Plot
The Aimless Bullet (Obaltan) is a Korean classic, which captured the social issues at its extremities in Korea of the late 1950s. Song Chul-ho (Jin Kyu Kim), a clerk at an accounting office in Seoul, attempts to support his mentally ill mother, his pregnant wife, his lonely sister, his two children, and Young-ho, his aimless younger brother. Chul-ho barely makes enough money to feed his family, and is forced live with his toothache, unable to fund to see a dentist. Chul-ho's grief is added when his younger sister has been caught by the police for prostitution. Chul-ho, the older brother takes on the good character role, while Young-ho, the younger brother, acts as the bad character. Young-ho, who is a veteran of the Korean War, is bitter about his life after the war struggling to find a job that suits him.
