Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki Staff ©
Yuta Yoshii (Takashi Sorimachi), Hajime Fujimaki (Nao Omori) and Kisuke Kikuhara (Kenjiro Tsuda) are middle-aged men, with different personalities and tastes, who were friends in middle school. Back in 1988, they were in a movie club and absorbed in making kung-fu movies. Now, at the age of 51, they feel like their lives are stuck in a dead end. One day, news about human bones discovered at a construction site in Danbe breaks.
Kisuke Kikuhara feels uncomfortable when he hears the news, because Danbe is the town where he spent his middle school days with Yuta Yoshii and Hajime Fujimaki. He decides to contact Yuta Yoshii and Hajime Fujimaki and they meet again for the first time in 37 years. As they reminisce about old times, they realize their memories of their beloved advisor has become hazy. Furthermore, a piece of paper is found with a group photo of the movie club. The paper has the word "missing" written on it. The three men begin to look into the mysterious disappearance of their advisor.
