Notes

"Fribourg International Film Festival" began in 1980 as as a collection of seven films from Africa, Asia and Latin America. The success of the program lead to the "The Third World Film Festival".
In 1986 the film festival settles in Fribourg, Switzerland as its home base.
In 1992 the film festival became an annual film festival.
In 1998 the film festival officially becomes the "Fribourg International Film Festival".
