Kang Tae-Ju (Namkoong Minn) is a neurosurgeon and the director of Woorihamgge Hospital. He is married to Ko Se-Yun (Lee Seol), who is the chairwoman of the hospital. One day, Kang Tae-Ju tells his wife that he wants a divorce, but Ko Se-Yun is kidnapped the next day. Kang Tae-Ju becomes both a fugitive, suspected of kidnapping his own wife, and pursuer to save his wife.

TBH, The Husband fares better now than Agent Kim Reactivated. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both actors but the latter seems to be written better than the latter albeit the latter shows us exciting action scenes.

Kdrama lover Jul 11 2026 6:26 pm The wife is unreasonable. The death of their daughter is not her husband's fault, treating him as though he caused her death. He was in the OR operating on someone. She should understand being in the hospital business that he cannot just abandon a patient mid operation. She blamed him, yet wouldn't grant him a divorce. What an annoying character. I have no sympathy for her and her parents. The writer thinks viewers are stupid.

I'll watch ep 4 and if the story doesn't improve, I'll drop it.

Namkoong Min never disappoints and I must say Kim Dae Myung is as versatile as versatility can be. Hmmmm...there are 2 new villains on the block, jim and Choo Sang Wook of Agent Kim Reactivated.

Yes, this may be similar with Gone Girl but my curiosity with the character of Park Byung Eun.

Can't wait for the next episodes!!!!

The first episode masterfully builds a suffocating atmosphere of domestic tension before delivering one of the most shocking cliffhangers I’ve seen in a long time. It is also a treat to see Kim Dae-myung on screen; his incredible range from his previous iconic roles to his performance here adds a brilliant, unsettling layer of intensity to the story. This show is dark, gripping, and deeply suspenseful—I am officially obsessed and cannot wait for the next episode!
