Plot
Eiji is a law student; Takkun is a singer in a fringe rock band, Taka-chan is a clerk. The film begins with a meeting between the three characters, nearly in their fourth decades, chatting under a cherry tree in full blossom. The past is clearly the dominant element of their lives; they reminisce about their days together in a rock band, trying to compensate for a not-particularly-promising present and a worryingly unknown future. A short time passes and we see two of them, dressed in black suits, on the way back from the funeral of their friend. This is the starting-point for a bout of alcoholic drinking in the big city. An other hour and an other glass, an other game of billiards, more small talk, but they are incapable of saying any meaningful thing about their feelings or their future…
