Madoka Akagi (Nanase Nishino) was born and raised in a port town in the Kanto region. After she graduated from a local university in her hometown, she began to work for a company in her hometown. To pursue her dream of becoming a creator, she quits her job and moves to Tokyo. She begins to work for small advertising agency ADventure. Madoka Akagi's life in Tokyo doesn't go as well as she expected. One day, she happens to undertake an important presentation that will determine the fate of her company. At that time, her stuff that her mom sent are delivered to her in Tokyo. Among her personal items, Madoka Akagi finds a portable game player and the game Pokemon Red that she played when she was a child. She plays the game again for the first time in 20 years. By playing the game, Madoka Akagi makes an important realization about her life.
