Jin-Yeon (Kang Sung-Yeon), Gyeong-Soon (Kim Ji-Young) and Jung-Mi (Hwang Woo Seul Hye) attended the same high school and now live in the same apartment complex. Back in their high school days, they were involved in a murder case. Now, they have unhappy marriage lives and try to protect their families.

Park Min Apr 21 2023 12:00 pm They had 121 episodes but barely accomplished much with that. Most things left to the last second and that time-skip ending was bad. In general, they handled all the relationships very poorly, as poorly as you could imagine.

lrt Jul 28 2021 5:59 pm Loved this!!! it took quite a few episodes to set itself up but situations get resolved ...others arise...people come and others go. Whenever I get emotional. I know its a good story. Crazy on steroid sister-girlfriend...cheating men. Transforming your world and appearance. Forgiveness and acceptance. The cast did a great job of drawing you in!!

I was accidentally on MBC station and happened to watch one of the Great Wives episode. After that I searched on the internet and watched the entire collection. I have watched it so many times like a teenager with a huge crush. I agree with you that there should have been more time for these two folks, developing the love a bit longer, introducing her to his Family than the hospital scenes of Professor and his mistress. At episode 102, when the mistress moves in with her mom, they should have moved Ms. Yu and Hana out to Director Do's residence. This would have given the couple a good base to build the relationship and heal Hana instead of being indirectly tortured by the mistress. I would have loved that. At the end, they should have brought Director Do, with his wife and child (ren) ? Did she have a boy with him? How about his marriage? The proposal was so great without the marriage. Felt left out.

I felt Director Do acted with such grace, loved watching him with Ms. Yu. His interaction with Hana when he had his doubts, and trying to heal Hana with his story and bearing to hear her say that he was not her DAD, and loving her irrespective was awesome. Loved watching episode 121, where hana tells her dad something about that he is her DAD and such. The translation is not available yet.

I don't know if there are more episodes of this drama continuing further or this was the end of it. If there are more episodes coming, the writers should definitely highlight Director Do's promise of standing by her and make her laugh and be a great family that the others would model after. Men (I think!) need such models. Any way loved seeing them.

The other character stories were OK, nothing great.

Chuck Dec 07 2015 9:30 pm I am not a fan of Kdramas at all but I stumbled upon this series on KBN once and watched every episode. I saw the finale (probably a late U.S. airing) and I was quite satisfied with how it ended except..... SPOILER DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. I was disappointed that they did not have an ending scene between Ji Yeon and Hyeong-Min. I know it is heavily implied that they end up together from the text he sent her that he is returning from England, but my main interest in the series was Ji Yeon's story arc and wanting to see if she finds happiness. After all she went through with her husband, Soo Jung, and Eun-Young, she deserves it the most out of all the characters!

Tybolt Dec 02 2015 7:09 pm I don't know what any of these fine actresses that you're thumbing your nose at @wren ever did to earn your distaste, but answer as to whether our three lead actresses can "prop up" this drama for a 100+ episodes would be a big, "Hell, yes!" Not only are Korean daily dramas (like this one) filled with incredibly skilled supporting actors and actresses, but each of our leads has more than earned her stripes over the years, It is actually Hwang Woo Seul Hye who has me stopping by for a daily dose, as she's pretty much stolen the show in most of the parts I've seen her play. Maybe the fact that these are mature people and not pop stars is as turn off for the younger set, but many veteran dramas viewers (myself included) can always be content to stay around to watch the seasoned pros as work. After all, as the saying goes, "All that glitters is not gold..."

P.S. I'm also tuning in to watch the final role played by the late Han Khung Sun who died suddenly, and tragically during the early episodes of this series. She brought many a smile to my face providing her unique, and quirky characters, and I mourn her passing. May she rest in peace.

mannequin Oct 10 2015 5:41 pm how ironic the title of the drama. these wives are horrible, thats why we watch them. not so much the hairdresser but the other two, highbrow, lowbrow, one is outright uneducated, the other pretending to be sophisticated by marriage. leaves little wonder why their husbands are out playing...

I did not recognize Kim Ji Young (Jo Gyeong Soon) in this drama at all - she was the one of the main stars in Everything Kimchi. She is really rough in this drama with her mannerisms and speech. Hmmm.....

I also like Lee Jong Won (Han Gi-Cheol). He was good in Legendary Witches and Lights and Shadows. I liked his role in Legendary Witches better - as it was a fun show.
