Masajiro Miyazawa (Koji Yakusho) owns and runs a pawn shop for generations. His first son is Kenji Miyazawa (Masaki Suda) and his daughter is Toshi Miyazawa (Nana Mori). Kenji Miyazawa is supposed to take over the pawn shop as the first son, but he refuses to take over the store. Masajiro Miyazawa is soft on his son. Meanwhile, Toshi Miyazawa is smart and wise. She gives advice to her father and her older brother. One day, Toshi Miyazawa gets sick.

Ann Feb 07 2024 11:32 am There's this Japan Film Festival going on in our country and this happen to be one of the movies. Me, without checking the plot, zero expectations about the film ended up with a happy heart after watching this.

The story is absolutely fantastic, funny, warm, heart wrenching, and full of realizations. Watching the film made me think of my dad ao much.

I love it.

The storyline, the actors, and the way it was delivered. Just magnificent!

nico Nov 17 2022 9:02 am I thought nana mori will be the first one of masaki suda students in hiragi homeroom to be his first leading lady because right now almost all of his female students in that drama already played leading role.
