I was a bit worried the plot wouldn’t be as good as the cast and, as a sci-fi action fan, I’d be disappointed by the Korean interpretation of it. Also I’ll admit I was kind of biased against Ryu Jun Yeol given how he handled (or lack of) his personal relationships. Personally I thought it was very sleazy and was worried it would get in the way of the movie. However I really enjoyed it, even his character. He was giving Jang Uk from Alchemy of Souls at times, which I loved. I thought the movie was so funny and so unserious at times, which was an interesting contrast to the rather realistic and gross aliens. Despite all the fighting and death, there wasn’t as much blood as I thought so looking back, it’s a rather light sci-fi movie. My only gripe was I wasn’t feeling any chemistry between Mireuk and Yian and I would’ve loved some more Guard/Thunder and Yian moments together. Harper Jul 04 2024 1:11 pm Movie was seriously good, things about this movie though is that you don't need to watch the first one to understand this movie (but you have to watch the first one to deeply understand it) because it gives a recap of what happened. The comedy and acting on this is also amazing.
