Lee Hong-Ju (Kim So-Hyun) is as an animation production PD. When she was in the 3rd grade of high school student, she fell in love for the first time. She went through a hard breakup and has been skeptical of love since that time. 10 years later, she meets Kang Hu-Young (Chae Jong-Hyeop), who witnessed her miserable past.

Kang Hu-Young works as a financial planner and is smart and handsome. He returns to South Korea after 10 years. He meets his first love Lee Hong-Ju as if by chance and fate. He faces a strong wave of emotions. Meanwhile, Bang Joon-Ho (Yun Ji-On), who is a popular novel writer with a free spirit. Lee Hong-Ju is his big fan. Kim Hye-Ji (Kim Da-Som) is Lee Hong-Ju’s best friend and works as an English teacher.

Chae Jong Hyeop plays the cold man with a sweet smile, and Kim So Hyun plays the cheerful, innocent, and stubborn woman.

It's a shame K-Drama has lost it's cute, cringe, comedy, light hearted tropes, which was the primary reason it became popular on Global scale. Fans blaming this one for being cliched, must be fans of dark, gore, mystic, affair-fueled, troubled and heavy plots. I do not understand people who choose dark entertainment. Entertainment needs to entertain and not make your already sore life even sour.

K-drama Holic Sep 21 2024 2:35 am Very typical teen-ish drama with cliché plot. A smart boy had crush with a dumb girl (because of silly moment), who was busy running around doing dumb things for an older "bad" boy instead of studying. The smart boy went abroad to study and become success, the dumb girl is "very lucky" to get a decent job without higher/proper education and experience. They meet again after few years coincidentally and at the same time, "coincidentally", the girl old crush comes back too and stir the girl's heart again. But ofc, after up and down, the boy and the girl get together in the end. Like, if all those dramas with similar plot happen irl, I bet Korea will be full of smart rich guys who end up with dumb girls. Honestly getting tired of high teen dramas with these smart-boy-first-love-is-dumb-girl plot. If you're an F, this drama is for you. But if you're a T, well, better to use your time to watch other drama.

bori Aug 22 2024 5:09 am I'm gonna be real honest I'd rate it 4/10 so repeated story, cringy af interactions and so forced moments between the leads it felt like reading a manhwa or a watching a web drama i love all the cast so i had to high hopes i only kept watching bc of the cast otherwise I'd noticed have given it a chance i don't recommend it but if you like childish cringy cheap stories you'd love this one

Female lead... yeah she was cute but like, some of her decisions??? m'am, make it make sense??? The last two episodes, it seemed like the screenwriters lost their minds like what were they on lol. One thing's for sure, they handled the communication between the main couple really well, like they fight sure, but do they break up for no reason? no they don't. Very demure, very mindful. Overall, would defo recommend.

I realy love the character growth and the llesson of everyone carrying their own emotional wounds that make them feel hurt/ act a certain way. that's really wise and i've been learning/ realizing this lately in my life as well.

their chemistry is so cute. i was so worried about him liking her in the beginning cuz of her bff, but i'm so glad the bff ended up with her cute + dorky mans Hhahahahahah

Noni Aug 15 2024 4:23 pm I really enjoyed this drama. This is one of those I actually wish was longer. Like maybe 12 episodes but I’m satisfied with the 8. I think the mother’s character may bring the ratings down a bit. I don’t like that she gets her way, but the other stories are lovely.

This is a nice, feel-good drama to binge on a weekend. I recommend:… just ignore the mother. LOL :-).

BMR39 Aug 14 2024 6:20 pm This short series is pleasant but very thin. It is like eating patpingsoo (red bean shaved ice) on a summer day: it is refreshing but the taste is light and fades away quickly.

The drama is well cast. It has good and enjoyable acting by the main characters. But the plot is very thin and the team of the screen writer and the director soon painted themselves into a corner. They had completely run out of steam by the 8th episode.

I also enjoy CJH's charming smile, and the characters of Hyeji and Sang-Pil are standout performances. Ji-On, the ex-boyfriend, adds a thoughtful touch to the storyline. Additionally, the OST deserves special mention for its captivating quality.

The ending flashback scene was particularly poignant, revealing that their initial meeting was a serendipitous moment they both overlooked.

It’s like an airy desert that mostly looks fantastic on the outside, thanks to the wonderful chemistry of Kim So-Hyun and Chae Jong-Hyeop. It has a glazing of perfectly captured romantic scenes. But once you take a bite of this cute-looking desert, there is nothing much inside. No real-life struggles, no dedication to work or to art, no hidden message... Just love and air. This being said, airy deserts can be tasty too. I personally quite like it, while recognizing that it doesn’t have all the layers and depth of a masterpiece.

However, I gotta say, the story isn't that strong. If this drama didn't have my favorites, I might have dropped it by now. Like they have nothing but talking about first love. I bet they say "first love" like 10 times each episode. Also, it's been a long time since I've seen a very unnecessarily silly and annoying character like Baek Wook, the uncle. A grown ass man acting like a 10 year old and exaggerating all his reactions. I guess they wanted to make him the funny, young at heart, understanding uncle, but he rather came out as the idiot uncle.
