To Ralph Conroy Jun 20 2021 10:03 pm When Shogun was first screened on tv in the UK, I just adored the role you portrayed as Fujiko-it was a strong yet, subtle role played out with elegance. Thank you, always Ralph Conroy Vincent Johnston Mar 14 2021 3:05 am Ms Senno, I fell in love with this woman when I saw her in Shogun. I found Fukiko much more beautiful then Mariko... Even today, 2021, She is a majestic looking woman. I wish I could meet her just one time. jim freeman Aug 15 2020 1:33 am Ms. Senno, AKA: "Fukiko- san" was MY personal favorite actor of Shogun. I have always thought that her part in the mini-series should have been much larger. "Fujiko" was Utterly Lovely her character outshone Mariko in feminine beauty.. Sincerely, Jim Mike Oct 31 2019 6:12 pm I agree that Senna Hiromi is a pretty lady but I have to admire what Shimada-san had to learn to make her part truly memorable. Beyond that Shimada-san is a personal friend and a wonderful lady today. Jo Oct 11 2019 5:46 pm It is a matter of taste. Hiromi is indeed a beautiful lady, and I loved her play in Shogun. But in my opinion, Yoko Shimada was stunning, and unbelievably beautiful. But as I said, it's a matter of taste. They were both awesome in Shogun. Roberto-san Aug 26 2019 1:19 pm I have to agree with the earlier posters; I liked Fujiko-san way back when Shogun first came out and I still like her today. You cannot imagine how much I laughed when a poster said that his idealized woman is in 16th century Japan. Hit it right on the head there. I also strongly agree (and agreed back then) that Blackthorn was chasing the wrong female. I would have left Mariko far behind if I had Fujiko as my consort. Pretty, feminine, loyal, dedicated, and (hinted) that she is good in bed. And oh how good those Kimonos look on her! To this day I often ask myself; "where can I find a girl like Fujiko?" Been to Japan, not many, if any at all, around anymore. :( Edward M Zaccari Apr 23 2019 10:43 am I'm trying to find out about this beautiful Japanese actress. Would you be so kind to give me much more information apart from what little you have written here...? If you can't provide any more information from what little you have written here, please inform me, where else can I find out more about this wonderful Japanese actress...?! bill elliott Sep 21 2017 10:55 pm Hiromi is very talented and very beautiful. She seems sweet with a kind heart. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. William J Mosley Mar 03 2016 11:04 am In my mind, Fujiko and Blackthorn got together and lived happily ever after. There were some big time sparks between the two, especially when they hugged. She was perfect. If Hiromi played Mariko and then she died? THAT would have broke my heart. Ramazan KURTCU Jan 26 2016 10:34 am I liked it very much Hiromi Senno role in Shogun series. If possible, I would like Hiromi Senno's e-mail address. Thank you. Ed Nov 29 2015 4:11 am Another Eddie total agrees. Perfection can not be beaten by another as the beauty of Fujiko-San is ultimate. Utsukushi-sa wa kami kara no okurimono to shite Hiromi Senno ni atae rarete imasu. The beauty is given to Hiromi Senno as a gift of God. A Dutch Pirate 29-11-2015, The Netherlands Eddie Jul 13 2015 9:55 am I agree with Andy below. I just caught Shogun again on Youtube this past weekend, some 35 years after seeing it the first time, and as Andy says, "the character of Fujiko-san is the [epitome] of feminine perfection in every way," Yup. I realize now my idealized woman is in 16th century Japan. Damn. Andy Apr 01 2015 4:44 am Watching Shogun I was always saying to myself, 'Blackthorne, you're chasing the wrong woman, Mariko San is lovely but Fujiko San is very special and would make you much happier' To me the character of Fujiko San is the epitomy of feminine perfection in every way, I thought it then and I still think it now. cyril Feb 12 2015 9:55 am saw her in Shogun, by far the most beautiful woman David Scott Sep 08 2014 1:02 pm I do not know who this Japanese actress is, only that she is very very beautiful. I would give anything just to be able to take her out for nice quiet dinner. She is a very attractive woman. monmirel Jul 06 2014 1:32 pm hiromi senno est une merveilleuse actrice en plus d etre une tres belle japonaise on ne peut que t aimé hiromi je suis francais de paris mais je reverais d etre ton blackthorn Luis Guillermo Jun 17 2014 10:34 pm Really beautiful actress! I saw Shogun in Costa Rica in the 80s, her performance was lovely! Recently I saw it again! and again a and again! Hui-Yong Shi May 16 2014 7:18 pm Amazing actress. Wish she would do more. Mych more Mike Benjamin Jul 28 2013 6:12 pm She was beautiful in Sho-Gun, and she is still beautiful now. Have always been entranced by her in the series. The character of Fujiko was a little different in the movie/series than in the book. In the book, Fujiko never really likes Blackthorn and in the end is given permission to commit suicide - Blackthorn ends up with Kiko and does not give her to Omi. Of course in the book Fujiko isn't cute little Hiromi Senno, she's rather unattractive. Honestly, I like the series ending better than the book. The book ends with no one happy - Fujiko kills herself, Blackthorn looses Mariko and was never interested in Kiko, Omi rides off unhappily accepting that he will never have the woman he loves, and Kiko is stuck with the big ugly barbarian - so Blackthorn is actually alone. In the series, at least Blackthorn ends up with the cutie, Kiko and Omi get each other, and Omi is now an ally for Blackthorn. Stephen Carter Apr 22 2013 1:11 pm Yes, I felt Fujiko's allure. The only scene that stayed with me were Fujiko's, when she came to greet him in the morning. It lingers so clearly in my mind from watching a few weeks ago, when she asked if he'd slept well ... yoku-nemu-rare-mashti-ka? - her voice & smile & manner & warm laugh. It casts a sadness ... Marty Apr 18 2013 8:19 pm I agree...Hiromi Senno stole my heart, too. I just finished re-watching SHOGUN for the first time in some years, and waited expectantly to be re-smitten by this beautiful, soulful young actress...and I was. I like Yoko Shimada very much, and think she was wonderful as Mariko. I couldn't help feeling, however, after Mariko's death, that fujiko-san would be the one loving friend, companion, wife, and lover who could support Blackthorne throughout his remaining life in Japan. Rod Green Apr 14 2013 1:41 am It has been 33 years since watching Shogun and the beautiful image of Fujiko (Hiromi Senno) is still very clear in my mind . Her lovely ,winsome way captured my young heart and it has stayed so ever since.Wherever she may be , what ever she may be doing I hope life has been good to her and that she has grown more beautiful over the years(Im sure).,She sparked my love for Asian women and paticularlyJapanese Women . One fine day I hope she may read this and reply to me . Domo Hiromi Domo. Kirk Forrest Mar 17 2013 4:42 pm Hiromi Senno stayed with me long after I watched Shogun for the first time in 1980. The beauty of Japanese women, her in particular, is unmatched. Brent Bourg Jan 22 2013 6:39 pm I thought as a kid when I saw shogun that she was the prettiest and best one on the show. Now i am 43 and I still say the same. she is better with age, and I hope she had a good life. My Complaments from Texas U.S.A. Thomas Riley Sep 25 2012 6:53 am Ever since I first watched Shogun as a pre-teen I had a huge crush on Funiko. Even now as I watch the series again I think she is beautiful. She was great in the roll and so much better looking than any other Japanese woman on the show. Dwight Clark Sep 23 2012 4:29 pm If I'd personally met her when she was In the making of the film Shogun, I'd personally would have married her myself, and had a house built, in the ja[anese fashion, w/all japanese memoribilia put in it, as well. Too bad, that as an actress, she personally, won't answer her emails/mails, but has someone doing it for her. If she decides to answer it, I'm on Facebook. . colin dunn Aug 28 2012 7:42 am shogun is a fantastic series and its like being in the series and film, my love for japanese culture has never left me, japanese women are the most beautiful women in the world, haromi senno should be given a oscar for her performance in shogun, peace colin Dave Kalyn Apr 15 2011 9:04 pm Her character Fujiku san is gorgeous. I prefer her to Mariko anyday. Even as a younger teen when I first watched it all those years ago I have had a thing for her. I describe her look, voice, and lips as simply velvet to people when I mention her. She is devine. A natural beauty in the film industry. My love for Japanese and other Asian women began with her. Lovely woman I'm sure. Her husband or whomever she has or have had in life are truly blessed. Stephen Johnson Sep 29 2010 5:46 am I have watched 'Shogun' several times, from its first airing on TV through the DVD release, which I just viewed again. In my opinion, of all the attractive women in the film, Hiromi Senno is the most beautiful. I particularly liked the scene where she threatened the samurai escort with Blackthorne's pistol...the little woman with the big gun was impressive. Gregorio Lecuna Dec 21 2009 5:40 pm I love her.... Joe Schaaf Sep 17 2009 2:22 pm I have watched Shogun many times. This is and probably always be my favorite movie. Of course my favorite character is Fujiko. She is the most lovely young lady I have ever seen. The movie is 29 years old and I have watched it at least 50 times or more. She is my favorite character and always will be. I would love to hear from her. It would make my day. Hiromi Senno is probably still gorgeous. Of that I am sure. Ahmet Turk Mar 05 2009 3:27 am Merhaba ben bir Türk'üm. Konniciva. Hello I am Turk.
