I am a bit sad for the happy ending and I'm expose why. In this last period (2 years), I'm watching a lot of Korean series and I appreciate the psychology of the characters in most of them. I appreciate how cruel, violent and real the Korean series are. In west countries (Europe, America), the story is "edulcorate", it must end always well but not shows the reality. I found in Korean series the "real" and for this reason each Korean product I watch, I pay attention, and I reflect on each character once I finish the serie. The same was My Name for me. I loved this series for the psychology of each character, especially Choi and Oh. But also the psychology of all the narcotic team and of the drug gangs. I think you wrote an amazing, terrifying opera. I ended My Name 3 days ago and I still think about it. I loved Choi especially because I think you created the perfect legal evil entity He has a code. A firm code. It was like a punch in the stomach his phrase "I never betrayed, why everyone betray me?" I loved him even if he was the "bad guy". I think I loved him because of his code, his methods (he never screams, he has always emotional control until the end. And at the end he loose control only because he was hurt and unsatisfied by people behavior. Or so I think). I understood since the start that he was the killer but I hoped until the end in understanding of him from the other characters and the main character/actress the "detective". I should love a spin off of him, because I think he has so much to tell. He protected her, even if she was searching for him without knowing. I am plenty of emotional. And as psychologist, I Loved this serie even if with "good ending" for the mass people. I was agree with him, even if he was a criminal. I am not looking for a drama that completely reflects the unfairness and tragedies of life.
