Han Jin Woo, Korea's top medical examiner, leads a team of experts in conducting a medical crime investigation after strange events and mysterious deaths occur in a hospital. hannie Apr 27 2020 12:14 am do i still need to watch seasons 1-4? im planning to watch god's quiz reboot but found out it has earlier seasons. are the stories of each seasons connected to each other?

Mays Dec 18 2018 6:10 pm I love it... Especially S1-S2... I don't really like S4. The story is totally different. In earlier season, they analyze dead body of people who had rare disease. But later they started to catch crimals who have rare disease by analyzing dead body. It just "doesn't make sense". Still enjoy it though. Also increasing romance in S4 is a little bit too much for me for this kind of drama. Not to mention the time han jin woo spend in the field is longer than the time he spend in the lab. I have a lot in my mind! lol I haven't watch Reboot(S5?). Hope that will be great. I little bit disappointed with S4, but still enjoy this. :D

mxchx Oct 31 2018 11:45 am Other commenters here don’t do this show justice! Quiz from God as many of other OCN crime dramas were never intended to have romance in mind. It’s the little moments in their journey similar to real life occurrences that touches the viewers’ heart. RDH’s acting is absolutely stellar in all four seasons making Dr Han to be such a character that is impossible to hate. I can’t wait for Quiz from God : Reboot to be on air! ❤️

It's a crime comedy. They do a good job of making it look real-ish while adding comedy. I disagree with other commentators development of characters since there is more background applied to many side characters than for most detective shows who go about the same length.

The main character basically purposefully annoys you. Don't expect much from the budding romance either. If you want to watch it, it'll be for the medical explanations and the human stories from their cases. They do the best you can to alleviate the fact that people are dying in horrible ways and experiencing horrible things.

My thought is that it may have something to do with Korean TV. I mean in some episodes they even censor low level bloody crime scenes. Not a bad casual watch, but don't expect anything groundbreaking.

miau Dec 15 2017 9:38 pm after reading the comments and others opinion, i feel like this show, while some mistakes, is an easy watch if you want to turn your brain off. ive only watched 6 episodes, but i feel like its light hearted while also dealing with interesting things, so i keep coming back to it. i also enjoy the “genius” aspect, as it relaxes me (oddly. i think it’s because i get infuriated by “stupid” or “painfully oblivious” characters, and that i can always rely on them to figure things out.) some things if I actually critically thought about it more are stupid, but otherwise i like it so far.

though i do admit it has it’s flaws: it’s trying to aim for something more action - y than actual doctors/medical examiners/whatever they are actually do. it also always is revolved in an episode and always is something like “somebody is hiding something” when mostly, it is never like that in real life. (i’d like to see an episode when they have to do a second autopsy and they believe somebody is hiding something, but theyre not. nothing is. and the feeling on unsatified expectation comes down on them.)

anyway it’s an interesting watch if you like interesting topics but also light hearted ness.

Clooz Nov 27 2017 7:05 pm Funny. Episode 3 has the protagonist claiming the word "assassin" comes from the word "hashishin." While that etymology is actually what enemies called them instead of being a literal usage. A little research proves him wrong.

Just funny how he is trying to sound like a know it all and gets the facts wrong. Kinda sums up the show in a way.

They tried to make a korean "house md" combined with csi/bones. But it just doesn't work.

House wasn't successful because dr house was a jerk, it was because he was a realistic character. One you can relate to and feel empathy towards.

Ill try the other seasons, but just kinda disappointed. Do proper research producers or whomever.

Daniel Aug 04 2015 6:37 am The story was "meh" for me it bundled up with cheap joke (I don't think that even funny tho instead it irritate me) and lame acting especially the main character who call himself a genius trying so hard to be funny, cute, and smart at once. Its really a pain looking at him acting to be cool all the time.

The supporting cast is lame totally no development for them. Wondering why that fat lady is even there she look more like a butcher than one of the best ME in Korea for me lol.

The case of each episode fail to surprise me it is very predictable. And what worse the way it is solve is so stupid it always be the "genius" sitting alone by himself in his room as usual chewing the hazelnut or whatever and all of the sudden the camera focus on his expression like he had discover something and you know the next day you will be seeing him in the meeting talking and briefing the team about the rare disease he discover on each victims. There not even one godd*mn hint or explaination about how he realize it.

Once good thing while watching the series is that we will learn some rare disease along the way other than than it is a total waste.

GQ4 got me interested so i started with the very first episode, and i fell in love with the first season. this is like Psych but with a much more serious outcome with some mixed up comedy. I recommend this for all you detective story lovers.
