Yong-Bi (Ji Soo), Sang-Woo (Suho), Ji-Gong (Ryu Jun-Yeol) and Doo-Man (Kim Hee-Chan) are four 20-year-old friends. They take a trip to Pohang for one night and 2 days for Sang-Woo who is about to enlist in the military. At night, they drink on the beach and watch the night view of the sea. At that time, the friends see a woman being beaten by a man. They run to save her.

I'm still confused as to how the abusive husband died at the end, I'm kind of suspecting that maybe the wife killed her own husband (but this is just a wild guess). Also, it still frustrates me though, why did the wife have to lie? The boys just had to help her. It's a very sad movie. Though, it somehow did reflect the real world--how innocent people get blamed, and just because someone who's well-known (the woman who got abused is a news anchor, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong) has given her statement, they all side with her JUST BECAUSE she's 'famous' and has the 'money'.

But, the actors here were great. <3

JustForRyu Sep 15 2020 2:30 am Despite reading bad comments and negative reviews about this film, I still gave it a try since I trust Ryu Junyeol, who is, I believe, the type of actor who chooses his projects really really well. I already watched most of his movies, and if you also did, you'd know what I'm talking about. ^_^

Well, after watching this one, I must say that those people had the right to be disappointed. I mean, the movie itself had its own depth, but I guess it somehow lacked enough reasons. Some decisions made by the characters were irrational and so-out-of-character. I just don't understand why those things had to happen. Or maybe, there's just some messages or lessons that I failed to catch, idk.

Nevertheless, the actors are great and very convincing. So, I can't actually say that it wasted my time. Some scenes made me smile, some even made me laugh and that's enough for me. And since I'm so in love with Ryu Junyeol these days, I guess, even watching him saying or doing nothing will never waste my time. Lol . . . . .

(Btw, if by any chance you're looking for a worth-watching Korean movies, please try A Taxi Driver, Believer, The King, Money and other RJY's films.)

Lol I just found out that some people think that this movie just wasted their time. Well, Ryu Junyeol is here, and every second that I spend in watching Junyeol as he transforms from one character to another will always be a time well-spent.

Laura Mar 24 2020 10:24 am This is a very sad movie & it has many gaps,I cant believe how this police acted on this youth ,and how did that man die is not answered.But Im not dissapointed with actors all the boys did well,and Suho was awesome that warmth good kid was shown very much , Jisoo 's acting ws superb , RyuJoon Yeol as always nailed his role.But this story is really sad.

The story was pretty good but I have some questions. 1. Who was the real criminal? 2.Why was the news presenter so much supported by her big boss? After all, an employee can be fired...3.Why defend so hard a simple employed? 4.Who was the presenter's lover 5.Why if he was convicted? Yong Bi shows him walking outside with his brother and then goes to Sang Woo funeral? I like that the movie shows the real face incredibly cruel and devoid of any morality of the world we live in, unfortunately...Morale: Watch what "friends" you are make, "The true friend shows itself when you need it"...

I really can't bear unfairness especially when it comes to innocent people being wrongly accused, so I was kind of hopping for a proof or sth to come out, but finally I think the turn of the events is the best way to emphasize the flaws of today society and come along with the realistic and critical stance of the director. Yes it's not about watching a movie about how friendship goes and stuff (even if friendship has an important place in the movie) It's about denoncing sth, or maybe reminds people miscarriage of justice can happen. Sangwoo and his grandma broke my heart, they really epitomized the unpowerness in the movie... I came for the actors and wasn't disappointed at all, Ji Soo was agian able to convey strong feelings and Suho did very well I think :) I saw Ji Soo was nominated for a blue dragon award, it's such an important regognition, I hope he will go far !

Cassie Nov 23 2016 8:14 am the movie just showed how the world is UNFAIR to those who were not in power.. it's just shows the REALITY were in.. the corruption in the police & the selfishness of some people just to get away from trouble and will put all the BLAME to the weak one.. although i can't change the end of Sangwoo but still i wish the end is different, like - 1. the detective who believes Youngbee and his friends were innocent will try to find evidence to clear the boys names & to find the REAL culprit which we all know who; 2. Youngbee will enlist and fulfill Sangwoo's wish & clear Sangwoo's name; 3. Dooman & Jigong didn't put all the blame to Sangwoo just to ran away from the trouble they were about to face if they were his REAL friends.. even though i don't like the ending, still I will praise the movie for showing what the REALITY is.. for showing what will people do when facing a very hard challenge.. for showing who will be the REAL friend in times of trouble.. for showing that SOME PEOPLE WERE NOT WORTH IT FOR OUR HELP especially when in return they'll frame you up when trouble arises.. this movie just shows the true colors of people when facing tough hard challenges in life.. the decisions they will do and the out comes of that decisions..

The ending of the story maybe sad but there's a very good moral to learn specially for young boys and girls that being temperamental will ONLY get you to TROUBLE! ALL the young actors were really brilliant particularly Ji Soo and Suho, I am also super happy to see Kim Dong-Wan of SHINWA in this movie. Just my own reflection, for the so many Korean movies and dramas I have watched, the policemen and law enforcers always behave brutally and inhumanly, is this really the real situation in Korea?!? We know that movies and dramas are most of the times reflections of the real world... I super recommend this movie to ALL parents and teenagers (",)

SPOILER when they said that Sang Woo is a murder i wish that he will die, because i would rather die than feel the betrayal of the friends. i do not want to see how he wakes up without friends. but i feel sad because of the rest. they didn't do anything wrong and they were treaeted like murders. and they were feeling like in trap. This movie makes me so sad and even now i want to cry. i love how they show every feelings and the end killed me... 10/10

When do we just take someone's word for it? I applaud the cop one cop. This was really sad and I really don't like that they blamed poor Sang Woo. It seemed like Young Bi was the only one who actually cared about throwing dirt on his name but in the end what happened, happened.

poor sangwoo. he's the only innocent one that didn't hit that guy but he was charged murder :( i'm actually relieved that sangwoo died because he doesn't have to face the truth that his friends accused him for killing the guy and he doesn't have to suffer and to be branded as a criminal. but yeah this movie is so sad :((((

Ji Soo is one of my favourite actors and he performs brilliantly (and as a hardcore Exo-L, it was great to see another side of our awkward leader!)

I actually really liked the ending. It stuck with me after watching it, which is something I really look for in a movie. Yes, It may not be the happy ending with the MCs getting justice but because of that it had more impact. Not everything in the world ends justly or happily. Sometimes things don't end well and that's why I liked the ending of this film. It may have felt wrong or dirty or sad but that's what makes it feel real.

meg Jun 05 2016 10:28 pm omg... i'm so mad at the ending.. i personally feel wronged for sang woo and want to throw that lady in prison...I feel like the director took out the most simple investigation methods just to purposely come out with that ending.. like no cctvs, lawyers, and the most simple.. blackbox in that truck and the rash police who give no shits about people.... ugh but honestly the cast was amazing talented and really sold their roles. pretty great movie overall just wish there was justice
