Anonymous Feb 18 2022 2:21 pm Watched this earlier today. It's 3am now. Can't sleep. Still blown away by the ending (or should I say the latter half of this movie).

Yes, plot-wise it's pretty "basic", and there are some parts which can be improved on. But damn. All I can say is that its an excellent movie. The nostalgic 90s vibe, humor, tragedy, everything. It shows the value of true friendship, and how one "bad day" can affect one's life for years to come, if not forever. Kudos to everyone who worked hard on this movie.

My advice? Just watch it. You won't regret it. Also prepare some tissues/napkins. Trust me, you'll need it ;)

10/10 everything are perfect! i hope everyone can learn to not treat disable people like some of people in this movie

Starlight Feb 15 2019 4:09 am Glad I gave this movie a shot. It was a little slow at the beginning but it picked up momentum about halfway through. I cried like a baby. It really showcases friendship amazingly. I'm almost sure Gil-Ja was the one who sent that letter to Bum Sil because at the end you see her crying reading Soo ok's diary. Soo ok said that she wanted all of them to meet up when they were 40. 23 years later and they're all now 40 so Gil Ja probably sent that letter in to bring them all together. Soo ok wanted that and I'm just glad that it all, in a way, worked out at the end. Also, anybody else notice that Gil Ja and Gae dook are in laws now? Lol.

[SPOILER] I cried when they found Soo-ok's body in the water. I cried when Gil-Ja felt like it was her fault that all of this happened. I cried when she got into a fight with Gae Duk about who's fault it was that soo ok killed herself. I cried when the parents brought out lunch and it was boiled chicken. They blamed themselves for not being able to stop her and for saying such hurtful things to her. It hurt so much seeing how they were all affected by their friend's death. Overall, a really nice drama and really heartfelt.

This movie is very “interactive” as you’ll feel their frustration, their joy, their playfulness, and their hurts. While some of the characters were a bit “flat”, the plot development makes up for it. I would definitely recommend this movie

최고 Feb 16 2018 9:26 pm I’ve always loved Kim Sohyun and her dramas and I’ve only ever seen Kyungsoo in the drama ‘It’s okay, it’s love’ and so decided I wanted to give this movie a shot. It was totally worthy it. I feel like the way they portrayed their friendship is very heart-warming. The romance element is not forced and so the whole theme of friendship remains the dominant one throughout the movie. I also recommend you buy yourself a box of tissue before watching this. If you didn’t cry watching this, you deserve an award. I could probably fill up a bucket with the amount of tears that I just shed

once again, the difference of hollywood movies and korean/japanese ones are, in hollywood movies, mostly if after 20 mins the plot is still flat, the story is still boring, pretty much it will go like that till the end, but for asian (mainly korean/japanese) you need more patience as it can goes from 0-100 from 20-30 mins mark. the perfect example is this movie. it starts rather bland i say, i almost stop watching during 20 mins because it looks pretty cliche so far, but glad i go through, up to the scene where bumsil overheard the shocking news from the doctor leading to the later effects. i honestly think of brighter ending during the fight scene in the woods (before the huge blow), i thought soo ok sent the letter to tell her drifted friends to meet up etc etc so when that defining scene happened, it hits me too T_T

i dont feel the chemistry among soo ok for bumsil along the movie, i feel that its rather one sided love since bumsil literally stalking her while she is nice to everybody, even to her male friends and the doctor, so the mixtape "to.love" and bunch of bumsil photos she took are bit forced up for me..

at glance it may looks like "anohana" but i found it more like "13 reasons why" since its about suicide and the effect towards the beloved ones, the devastating effect can be felt at the end (the closing segment) from soo ok words in the letter filled with positivity and warmth with "see you tomorrow" at the end; but series of unfortunate events shattered her life so hard making theres no tomorrow for her.

i still give this movie 8/10 because losing a friend is relatable for me and their acting are believable, you can feel the emotions portrayed when someone you cherish is gone

I cried at that time when, Soo Ok found out she can't walk even though with the surgery and that time when Beom Sil kissed the umbrella, and when they found out where Soo Ok was when she was missing. Well, to be honest i don't even remember when i staryed crying though. All, I know is that, I think it was Gil Ja who gave the letter, seeing that she and Soo Ok were pretty close.. I also think that it was Gil Ja's fault that Soo Ok actually drowned. She was the one who started the fight in the first place, and had broken up their friendship. It's just... well, that's my opinion.

Well, I really loved the movie and how their friendship went on.... But it's flames started to die out when the doctor came... I just wish that the ending was more merrier, but it was slightly different than i expected... Oh well, this movie should deffinately be one of the movies that should not be critized because of it's sad ending.... I was so glad when it won an award. I was so proud... Definately....

P.S. This the second movie that I watched with an Exo Member in it, and they both did their roles swell. (Suho- One Way Trip)

João Nov 13 2016 4:36 am Till now i've been avoiding Korean movies and i would only watch dramas and shows like 2D1N, Gag concert and return of superman, but i decided to give it a try. It was my first Korean movie, and i have to say that it was amazing, normally i dont cry for movies, but this one got me. Every actor was amazing, they were all chosen very well. It was like i was their friend and i was suffering with them. This a friendship that everyone wants. JUST AMAZING!!

LOVE Soo Ok Nov 05 2016 3:01 am I actually think it's Gil-Ja the one who sent the letter to Beom-Sil at the the radio station. She was the one who read Soo-Ok's diary after Soo-Ok died and when the letter was sent to the radio station, she wasn't suprised, shock, or got emotional. Instead she was smiling brightly and it seems like she's been waiting for that moment to come. Unlike Beom-Sil, San-dol, and Gae-Duk, they got shock and got emotional when Soo-Ok's letter was broadcast on the radio. Overall, the movie is so beautiful. The calm and fun moments of friendship were shown on the begginning and the turning point of the movie was so unexpected. I was touched and I cried with this movie. Kim So Hyun and Do Kyung Soo made an OUTSTANDING and UNIQUE acting. I love it~

There was no progress till like later in the movie so it was a bit boring in the beginning but I enjoyed the adorable moments of friendship. Those scenes made my heart warm. My heart felt heavy at the tragedy and I cried so much. Nothing much really happened in the story beside the tragedy but it was still a feel good story about friendships.

It is a story of love and friendship and reality. It makes me want to reminisce the times when i was younger. It made me cry and laugh as well. Overall, i was moved and deeply touched.

When you watch Pure love, you'll never see beomsil as do kyungsoo. You will just see bomsil, you will not care about do kyungsoo. ISTG I hate cheesy film but I don't hate this film. This film is beautiful and sad. You'll see the purest love in this film. And in my opinion, the movie wasn't cliche at all.. It's good. Especially when you have a childhood friend.

Truc Mar 22 2016 10:47 am I cried a lot at the end. I watched it without subtitles so I didn't really understand the plot completely. The storyline was meh. Acting wise everyone was good. I fell in love with kyungsoo's charisma and acting in It's okay it's love and I remember you before I even know of Exo. He has great potential as an actor. I know this is a small budget movie but the plot was so simple that I don't think it should have been made into a movie at all. I hope he picks a better project next time.

amber Mar 20 2016 10:21 am there was so much promotion for this film but the sales and the reviews were bad. i honestly think it was a "meh" movie. it wasn't good at all, but the bad part is that it was so hyped, it was promoted and marketed so much so you see it everywhere, but what you get from the movie is nothing special.

to be honest, i think kyungsoo is an overrated actor. and this is coming from a die hard exo-L. and i think it wasn't a good idea to just bank on one actor-idol's popularity, even if he's from exo. the movie should've had a better script and better acting

Too many promoted for this film, made many showcase from many different places but unfortunately this film is not that hits and made into movie blockbuster. Just because they had a popular actress and actor for the lead but that doesnt means these films will make into blockbuster. The storyline was very cliché. So i already knew before the films is airing on cinemas, the films will not be able to make into blockbuster movie. Shame on the directors bcs they just using do kyung soo and kim soo hyun for sweet couple on this film but the film is noob. What a waste

YOU SHOULD WATCH THE TRAILER BECAUSE ITS AWESOME. Even though some says the plot of this movie is boring, I found the plot more interesting when I red and watch it. I don't watched the full movie yet but I'm sure it's going to be great. I also love the OST of this movie which is the 'Dust in the Wind by: Kansas' which contains the message that everyone's existence will eventually become dust but it is also means that you will not be easily forgotten. Very meaningful, right?

The acting of the actors and actresses are very excellent. I love the love team of Kim Soo Hyun and D.O. Kyungsoo there. I saw the trailer and I was really surprised about the D.O. Kyungsoo's acting there. Not that I'm saying that his acting skills there is bad and also we all know how talented D.O. Kyungsoo is especially when it comes in the industry of Music and Acting. I just can't believe the faces (character) he showed in there. Too realistic. Good Job Kyungsoo!

KSH is already 16, i think it's way overdue she shared a kiss in a drama/ movie.

so now i can also hope she will have a kiss scene with Ji Soo in 'Page Turner'. I really hope it happens :)

elsa felicia Jun 23 2015 10:52 am omg can't wait for this moviee, i cant wait for it to announce the release date tho. i will surely watch this drama as soon as possible. i am totally a kdrama fan, and the movies too and i am also a deepdeep deep deep exo l and my bias is kyungsoo, and the fact that i watched every single movie/drama he acted in, he is a really great actor, he gets the feel really well. and for kim so hyun's case i watched a lot of drama and movie she acted in too. the newest one with nam joohyuk in it. she acts really well, i really can't wait for this movie to come out. and i read some of the comments, seriously tho, some of exo's fan may be a little sensitive, but not the whole fandom, so please don't spit out your judgements so easily like that. anyway CANT WAIT FOR THIS DRAMA, DO KYUNGSOO KIM SO HYUN FIGHTING!!!!!!!

I'm not too sure about Kyungsoo's acting but I think its okay but I wouldn't mind if he was the lead male. The age gap doesnt bother me because KSH acted with Sun-woong in "Ma Boy" with a huge age gap and I don't think she will get that much hate from crazy exo fans because she's talented and popular. Anyways I'm looking forward to this movie if these two star in it xD

luvkdramas4eva Apr 02 2015 5:31 am Please let Kyungsoo and Kim So Hyun do this drama (i don't care about the age gap because its just acting and KSH has acted with people with a larger age gap like sun-wong from Ma Boy). Plus KSH is really talented in acting and has been wanting to branch out to the movie franchise (and i don't think she will get as much hate compared to other actresses). I don't know if Kyungsoo is ready for a lead role in a movie yet but I would like to see him in this film.
