Madoka Kanome is a middle school student. Her days are generally calm, with a warm family and good friends like Sayaka Miki. Meanwhile, Homura Akemi is a new transfer student that attends the same class with Madoka Kanome. Madoka realizes that in a weird dream, she saw a girl who looks just like Homura. Madoka is also confused by something Homura tells her. One day, Madoka see Homura attack an odd looking creature. When she tries to stop Homura, Madoka finds herself in a strange place and is surrounded by scary creatures. A girl then introduces herself to her as Mami Tomoe.
