Apparently the first draft was written by the director's daughter when she was like 7-8 years old or so. Visually speaking it could have come out of the madcap mind of a child as well as the plot. I got to admit, I found the acting less than polished, the script full of problems and lot of other stuff. But visually I was actually quite impressed. I know it is really impossible to see this film with the eyes of a 1977 audience. I have re-watched shows from my youth and they almost universally are films that I'm embarrassed to have liked. Some, I'm downright ashamed of liking, they are that bad. But that doesn't detract from my having liked them at the time. Which is their purpose I suppose. Now I'm not trying to ridicule anyone's efforts on this film. But since I have no nostalgic remembering of this film, it falls into the 'it's so bad it is great!' category. I loved it. It was batshit crazy and hilarious. I recommend it. High Art, it is not. But I certainly do think it is art. Thailand Oct 30 2013 9:05 am Nice movie, but disappoint ending.
