Dr. Cheon (Gang Dong-Won) runs a YouTube exorcism channel with In-Bae (Lee Dong-Hwi). Believing that he is dealing with people's minds rather than ghosts, he performs fake exorcisms on people. One day, he meets a new client named Yoo-Kyung (Esom). Yoo-Kyung asks Dr. Cheon Cheon to save her possessed younger sibling.

Based on webcomic "Bingui” written by Huretsha & illustrated by Kim Hong-Tae (published August 12, 2014 - December 30, 2014 via Naver).
Filming began on September 14, 2022.
Early working title was "Bingui" ("Possession").

wayer Mar 26 2025 7:09 pm just got back from uprising, hence cannot help myself to leave a comment here: Watch It. the movie is fun, funny, and adventurous. i watched it without any expectation, but end up invested in Dr Cheon's journey to help his client. and I Love Park Jeongmin's cameo in this movie.. a prelude to his newtopia collab with Jisoo haha

Anita Mullins Brown Sep 10 2024 2:25 pm I'm a big fan of Gang DongWon, but not all his work. My faith forbids the dark arts/supernatural, but this was an exception. It had a reverence for traditional Korean and Buddhist elements and especially a reverence for good over evil. This was the best role I've seen with all the cast, especially GDW. I love Dr. Cheon's character as well as the other characters. Gang Dong Won was fantastic and I would love him to have more seasons like Dr. Dee or Along with the Gods, etc. This is a character he seems born to play. I hope they have a sequel. Also loved Esom and missed her in Taxi 2.

San Jan 17 2024 3:57 pm Watched without knowing the film's synopsis. However, upon realizing that the character named Cheon with his doctorate and the concept of the empty bell but ringing when ghosts are present reminded me of an old webtoon I was read. Checking AsianWiki, confirmed that the film indeed references the webtoon. While I enjoyed the story and visual action. But, I wonder why they created a new plot instead of following the original webtoon's storyline. It's a common issue in Korean dramas/films adapting from webcomics they often change the storyline, unlike Japanese adaptations, which usually stick to the original script.

Those who have seen "Parasite" and "Decision to Leave" may find unexpected delight from scene-stealing cameos.
