An Jun-Ho (Jung Hae-In) and Han Ho-Yeol (Koo Kyo-Hwan) attempt to recover from the traumatic events surrounding the capture of Private Cho Suk-Bong (Cho Hyun-Chul) in their own ways. They continue their service in the D.P. team that attempts to capture military deserters. Meanwhile, Sergeant Park Beom-Gu (Kim Sung-Kyun) feels pressure from higher ups to cover up recent events. A mass shooting takes place in a military barrack after a soldier was mercilessly bullied.

Kdrama Llama Mar 17 2025 3:00 am Wow, impactful, harrowing and another stellar performance from Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan, though I want to give an honourable mention to Sun Sok Ku for the journey Ji Seob has been on, going from first class jerk to captain principles!

Series two is darker and like others, I thought episode three - Nina’s story - was devastating. I hope it the show the desired effect and provokes reflection, debate and, one day, change.

Sans Sep 05 2023 5:32 pm Answer to questions Maria : I thought the glasses that were shown belonged to Cho-Sukbong, all this time we thought that he was dead, however, he is still alive (it was shown in the epilogue of the last episode of this season) maybe there are still many cases that will be investigated more cause Ahn-Junho still has up to 1 year until demobilized and the case of the unfinished Kim-Ruri shooting may be continued in the next season

I thoroughly enjoyed D.P. I hope it results in improvements in South Korea's military. The web author was apparently basing some of his story on his own experiences in the military. A military should be made up of brothers in arms, not enemies in arms! Kudos to the whole production team!

but the hell with rating! what an outstanding ensemble cast! every actors is unique and unforgettable. how many Korean movies/ series that are BRAVE enough to deliver sensitive cases like bullying and abuse especially in a very patriarchal and misogynistic military environment?

noi Jul 31 2023 1:45 am great but not as iconic as season 1, maybe because season 1 hit close with the reality (plus, hwang jang soo character as bully really made me scared) while season 2 is much more complex. for me, ep 3 with bae nara is the best ep in this season. i don't think i'd anticipate season 3 (since han ho yeol would already be discharged), but if there's a continuation, i hope it's not set in military, but in life after they discharged and struggled with their life. and i can't wait to see the actors branch to other projects. thank you for the amazing dramas!

Deliciously produced, directed, shot and acted by one of the best casts currently seen on tv.

Sherry Jul 30 2023 4:27 pm I was waiting for season 2 as soon as season 1 ended so it was no surprise to me that I binged these six episodes in two days (and would have finished it in one if I didn't have other things I had to do).

This show was phenomenal and the actors are all absolutely incredible. I also really appreciate the way the writers throw some humor in from time to time, because otherwise it might have all been too heavy to bear.

I would love a season 3 but I think they wrapped it up well enough that if there isn't another season it will be okay.

All casts were extremely good. I learned a lot from this drama. The portrayal of the deserters made me weep, especially Nina…

This is the kind of drama worth binge-watching. They’re not gonna waste our precious time. 10/10 Highly Recommended. Salute!

And especially in the last scene when he cracks that smile and you feel that yes what he believes and does was right in his difficult life in the army. However, the rest of the actors were also very good. Top series well done to all contributors

Rae Jul 29 2023 2:44 pm As much as it continues to explore a subject core to a nation, DP2, more than DP1, is also an actors' drama. Each original character has evolved and grown from dp1, depicting new emotions in new ways. All the actors were top notch. DP 2 is slower and more deliberate too, as though allowing the audience time to think, and understand that the problems are not easily solved through sleight of hand. An Junho and his friends go to extraordinary lengths to make the military accountable, often pausing and hesitating, to achieve just a modicum of success. Unlike typical movies that wrap everything with a bow in the end. Jung Hae In showed us how a man can be ordinary and remarkable at the same time. A consummate actor whose confidence in the scenes that call for him to be beaten up, is amazing. Episode 3 about Nina is my favorite, and Haein's smile in the last scene is priceless. I hope rhe show inspires more self reflection in the Military.

A Jul 29 2023 2:33 pm Genius writing, genius directing, genius acting! I love the parallels between the 2 seasons, and at the same time I also love how s2 isn't simply a rehash of s1. It has the same vision and spirit but s2 is bigger, deeper and darker in scope. Jung Haein...my God. His eye acting is excellent. He was fantastic in the train scene...like a wild animal fighting for his life. Even his Adam's apple acts! The rest of the cast is great too, from the originals (Kim Sungkyun is so underrated, IMO) to the new ones. Highly recommended! 1000/10

Sooji Jul 29 2023 9:27 am Just like watching k-movie but divide into 6 part. Very entertaining. DP 1 was so dark and gloomy, but DP 2 make it more fun. Kudos to duo Ho Yeol & Jun Ho. Jung Hae In really deserve Baeksang. And Son Suk Ku my God he's hot AF.

Also, I can smell a New Actor Award for Jang Sung Min ( Bae Na Ra). He is so good, i got goosebumps watching him act. Fighting and hope to see you more in dramas.:)

I hope to see Ji Jin Hee and Son Suk Ku in a frame. May my wish cme true.. I just finish rewatch Designated Survivor again few days ago. Really want both of them in a frame.
