Cha Eun-Kyung (Jang Na-Ra) is a 17 year veteran star lawyer at Law Firm Daejung. Her speciality is in the field of divorce law. While working on divorce cases, she soon faces a crisis with her own potential divorce. At her law firm, she works alongside rookie lawyer Han Yu-Ri (Nam Ji-Hyun). They are completely different from each other. Han Yu-Ri doesn't tolerate injustice, while Cha Eun-Kyung believes that the interests of the law firm and her clients come first no matter what. Due to their differences in values and experience, they have disagreements on everything. While working through their differences, they both experience a big change in their lives. They also work with lawyers Jung Woo-Jin (Kim Joon-Han) and lawyer Jeon Eun-Ho (Pyo Ji-Hoon) at Law Firm Daejung.

You have true excellence with this script and in the performances, especially in regards to our two illustrious leading ladies. Sometimes I get tired of legal dramas, they tend to repeat the same old, same old cases (especially in regards to divorce!) but this one avoided those common problems. I was never once bored. Give it a try!

Makes up for Jang Na-Ra's previous one, which will remain unmentioned. Now, I want to repeat Fated to Love You just to watch her brilliant character development. Also want to rewatch the extraordinary young actress Yu-Na in Kidnapping Day. Bravo to all.

Kris So Dec 17 2024 11:52 am Two episodes in and I am hooked. The series did not dodge the legal discussions of the cases like other dramas, while putting spotlight into the working life of the newbie lawyer. I was not surprised to find that the script was written by a divorce lawyer.

I have not seen any Jang Nara series ever (and I now wonder why I haven't!) Her portrayal of a celebrity lawyer was excellent - her style, acting, the way she spoke, and her movements - all pointed to her versatility as an actor. I must say I am awed by her amazing talent.

I was so excited to see Ji Seung Hyun!! Then, dang...they turned him into a real slimeball. So disappointed. They did the same thing to Lee Se Eun and Kwak Si Young! Arrrggghhh! Even Lee Tae Sung was given a part of the evil brush. Even with all that I totally enjoyed this series. Lots and lots of cameos from others, including some fav character actors.

algorithms06 Sep 24 2024 5:19 pm Overall a very good drama. However, I was expecting a bit more. I felt that the last case felt rushed. Maybe if the directors/producer gave us a bit more background on how Jung Woo-Jin grew up. That would have helped. I also wanted to see how her ex-husband was living after the divorce and how Choi Sa-Ra felt after all that has happened to her. These were the things that I thought were missing. But overall a must watch.

Mike Sep 22 2024 10:02 am I dropped this at ep2 when the newbie found out about the affair thinking its so cliche. A drama about divorce lawyer found out own husband infidelity?

After it ended and the lack of good kramas, I decided to give a try again to this drama and it did not disappoint.

The plot, acting from each and every characters no matter they are lead or supporting are very good. It makes you hook on it gradually.

The ending has some hole and I wish to see progress between Eun-Kyung and Woo-jin but guess needs to be contended at that.

Hope they make a season 2.

No need for love angles albeit the latter's cutie patootie relationship here with her colleague is too cute and never eeew. The writers and Director have done a pretty excellent job here! ? Divorce is Avery sensitive topic however this drama has opened our eyes to both sides of the coin and to always bear in mind that in a relationship it definitely trashes two to tango.

As for the series, you will never feel asleep and bored. Each episode will really touch your heart. The 4 leads did a great job in executing their roles and actions. The friendship and professionalism is so much stronger. Family is still your full support in every season you have. I will surely miss the team!

K Sep 15 2024 12:44 am Such an amazing show. It's the best I have seen in a while, very refreshing, perfectly cast. I love their exploration of anti-romantic themes, women's struggles, parent struggles, and the human struggle of divorce. This was a 5/5 show for me until episode 15.

They had been playing it up until then the "Will Good Partners insinuate Attorneys Cha and Han business and romantically?" I'm disappointed in the higher ups/everyone who said no to what was clearly written in all the way until the near end of episode 15. They had one episode left and should have went for it. Cowards.

seokjinie Aug 25 2024 5:13 am jang na ra's drama never failed to make me cry, i think this is the best drama i've watched that tackles adultery and divorce, the child actor who portrays jae hui also delivers her acting great showing the true feelings of a child who goes through her parents' divorce, and ofc choi sa ra's character is so infuriating, all the lines that come out of her mouth is so unbelievable i want to smack my screen whenever i watch her, overall this is such a great drama, kudos to all the actors and staff

Deabak this is crazy, really happy for Jang Na Ra, one of my fav actresses, well deserved! Now let's talk about episode 7!!!! This is the best episode for me since the drama started, like I love the fact that the secretary/mistress was promoted then fired on the spot...look at me giggling and screaming take that bxtch. They allowed her have a taste of what been promoted felt like then took it all from her, is just like giving a child candy and telling such a child to just lick it once and spit it out! Like such a shameless woman, she was still walking with her head held high at work as if she didn't destroy a family, wanting to play step mom by abducting Jang Na Ra's child, just imagine. I also love that both cheats lost their jobs and have also broken up, serves them right, tgis is what happens with mistresses and married men, you will think that once the cheating spouse gets a divorce he/she will be happy with their cheating partner but NO!!! It's just the thrill of been caught that was keeping their relationship spicy, now that the whole world knows about them it's no longer sweet or thrilling. And the secretary is so audacious and pompous, she brought her changing table into his apartment, lmao ??. This is also the difference between Jae Hui's father and the 2nd FL's father, her own father did not even care about her not to talk of fighting for custody. Jae Hui's father drew a line from the beginning with bis mistress, as his child is a top priority for him, but this is different from the 2nd FL's father. But I hate that the law doesn't punish or prosecute cheating spouse, it's really unfair, as most of them end up getting married again and moving on with their lives while the innocent partner takes the brute of everything

Everyone is correct about the ex husband and Secretary (Cheaters: Snakes in the grass) that they are immorally guilty, but greedy. He married Lawyer Cha to be the house/cook- husband and the secretary, well she was typical behind the scene back stabber :backstabber (plural backstabbers) A traitor or hypocrite, such as a co-worker or friend assumed trustworthy but who figuratively attacks when one's back is turned.

The Daughter/Child-custody: Here is where their both guilty of neglect. Secretary does want custody, but she is faking it. Ex Kim Ji-Sang, is trash. Move on with the Trashy secretary, she may be pregnant already. Just saying??????????

I still don't understand why she thinks Attorney Han is her best choice though, only because they have different styles? Please. It even took her days and a visit to a countryside to come up with that "countermeasure"? And I thought Cha has prepared all the necessary proofs because she finally decided to divorce her husband, why does she look so unprepared?

Often, women are criticized more for cheating than men, whether they're single & entered a relationship w/ a married man or they're the cheating wife.

Here it is clear that Ji Sang is married and should hold more responsibility as the husband. But with Sara's actions, I can't help but get angry more with her. I'm furious at the husband too, he's an idiot, he can't see how conniving Sara is, and will do anything to win, not really caring for the daughter.

Well, whatever's Sara's POV of how Eun Kyung as a mom is, came from Ji Sang so they're truly both trash. Sara knew he's married too so she wasn't tricked into this. Ugh, it's so infuriating.

I'll understand if the daughter feels more affection towards his dad since he raised her but I hope she sees what her dad did as a husband to her mom, she's intelligent after all. But yeah, that doesn't really matter, since she's just a child and it could be really emotionally taxing to be in this situation.

Anyways, sad for Eun Ho but I like the story so far. Also, I continue to enjoy Nara & JiHyun's interaction. Also sad for the husband office for carrying a one sided love and wow, that's his dad, ugh. What a great law firm with a trash head.

It's hard to predict what happen next on this drama but I totally love the plot of revenge from HYR on behalf of CEK towards her cheating husband. Love this drama, hoping this will get more attention it deserves. Jang Nara and Nam Jihyun collaboration really good.

My take is that the wife was reluctant to take action when her husband had the previous affairs. Also, the son was young and taking care of him was the priority. which was why it escalated until this point.

in addition, the evidence submitted in court was more speculative than definitive. However I really hoped that the husband will just divorce the wife.

Six Jul 12 2024 9:23 pm I'm kind of disappointed with the first case in the first episode. Maybe I have high expectations when I watched Running Man and Nam Ji Hyun mentioned that the writer is a true divorce attorney.

In the 1st case, how could there be no evidence for having 6 affairs. How could the wife's lawyer not counsel or advise her to get more solid evidence or how could the wife not get evidence herself throughout the years. Or maybe there are really cases like this and I'm the one being biased here. But usually lawyers, if they're really good would ask their client to gather evidence first, coz truly sometimes they don't have physical evidence besides witnessing it themselves. So did the wife just had a not so competent lawyer. I mean, I know it's their lives here, but also, it's a battle of lawyers too. Maybe my expectations were too high. Or since this is just the 1st case, they didn't really went deep with it, and also it's just a side story, maybe Jang Nara's character divorce will have more details.

Anyways, I like Jang Nara and Nam Ji Hyun's interaction so far.

Hopefully other cases have more good plot & storytelling. It's not that I want it to be reality, coz it's not, but you know, you have to convince the audience of the storyline/plot.
