Ayaka (Sayaka Akimoto) is a nurse. On her 23rd birthday, she falls from the 4th floor of her room. She survives, but is now paralyzed from the waist down. While in the hospital, she has a difficult time with her condition. She complains to her mother and the hospital staff constantly. Ayaka improves though by communicating with other people in wheelchairs and by exchanging letters with her grandmother. She learns how to live her life positively from Shota (Naoto). He is a rock musician and also in a wheelchair.l.
