I love everyone's acting, yes - including the young siblings. I mean you got "My Golden Life" mothers, Ji Su-Won returning back to her antagonist era, and the kid Eun-Cheong is able to perform his role very well. <3 My only disappointment is how the villainess was punished, I expected some kind of extension of about 2-3 more episodes just to give it some more build up. 7.9/10. I know Ha Na explained why she stopped playing piano, but it would have been fun to see a piano rematch between her and Se-Young, but that plot point was left in their high-school days. Elle Apr 16 2025 10:19 am SPOILERS AHEAD I’m usually not overly critical online, but I can’t recommend Cinderella Game—though I’ll admit, it’s weirdly addictive. The plot drags you in until you suddenly realize ("Wait, I’m already on Episode 30?!") and traps you in sunk-cost fallacy hell. I had high hopes given the premise, but the writing is a mess, and so are the characters. The revenge arc? (Yes, that’s sarcasm.) It’s as flimsy as the protagonists—except for the villains, who are cartoonishly evil. Take Se-Young: she conspires with her mom to keep her aunt in a coma, tries to kidnap her cousin (EC), embezzles from the company, and lies about EC’s disappearance… yet still gets a redemption arc. What? I love family dramas, which is why I gave this a shot. But after enduring endless episodes of the FL being mistreated, her “empowerment” lasts maybe two episodes. Sure, she rocked the bob and red suit, but nothing changed long-term. She falls for the man who betrayed her and keeps tolerating people who treat her like garbage. (Guess we’re calling that ‘resilience’ now?) And if she can cozy up to the guy who lied about her birth mother, she might as well have forgiven the Chairwoman too. Honestly, Ha-Na should’ve just accepted the CW’s offer and stayed her daughter, but the writer clearly wasn’t interested in being creative. Sidenote: The scene with Se-Young sobbing in her wedding dress was visually stunning. The siblings are reduced to clownish sidekicks, and the eldest—the one who started this "revenge"—still pines after Se-Young, a criminal now framed as a victim. This drama (still unfinished) feels like an insult to viewers. Plot points and dialogue vanish without explanation, as if the writers gave themselves amnesia worse than the Chairwoman’s. And Jin-Koo? He’s not a character—he’s a cardboard cutout. Zero emotional depth, just drifting around like background decor. At this point, I’m only watching to see how this trainwreck ends. I’ve suffered too much to quit now. It’s easily one of the worst-written family dramas I’ve seen—and I’m still juggling My Merry Marriage and Desperate Mrs. Seon Ju, which only highlights how Cinderella Game fails at basics. Once I’m done, I’m off family K-dramas for a while. Final verdict: If you enjoy shows where villains win effortlessly while “heroes” yell, brood, and achieve nothing… congratulations, this dumpster fire is for you. And now finding out her mother kept a few things from her is going to make her realize the error of her ways? Give me a break. In episode 75 go hana started her scheme and the big day is se-young wedding day. But before that se young mother started to feel hana if she know something about the fake pregnancy so she contacted the former detective to installed a bug at hana's phone little did she know that hana has two phones and knows exactly what se young mother's scheme so hana played along.. fast forward! on se young wedding hana give se young a boquet of flowers and contacted se young groom and drop the bomb! at first jin koo never believe what hana told him because he believes that se young is pregnant due to ultra sound he hears the babby's heart beat But hana dialed her phone and she let the doctor come inside and told jin koo about those lies.... se young was so happy taking pictures with the guest. little by little they're waiting the groom to arrive and the jinkoo mother started to call her son and ask him where he is and jinkoo told her that se young is not pregnant and the lights turn off after hearing this from her son jinkoo mother slap se young mom .... then go hana went to se young bridal room where she started to tell se young that the weddding is off and jinkoo knows exactly what she did.... it was then at that perfect moment se young get mad and tried to hurt hana but hanna escape and turn se young kneeling position and hana started to step se young wedding gown ahahahahahaha... I like the gutsy Goo Ha Na, but I am totally annoyed when she became so clueless believing Hwang Jin Goo that her biological mother was looking for her. I hope the story does not make Ha Na "dating" ill-tempered Jin Goo that always resort to violence (whenever he is facing Goo Ji Seok). The flashbacks are unnecessary and only began after people complained about missing information that could have been shared earlier on. I noticed that a lot of the episodes are repeating scenes (with a little more detail). The only purpose being served with this ploy is to justify the number of episodes we will have to endure to get to the end. I am enjoying the acting except for the Se Young character (actress). The older female actresses are all phenomenal (even the villainess sister-in-law). IMHO, the story could be told in fewer episodes. However I don't know why Writer-nim made Gu Hana the main FL mostly stupid especially epi 13 & 14. Knowing her brother is trying to "kill Hyesong Tour" but she's still working for the tour company. They all exist for the main plot. I wouldn't mind some time spared on the siblings though, it might get draggy if we do not have anything else. If you are not paying attention it may seem scattered. However, this is like real life. It is only sequential when it is showing a certain character or characters and you have to pay attention to the flashbacks. All of the actors have done a good job especially Na Young- Hee as a seasoned “typecast” actor she is definitely a box office because no matter how Random the other actor’s perform this particular typecast acting style is the glue within the plot. She is wonderful and I respect her talent. However, she loses her job due to a bad relationship with the president of Hyesung Tours, Hwang Jin Goo. Luckily, she was scouted back after a VIP member gave her recognition for her guiding skills. Working alongside Jin Goo, who's always sincere and bright, she develops feelings beyond admiration. However, she knows he's taken and pushes her feelings aside to focus on work. One day, Jin Goo tells her something shocking. "Your mom is looking for you." Should Ha Na believe him or not? Once again, Ha Na finds herself at another crossroads in her life. They can always go to the island to look for her, or the orphanage should report the missing child to the police, as well as the police should contact the other police stations to report that they found the missing child. I dont know, is this how they communicate? Because if I am the mother of the missing child, I would not sit and just wait for the police report.
