A fairy is hit by an arrow he shot himself. He falls in love with a woman.

Cheon Sang-Hyuk (Jang Dong-Yoon) is a charismatic fairy, who easily makes woman fall in love with him. 500 years ago, his wings were burned. To restore his wings, he went through 27 metamorphoses. On his 28th time, he gets involved with Oh Baek-Ryeon (Nana).

Oh Baek-Ryeon is a veterinarian and she works at an animal clinic. She is a pretty woman. She has had many men fall in love with her because of her attractiveness. Whenever these men got into a romantic relationship with her, they always had a near-death experience and would then runaway from her. Because of the bad luck, Oh Baek-Ryeon is not dating anyone, but she badly wants to meet a man of fate.

Kept me intrigued until the end but I think this drama really requires you to have an open mind with it’s mixed bag of genres.The chemistry between the leads is great, got me rooting for them but not the strongest. It’s a very ambitious drama which has proven to be a challenge for everyone involved. It gave me emotional whiplash from the constant changes in mood, one moment it’s all cheery and playful then the next, dark and ghory.. Imo they did a good job with the build up, on all aspects however the execution seem to fall flat, esp the reveal, that was actually quite disappointing. The last few ep made me feel a bit lost, quite a no of things just didn’t make sense, even for a fantasy drama. I wish the cupids were more involved in Sang Hyuk’s life, we literally only got one scene of all of them with Baek Ryeon. I feel especially sorry for Dong Pal. was his character made to only be a tool to convey the “secret”, sad. Also, why is no one talking about how creepy it is for a full grown man to be having any type of romance with a high schooler?? Sure sure the concept of age for cupids is somewhat non-existent but lets not normalise seeing an adult going on a date with a minor on screen please! Any interactions between Sang Hyuk and Jeong-ah just feels wrong!

memearurina Jan 08 2025 2:41 am it's a light romcom fantasy drama. The ml and fl has really good chemistry with compatible visuals. I think he world in My Man Is Cupid is only slightly better crafted than My Demon. Another thing it does better is amping up the stakes of the love between the two main leads. The supproting cast also great. The show really good at making the audience care about the main leads but also the supproting cast The murder story is quite unique because it mentions about 7 deadly sins, i think no kdrama has this theme before.

Overall I really like this drama. The ending is one of the happiest ending i've ever watched in kdramaland

Richard Jan 05 2025 1:19 am A very comfortable light romantic drama based on a supernatural theme in which the audience gets what it wants from these Korean shows. If you have seen Goblin ( a/k/a Guardian), it has that same “vibe” even though the plots are not alike (and yes, Goblin is better). If you have watched “My Demon”, this is much better. The leads and secondary actors are, as is usually the case, quite good. I particularly liked the actress who played the FL’s roommate, the one whose eyes smile. She was also part of the one unresolved plot line, which deserved better, I think. The murder mystery was okay, but the bad guy should have had more development than at the end to better engross the viewer. Nonetheless, highly recommended

I have never seen a more idiot protagonist than this girl, she is a witness where the murderer kills all of the other witnesses but this m*ron walks around alone at night, wanders off, tries to catch snowflakes like a 5 year old in the middle of the night next to the murderer... she is insufferable, no wonder she died many times on her previous lives, this stupid girl...she realizes who the murderer is but waits for 2 days to do the hypnosis and wanders around a little bit more, takes her precious time to tell it to the police, then sanghyuk yells her to leave the car multiple times but she has that empty dumb look on her face, she can come back as a bug and leave the man alone, he has been cursed with the stupidity of the girl for 500 years

no hate to the actors at all, I'm not criticizing the acting but the horrible protagonist and her choices

Past Life AGAIN Sep 12 2024 7:45 pm I like all of them at present times, I hate that it's Another past life thing. I skipped most of the past life though it's an integral part of the story But I really don't like it & it's predictable anyways so I just skipped almost all of the past and finished faster. I mean, I should've predicted past life since it's about cupid who's living for a long time, still tiring that it has so much past life scenes, but I really want to watch Nana.

He deserves better, but that is the role of a second male lead, right? I enjoyed the drama, but if I have to nitpick, I think the scene with Baek Ryeon's friends and the other fairy was very unnecessary. I almost skipped their scenes.

Had it been shorter May 20 2024 1:39 pm Had the episodes were limited to 12 or 13 at max, this would have been a beautiful drama with all flavours. Since they dragged to 16 eps - the writer made the police from dumb to dumber editing was cut n paste and lost plot's flow adding fillers made the actors look stupid Else this had the potential to be its own blockbuster. All the actors including side characters poured their soul into acting and it was a treat to watch.

Great actors badly used. I disagree with some of the comments below. Nana is a good actress. The character she plays here is ridiculous. Remember that the director has a lot to do with how a character is played, not the fault of the actor. Same with Dong Hyun. No chemistry?? Just because they are not drooling over each other? It was there, but way too many kissing scenes. Too many errors, such as the time on the bomb going down to 1 min. in her scene, but 6 min on the watch of the murderer? A lot of time slips that make you go back thinking you missed something. And what happened to the other 3 cupids? Metamorphosis again? Did they stay Cupids? They never really explained the relationship between Dong Hyun's character and the police chief who knew everything. Why?

Dario Gagetti Jan 20 2024 10:08 am Exciting series that kept us glued to the sofa for the tension it conveyed. Beautiful apart from the last few episodes! Having 2 of the most beautiful actors in the Korean film scene certainly enhanced the series a lot. Jang Dong Yoon and Nana are stunningly beautiful. Kudos to Nana who gave us an attitude that we have never seen before in so many Korean series. Her turning away offended and angry from her beloved Cheon Sang Hyuk with that backward glance as she walked away from him, was unique and exceptional. To be honest the Character Cheon Sang Hyuk we did not love a lot. Too passive, too awkward and so much in difficulty. Not really a fantastic Cupid! Tank you Writer Heo Sung Hee and director Nam Tae Jin for this nice serie and the happy-end. For you a final advice: it is not necessary to fulfill the last episode in this way. We have cried enough, there was no need to exaggerate like this. A super series that deserves a rating of 95

Cupid&Me Jan 12 2024 2:33 am Honestly, Nana looks way too matured for a very boyish looking Jang dong-yoon ! And in terms of height, she is very tall standing next to him even in flats ! I loved him in Nokdu, of course that was 5 years ago but he still looks just as boyish with some added weight on the face.

I can't really connect the chemistry between the ML and the FL and I thought that she was more matching with the police fella. Good thing there was the murder and crime stories behind this drama or else I wouldn't be waiting for episode 13 now :-)

What puzzles me is that why the FL doesn't really own a car being a well paid vet. At times she drives a car, and most of the time takes the bus !

The story has many gap in every scene, Nana acted as a doctor need more practice, the concept of a group of cupid doesn't work, maybe they'll get along well in next episodes.

LB Dec 25 2023 10:24 am I'm a new Jang Dong Yoon fan. I liked him so much in Nokdu. It was an old drama from 2019, but i was late to the party haha. I've been binging this kdrama for the 4th time now while waiting for the new episodes. I laughed a lot in episodes 7 and 8. Jang Dong Yoon is so handsome and adorable. This drama is going to my top 4 list, along with GOBLIN.

Kdrama is life Dec 24 2023 6:08 am The writing is excellent, i'm familiar with phenomenal kdrama writers and their works and i must say this drama is neck and neck with them. Some people who only watched the first few episodes would think i am saying nonsense, but trust me if you just sit for another episode you'd get it. Everything seems so cringe at first and i admit the only reason i didn't drop it was because i love Nana and Dongyoon's acting so much. But as the episode goes i cant help but notice a lot of flawless, heart-capturing lines, whether from the main leads or even the supporting characters, and the actors' natural, on point, delivery is the cherry on top. The cupid-human forbidden romance, the serial killer stuff, the reincarnation stuff, are supposed to be the main plot but its a bit of a shame for me, as i think it's too big for a drama of this scale, so it feels underdeveloped. i dont see where its going or whats the point, it makes this drama looks like a random debut project that's carelessly produced. It's so not fair because the good stuff is hidden in the details, like i said, the superb lines, the subplots, the one-liners (this drama has some of the best jokes of any drama this year istg). I think it could've been better if they just focused on the human-cupid romance part so the main plot wont seem so all over the place, but maybe its too early to say that considering its not even ending yet, maybe by the end of this drama i can piece it all together and finally get what the writer's trying to do. But in spite of that, i still think this drama is more than well written and is definitely a good watch if not a must.

He's doing his best to protect her by denying his feelings even to the point of being childish. But then in episode 8... ? I can't wait for next week

Curious as to how it'll progress & whether Samshin will be less of a jerk. The murder mystery seems a bit thin and I don't have much hopes on it turning out to be a nail biter

We admire the choice of the Casting Director to have achived an extremely efficient mix by combining Nana's beauty with a so special character as Oh Baek Ryeon. In the many Corean TV-series we have seen so far, we have rarely seen a Corean woman speak in such a direct, clear and coruscating manner. This mix of such a fresh, frothy and beauty woman is extremely captivating. We are convinced that many male hearts warms up a lot.

Maybe I was wrong, maybe I just didn't know about it IDK. For me, I like it so far. Both ML and FL are pretty just like 'My Demon'. This month is good since I got beautiful demon,Song Kang and cupid Dong Yoon. ;)

While in justice, she did not shine that much so it's a shame..it's a joy to see her acting fierce and cool there tho. Hope this role suits her more♡
