HoriPro was established in 1960 as a management company for singers and musicians. In February 1989, HoriPro became the first artist management company in Japan to offer public stock. This was followed by the company's listing in the 2nd section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 1997, and then in the 1st section of TSE.
