Taishi Shoji (Tori Matsuzaka) is a third generation politician. He grew up in a sheltered life with his politician family. He is married to popular actress Yui Kurosawa (Riisa Naka). They have been married for 5 years. Their marriage life is not very good. They pretend to be a lovey and happily married couple, but, at home, they rarely speak to each other. Complicating things for them, getting a divorce is difficult for them due to external circumstances. Nevertheless, Taishi Shoji and Yui Kurosawa decide to divorce and begin working together to end their marriage.

Don’t want to see it again and kinda wish l hadn’t watched it due to what l believe is an ambiguous not really happy ending where financial stability is established all around but long and lasting loving relationships are devalued. The FL’s mother in the story has 7 kids by 7 different men none of whom she married. Her philosophy, as she informs FL, is why marry when life is long and she gets to experience many loves. She accomplishes this due to financial contributions from FL and her husband’s family. Later FL has a so with her husband after they divorce. Rather than choose one of the 2 men she had love relationships with she adopts her mother’s lifestyle to go through life leaving a string of men in her wake in an uncommitted existence. An ending that really pissed me off to downvote it on Netflix.

Kira May 21 2024 8:13 pm It’s really a great drama, from the start I can feel the excitement! The acting is also really cool. It’s so entertaining. But I really hate the shouji character I hope I don’t have a husband like him hahaa

Flower Jul 02 2023 7:31 pm This is entertaining but a bit unsettling at the same time. Patriarchy values are strong in this drama... I am uncomfortable at how the female announcer was fired from her workplace but the lead male who cheated was able to keep his position as a politician, and it was applauded as a "competence" of the agency's head. But I'm kind of satisfied with the ending, which is quite deserving (I'm trying to not spill any spoiler of the ending here...lol).

Anyway...Ryo Nishikido is so handsome :))
