Na-young and Da-young that Su-yeong and Mi-ae are doing well. Tae-geun finds out about the Japanese he met at Je-ju island and books a flight to Japan. Jun-ho meets Ga-young and gives her Sin-ryul’s list of women he got from Jun-mi. Ga-young tears the paper apart asking him why he is disappointing her so much.
Sin-ryul who has worked over night goes to have breakfast with Ga-young who comes in for work. Sin-ryul asks Ga-young what she thinks of getting engaged around the week after next week. To Ga-young who is surprised, he tells her that it is alright to get married if she does not want to be engaged. There is a rumor around Ga-young’s company that Sin-ryul is going to taking over the company. Ga-young is surprised to hear that. Jun-ho come to Sin-ryul who is working and tells him to stay away from Ga-young because he has found out everything about what kind of a person Sin-ryul is. Ga-young comes in at that moment and takes Jun-ho out.
Ga-young asks Sin-ryul if the business trip to Europe is with him and tells him that she would refuse to go if so. Sin-ryul tears Ga-young’s ticket with an unpleasant face.
ep. 14
As Ga-young walks into the office building, it is noisy having one of the executive members of the company dragged out by a guard. Ga-young is surprised to hear that Sin-ryul has become Ga-young’s company’s president. Na-young and Kang-su gather some stuff and visit Su-yeong and Mi-ae.
Jun-ho’s grandmother comes to Jun-ho’s house and the Japanese calls. Dan-ok is perplexed. Dan-ok calls back the number and meets with the Japanese secretly. Coming back from Japan, Tae-geun hears that Dan-ok left home in a hurry. Tae-geun checks the number and goes to the hotel. He is shocked to see Dan-ok meeting the Japanese. Jun-ho goes to a blind date having no choice and comes back home distressed and absent-minded. Jun-ho asks Tae-geun to send him somewhere to study abroad. He says he could go anywhere where Ga-young is not present. Tae-geun calls Ga-young and asks for time for tea. The two of them talk. Tae-geun tells her that he is having hard times. Ga-young asks Jun-ho if there is anything wrong at home.
ep. 15
Sin-ryul tells mother that he wants to treat her for a meal but she takes him home. Mother and Sin-ryul come home when Da-young is solving problems over the phone with Jun-ho. Sin-ryul apologizes to mother for an abrupt visit and tells her that he wants to meet Ga-young on the premise that they get married. Overhearing the conversation, Da-young calls Jun-ho and lets him know what is going on. Sin-ryul runs into Na-young as he leaves the house and they say hi.
Tae-geun meets the Japanese on his way home from work and tells him that he wants to know the truth. To Tae-geun asking what is going on with him and Dan-ok, the Japanese tells him that if he is thinking of separating with Dan-ok, to send her to him. Tae-geun is surprised and disgusted to hear the Japanese say that he loves Dan-ok. Mother asks Ga-young what she is going to do with Sin-ryul. Ga-young answers that she does not hate him and that if she accepts she would want to meet with him. Jun-ho gives presents to Da-young wishing her good luck for the exam and asks what else Sin-ryul said. Da-young comes home and tells Ga-young to go and see Jun-ho who is waiting outside. Jun-ho asks Ga-young if she loves Sin-ryul. She says that she will love him from now on.
Mother visits Su-yeong and Mi-ae with Kang-su. Mother decides to get Su-yeong and Mi-ae engaged. The two of them take their engagement picture at the photographer in the town. Mother introduces Su-yeong and Mi-ae at the occasion where the town people gathered. Sin-ryul gives Ga-young a necklace as a present and asks her to be his girlfriend.
ep. 16
Sin-ryul tells Ga-young that he thought of wanting to become part of her family after he visited her house. He answers a call in the middle of the conversation and his face is distorted. Ga-young is uneasy and tells him they should go. Sin-ryul goes to the parking lot for the car and Chief Kim who was fired from work approaches Sin-ryul flourishing a knife at him. In the middle of the fight, Sin-ryul is cut by a knife and Ga-young runs in hearing him scream. Ga-young cures his wound. Ga-young tells him that he should report it to the police but he says it is all right.
Mother and Kang-su take Su-yeong to the market and teach him work. Su-yeong does not like having his cloth stained with dirty things. Ga-young’s team writes a group letter of resignation to Sin-ryul, but he tears the letter asking them to trust in him and follow him. Ga-young is upset at the fact that she was the only one who didn’t know. She is surprised to hear that Chief Kim took poison last night. Ga-young hands Sin-ryul a letter of resignation saying that she does not want to work under a manager who does not have humanistic concerns.
Jun-ho’s superior from work tells Jun-ho to keep visiting Ga-young’s house if he wants her back. Ga-young tells mother that she quit work because she was uncomfortable. Mother tells her to hurry the marriage but Ga-young tells her that she is worried because what Sin-ryul shows her versus the other staff at work is so different. Sin-ryul brings wine and cheese and dines with Ga-young’s family. Jun-ho gets a call from Da-young and comes over with pears and ethnic alcohol. Everybody is surprised to see Jun-ho. Jun-ho pretends to keep a straight face and asks if he could join the table.
ep. 17
Dan-ok tries to be nice to Tae-geun however, he doesn’t even listen. Dan-ok worries why Tae-geun is acting like that. At that time, the Japanese calls. Dan-ok is startled by the call. She tells him to not to call her again and hangs up. Tae-geun, who was listening on her, walks out of the house and finds the bouquet of hydrangeas and a box with a ring.
Jun-ho asks his mother to drink and Sin-ryul is there just smiling quietly. Ga-young tells Jun-ho to leave since he is drunk however, Jun-ho doesn’t leave saying that he is not drunk. Sin-ryul gets up saying he has somewhere to go and Ga-young gets up as well to go with him. Then, Jun-ho also gets up. Mother holds Jun-ho back and tells him to give up Ga-young.
Dan-ok is absorbed in the thought looking at the vase with hydrangeas that Jun-mi brought in. Tae-geun looks at her and tells her that she can leave if she misses him. Dan-ok shivers in shock and Tae-geun says that he would pretend like nothing happened and tells her to just live. Dan-ok falls over not being able to say a word, hearing Tae-geun tell her to live on just like she has been until now, deceiving him. Mi-ae tells mother that she lived in the same neighborhood as Sin-ryul back in the states. Mi-ae also tells her that he used to often be with this lady. Mother tells Mi-ae not to act like she knows anything. Ga-young is happy to hear from her team members that Sin-ryul went to director Kim to give him the retirement pay. The accordion player comes to mother’s store to play, and mother and Ok-shim are happy.
ep. 18
Ga-young looks at the old man and asks Sin-ryul who he is. Sin-ryul tells her that the old man is his father. Sin-ryul introduces Ga-young to the old man who is lying down without saying any words. Na-young meets someone that president Hwang tells her to meet. However, Na-young is very surprised to see how old he is.
Sin-ryul asks Ga-young if she still loves Jun-ho. Ga-young does not answer him. Then, Sin-ryul asks if she likes him. He asks if she has started to love him a little. Ga-young still does not say anything. Sin-ryul tells her to please accept him now. Ga-young comes home and tells mother that she is going to marry Sin-ryul.
Da-young takes the entrance exam for college. She has dinner with Ga-young and Jun-ho after the exam. Ga-young tells Jun-ho that she is going to get engaged to Sin-ryul and she asks him to congratulate her. Jun-ho says congratulations then leaves. Ga-young’s family goes to Sin-ryul’s house to eat and takes a look around different places. Ga-young and Sin-ryul take a photo at a studio.
Ga-young and Sin-ryul meet Jun-ho on their way home. Jun-ho kneels down in front of Sin-ryul and asks him to please send Ga-young back. Sin-ryul sends Ga-young home first, then tells Jun-ho to hit him instead and that he would get hit until Jun-ho wants. Jun-ho says that he cannot live without Ga-young and screams out to give her back.

Yoo-jin comes to see Sin-ryul at his office. Although Sin-ryul is happy to see her, he is surprised at the unexpected visit. Sin-ryul offers Yoo-jin that he will take her to a hotel however, Yoo-jin says that she wants to go to his house. Sin-ryul takes Yoo-jin home and puts her belongings in order familiarly. Ga-young stops by Jun-ho’s house because she is worried about him. Dan-ok shouts to Ga-young saying how she could be getting engaged to a different man.
Ga-young goes to Sin-ryul’s house to ask him a favor to help Jun-ho. Ga-young sees Yoo-jin come out dressed in Sin-ryul’s clothes and feels weird. Ga-young is struck dumb when she hears Yoo-jin say that she slept there. Ga-young sees Sin-ryul at the office but she is distant to him. Ga-young is worried about Jun-ho who disappeared. However, Sin-ryul tells Ga-young that they should stop talking about Jun-ho. Then, Ga-young talks about Yoo-jin. Sin-ryul tells her that he would introduce Yoo-jin later. Ga-young gets upset asking why he did not tell her about Yoo-jin.
Sin-ryul introduces Yoo-jin to Ga-young and the supervisor. To Yoo-jin, Sin-ryul introduces Ga-young as someone that he is going to get engaged to. Yoo-jin is consternated and apologizes for acting rudely in the morning. At that moment, Jun-ho’s coworker calls Ga-young and she rushes out. Sin-ryul follows her and holds her asking if Jun-ho is that important. However, Ga-young leaves almost pleading that she would come back after she hears Jun-ho’s side of the story.
Ga-young looks at the memo which has the place of where Jun-ho made the call traced. While looking at the memo, she remembers that it is the place that they went to explore back in college and she heads there.

Ga-young asks Jun-ho to go back with her but he says he cannot go back with such appearance. Sin-ryul waits for Ga-young at her house and has dinner. Sin-ryul eats the food well and mother is happy to see that. Mother brings up the issue about the lady that Sin-ryul used to be with back in the states. Sin-ryul answers her with a smile and says that he is completely over with her.
Ga-young apologizes about what happened yesterday to Sin-ryul at the office and Sin-ryul tells Ga-young that she would never see Yoo-jin again at his house. The two of them finally face each other and smile. Jang-bok who met with Na-young comes to Na-young’s house and Na-young has dinner with him although she is not in the mood for it. Mother, Kang-su, and Mi-ae bring Kimchi and Chunggukjang soup to Sin-ryul’s house. They meet Yoo-jin who is sleeping there. Mother is confused about the situation. Mi-ae tells mother that Yoo-jin is the lady that she saw with Sin-ryul back in the states. Mother tells Kang-su and Mi-ae not to say anything about what happened.
Na-young is so happy to be asked to be a model. She tells Kang-su who calls her, to come over to the studio. Kang-su looks at Na-young taking pictures.
Jun-ho comes back home and says that he will forget Ga-young.

Jang-bok comes to mother’s store to buy fish. Ok-shim says that Jang-bok is handsome, looking like an actor. Na-young gives Mi-ae some clothes and asks her to take them to the Laundromat, but Mi-ae refuses. Na-young tries to hit Mi-ae but she fights back. Mother and Su-yeong enter in the middle of their fight. They both pretend as if nothing happened and say hi to them.
Ga-young drinks by herself. Sin-ryul, who was waiting for Ga-young in front of her house, helps her. Na-young and Su-yeong bring Ga-young in. Ga-young talks out loud saying things like she is someone who is blinded by success. Mother looks out quietly and listens to what Ga-young says. The next day, Ga-young hears from Na-young what she did yesterday.
Jun-ho comes back to work after so many days and is scolded by his supervisor. Jun-ho apologizes and promises that he will be a different person. Sin-ryul tells Ga-young about his relationship with Yoo-jin. Ga-young goes to have lunch with mother. Mother tells Ga-young not to get engaged if she is not willing to. Ga-young tells her that the misunderstanding is removed and that she would take care of it.
Ok-shim goes to meet Jang-bok instead of Na-young. The next morning, Jang-bok is surprised to wake up at Ok-shim’s room. Dan-ok is surprised to find out that the man Jun-mi is seeing lives in Ga-young’s neighborhood. Yoo-jin visits Ga-young and tells her that she loves Sin-ryul. Ga-young loses her words.

Mother is surprised to hear Sin-ryul say that he is not going to get engaged. The people that gathered at the engagement ceremony make a noise when Sin-ryul announces that the engagement has been postponed due to a personal reason. Ga-young is lying in the bed under the bedclothes. Na-young asks Ga-young if she is happy now. Ga-young tells Na-young that she still has lingering affection for Jun-ho and gets upset for no reason. Mother tells Ga-young that there is no reason to get depressed and tells her to take her time to think everything over.
Mrs. Park’s son, the man that Jun-mi is seeing, comes to Jun-mi’s house. Jun-ho greets him and then heads to the mountain. Jang-bok who is in Ok-shim’s room, asks Ok-shim to be responsible of him and Ok-shim freaks out. At that moment mother comes to visit Ok-shim and Ok-shim hides Jang-bok in the bedclothes. Mother senses that there is something weird in the bedclothes however she just leaves. Jun-ho sweats like a pig and climbs the mountain.
Ga-young asks Sin-ryul if he is upset and apologizes. Sin-ryul tells her that he could wait forever. Na-young dresses up and meets the people at the agency and listens carefully to the explanation of how they want to grow first-class actresses. Dan-ok goes to a hotel to meet Jun-mi’s boyfriend’s parents and there she meets Mrs. Park in the ladies room. Mrs. Park asks Dan-ok if she remembers her and asks if she is Dama. Dan-ok is happy to see her, however, she is perplexed as well. Dan-ok is shocked to find out that Mrs. Park is Jun-mi’s boyfriend’s mother.

Na-young hears from the fortuneteller that she will be very successful for the next ten years if she keeps her mouth shut. The fortuneteller also tells her that she would be successful as a model. Na-young is happy to hear that and thanks the fortuneteller. Da-young asks Ga-young if she still loves Jun-ho and Ga-young answers yes. Da-young tells Ga-young to go back to Jun-ho but Ga-young tells Da-young that things have become complicated and that it is not easy for her to do so.
After the meeting of Jun-mi and her boyfriend’s parents, Dan-ok and Mrs. Park’s facial expressions are not that good. Jun-ho is sleeping at home and Dan-ok touches his hair and says that there are so many mistakes she made. The next day, Jun-ho leaves early for work with a brightened face. Na-young is told that there needs to be a scene of her driving a truck for the advertisement which is to be put up on the local theaters. So she asks Kang-su to teach her how to drive.
Dan-ok meets Mrs. Park and thanks her for pretending not to know her. Mrs. Park says that the wedding is going to be difficult. Dan-ok pleads to Mrs. Park that she would do her best if Mrs. Park could let everything go just this once. Jun-ho meets a woman who he had met before. He sees Ga-young hiding on the way. Jun-ho asks the woman if she could lock her arms with him. Ga-young sees that, turns around, and leaves. Mrs. Park comes to see mother and tells her that Dan-ok used to work at the saloon for Japanese customers and says that she wants to cancel her son’s wedding. Mother tells her that everything is the story of the past and that Jun-mi did not do anything wrong. Mrs. Park is in agony.

Na-young returns home happy, bringing the clothes the people from the agency bought her. Mother gives Su-yeong money as the end-of-the-year bonus, however, Su-yeong refuses to take the money since he knows that she is working hard. Na-young shows Kang-su the money she got as a deposit and tells him that she signed a contract with the agency. Na-young tells Ga-young and Da-young that she borrowed the clothes for the shooting and does not tell the truth.
Jun-ho finds out through Ga-young’s supervisor that Ga-young did not get engaged. Jun-ho sees Sin-ryul as he is coming in and tells Sin-ryul that Ga-young is a nice woman and that he should make her happy. As Ga-young is getting ready to go to work, she hears Mrs. Park and mother talking by chance. Ga-young is surprised to hear about Dan-ok’s past and asks mother what is going on.
Mrs. Park’s son meets Jun-mi and tells her that they should break up. Jun-mi says she wants to know the reason. Jun-mi returns home feebly. Dan-ok apologizes to Jun-mi. Jun-mi cries out asking if Dan-ok really was that kind of a person. Tae-geun gets mad at Dan-ok as well. Jun-ho’s grandmother finds out the truth through this disturbance and faints.
It is Christmas. Sin-ryul comes back from a business trip and goes to Ga-young’s house. Sin-ryul buys mother clothes and the two of them have sausage with hard liquor. Ga-young works late and sends a text message to Jun-ho saying merry Christmas. Na-young goes to a club with her sisters, Kang-su, and Su-yeong. She is surprised to see Jun-mi dancing like crazy.

Seeing affectionate couples, Ga-young remembers last year’s Christmas she spent with Jun-ho. Jun-ho also remembers it looking at the light of a small tree. Jun-mi, who was dancing, suddenly faints. Kang-su and Su-yeong helps her up. Da-young, Su-yeong, and Mi-ae takes Jun-mi home.
Sin-ryul gives presents to Ga-young’s family and he gives a ring to Ga-young. However, Ga-young does not wear the ring saying that she would wear it next time. Ga-young tells him she still has the trace of another ring and that she cannot wear this ring with the trace of another ring. Sin-ryul tells her he would make sure to erase that trace. Ga-young covers her face and asks him why he came back so late.
Tae-geun is distant to Dan-ok and tells her not to come to visit his mother at the hospital. To Dan-ok who tells Jun-ho about the past, Jun-ho says that he is not ashamed at all and holds her hands. Na-young tells the photographer that she has signed a contract with an agency and that she would not be able to come to work any more.
Na-young goes to a bar with the director of the agency. The director tells her to greet some people and pour the drink. Na-young is struck dumb and walks out. The next day, Na-young looks at the clothes she has to wear for the shooting and says that she cannot wear such clothes. The director tells her that she has to pay three times the deposit if she wants to breach the contract.
