Doo-Soo works at Garak Market as a laborer, but he has a hidden talent. Doo-Soo is very good in the Korean chess game "janggi."
One day, Doo-Soo wanders around Tapgol Park where master janggi players convene.
He happens to meet Min-Joo (Choi Si-On) whom he had a crush on in high school. Min-Joo is campaigning against the demolition of a homeless centers. The owner of the homeless center, who wants to tear the building down, loves to place wagers on janggi. To protect the center, Doo-Soo challenges the owner in a game of janggi.
