in 2007, Tatsuya Ichihashi became one of the most sought after fugitives after killing British born English teacher Lindsay Ann Hawker. Prior to her death Lindsay Ann Hawker worked as an English teacher in Chiba, Japan. For more than two years Tatsuya Ichihashi then alluded authorities while undergoing extensive plastic surgery.

Notes

Based on the autobiographical novel "Taihou Sareru Made" by Tatsuya Ichihashi (January, 2011), who was convicted for the 2007 murder of Lindsay Ann Hawker.

Rin Apr 03 2022 7:43 am I dont like that they monetized the journal of a murderer, specifically tatsuya. I love and respect dean fujioka and im a huge fan, but i think, him, accepting this role in this movie was wrong and just blatantly disrespectful. The movie is obviously twisting the real murder case of the victim, Lindsay Hawker. Stop displaying pity for tatsuya.

kira Apr 03 2022 7:32 am I love Dean Fujioka as an actor, but trying to depict an unrepentant killer in a movie as some sort of victim isn't humanising. If anything it's just blatant disrespectful and tasteless.

The world should remember the victim, Lindsay Hawker. Not her cold-blooded murderer.

Chris Jul 25 2016 7:35 am Had I not followed this case concerning the brutal slaying of Ms Hawker then I would have been at a loss! The victim in the film seemed to be Ichihashi dealing with paranoia rather than the true victim, the female English teache r that was strangled by Ichihashi.

Ichihashi evaded capture for years whilst trying his upmost to avoid being caught.

Was he insane as the film made out?

Who knows, but the lenient and inconclusive treatment that Ichihashi receives in the film made me feel physically sick!!!!!

I can't even begin to think of rating this film.....
