Matsui runs a benriya (odd jobs for hire) in a small nameless Hokkaido village. Umemoto has divorced 3 times. Screenwriter Takeyama (Masaki Okada) wants to go to Furano, but the bus to Furano becomes stranded due to a snowstorm. Takeyama stops at a bar to eat something, but at the bar he loses his wallet and cellphone. Takeyama is now obliged to stay in the small and nameless village.

Matsui, Umemoto and Takeyama are now all at Matsui’s Benriya.

Notes

orange Jul 13 2023 7:13 pm thought this to be a weird and boring show, but it hooked me up real quick and maybe i do have things with weird show with its weird characters sjsj love the comedies and jokes and weird behaviors of the characters, yet the heartwarming stories that were subtly put in it are a great touch as well!

bluelysia Jun 09 2016 10:36 am I love how Jun's character is super imaginative XD and when they set record for snowmen, I didn't know that it was REAL guinness record! wow! as always, Okada Masaki is doing a good job with the comedic expression.. he is handsome but suits role that a little bit klutz LOL.. Anyway, this drama is good and surprisingly, there IS a meaty and heartwarming story in the drama even tho it seems all of its hours filled with ridiculousness and silliness

Lighter Girl Aug 22 2015 11:39 am Tbh at first I thought this drama would be weird, plain and boring. Nevertheless, I tried to watch the 1st ep to kill time and I was hooked. It is indeed weird but funny in its own way. Love it. Such a great drama!
