Nan-Hee (Kim Seul-Gi) is ugly and this has influenced her to become mean. She doesn't in live. One day, she receives a ring which holds a family secret. Se-Gun (Ahn Hyo-Seop) is handsome, but he has a cold-blooded personality. Due to the magic of the ring, he declares Nan-Hee as his ideal woman with a beautiful appearance.

KST Oct 12 2023 12:11 pm I really find this drama very interesting. I love Ahn hyeo seop and Kim seul gi's acting. This drama shows that people must not judge with their outer appearance but with their inner appearance.

In the end, it's all about looks.. Mar 14 2023 2:35 am UnprettyGirl falls in love with a handsome guy > Handsome guy likes pretty girl > UnprettyGirl starts to hate herself for being ugly.. and so on

And if you think about it, the UnprettyGirl likes handsome guy because of his looks.. ofcourse he's "kind" "smart" "good at sports" but in reality, he's just a normal guy with the looks. All traits are magnified because of it.

wu Mar 01 2022 7:57 pm I think it's fun to watch, though the story seems cheesy or shallow. Tbh, who's not seeing s'o else from the look. If I were to fall in love with s'o, the reason is either the look or the value he/she has. Love at first sight?!? That's abselutely bcoz of s'o look. However, if we need to find one's values, we have to be familiar with that particular person. This is what happens in society. Let's not be a hypocrete. Nan Hee likes Se Gun for his look, and the vise versa (at first). Later Se Gun likes/loves her bcoz he becomes familiar w/ her, he find the 'click', that he couldn't find in Mi Joo.Tae Hyun loves Nan Hee bcoz he know her value from their childhood. In think the message is to bring out the best of ourselves. Every person has their own values whether they have found their soulmates or not.

They get bullied/look down upon. They're both quite shy. They find a method to fix thwir problems and "fools" everyone. They find a boy who loves them for who they are.

The message was also better and none of the characters had no redeeming qualities . one thing I would change is the blurb for this movie. The main guy wasn't cold hearted but rather extremely superficial.

I fell for her... she really cute... and when wathced oh my ghost!, i had dilemma to vote her or bo young... XD when I watched Splash splash love, I just want to watch Ahn Yo Seop again... I enjoyed his act in Danddara too... After watched Splash2x Love, I want they make season 2 or make it as 16-episode drama with triangle love story between doojon and ahn yo seop :D Now after finished this drama, I hope (again) they willmake it as 16 episode drama... Hope she will get more recognition and get more lead role....

The ending was a little predictable but it told a lovely moral and it's such a great way to sum up the three series! MBC i wouldn't mind more of these short dramas please~~

It became like one of those circumstances when another drama is where the second male lead is in love with the first female lead but ofcourse didn't get her but in other drama, they get together (actor&actress) as leads which is a good bonus for fans that wants the second lead guy to end up with the female lead. Like "You're beautiful" with YongHwa the second lead and ShinHye the female lead and they happened to play the lead roles in "Heart Strings" which is very good. Fans can watch a drama where their ship actually works in a drama from another drama. :D

Danniah Mar 23 2017 10:31 pm Of all three series, this drama is the bottom one. The drama is not bad, it's just not as good as the first two (Universe star and Romance Full of Life).

The plot is interesting because it's about someone who hates herself for being ugly learns how to love herself and find her own beauty. The first 2 ep, they introduce the 3 best childhood friends (Nanhee, Mijoo, Taehyun). As the story grows, Nanhee's character is not getting better and maybe that's why the writer bring in Mijoo to balance the story. And, then, somewhere in the middle, Mijoo becomes the antagonist but then all problems clear and the trio being together again. I don't really like how the writer makes Mijoo contradicts her own characters several times.

Tho at the end, this story reflects a good message about self-accepting and self-confidence, I would still think that Nanhee character is not that good. If Mijoo never back to Korea, I wonder if Nanhee would tell the truth ever. I think she would still hide behind the power of the ring just like what her ancestors did. Nanhee come up clean and tell the truth just because she really doesn't have other choice, the situation doesn't allow her to lie anymore. So, yeah, I keep wondering if she was given room to lie, what would she do?

My favorite characters are Mijoo and Taehyun. Mijoo confess that she envies Nanhee's talent in art and design but, rather than hating Nanhee, she choose to go to Paris, learns more about design, then challenges herself when she back to Korea. As for Taehyun, we can't help but love him.

JM Mar 23 2017 9:48 pm Contrary to what a lot of people are saying I think this drama had an okay message. Yes, at first the guy was superficial and only cared about her looks, and that's all she cared about also, but the whole "pretty apples and bad apples" and the "fermenting soybean" analogies are pretty spot on, they teach you that what's inside is important in a cute way. By the end *SPOILER ALERT* when he talked to the real pretty friend Mijoo and said something was off and stuff it was because her character was pretty mean, he gets jealous seeing Nanhee with others, and he admits it was her personality that was reflected in his design. I think it's more about loving yourself that was important because he does say "You call yourself ugly, but expect me to think you're pretty. Why are you making me the bad guy?" as a final push for her to accept herself, and she does. She walks the runway. And he really does think she's pretty. Of course as a person who's a sucker from the nice guy in the beginning (aka every second male lead ever) I cried inside because the law-school friend Taehyun was SO adorable and such a gentleman and all, but I think he's content too by the end. I really liked this drama, a lot!

I also don't like Mo Nan Hee is more like Park Se Gun who love women because of her physical, rather than his friends Byun Tae Hyun kind. I prefer and support Mo Nan Hee with Byun Tae Hyun together. He was handsome, also have a sincere heart. He loves Mo Nan Hee what its there. By the way, anyone know what the title of song playing from the beginning of the episode? please tell me !!

I love Kim Seulgi acting since Discovery Of Love and the legendary Splash Splash love and I'm glad she's here as the girl lead. I've never seen the male lead before but his acting is so good, and looking at him really reminds me of GOT7's Mark and a little bit of Kim Youngkwang (or is it just me?) Can't wait for the upcoming episodes!

I thought when he saw Kim Seul Gi as his ideal woman it was just going to be Kim Seul Gi with better looking features but it's a completely different woman. I hope every interaction Ahn Hyo Seop has with the character isn't through a different woman as I prefer Kim Seul Gi to be the woman he interacts with

From a cameo to Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, to a ghost in Oh My Ghost, a psycho in Kill Me, Heal Me, a brat in Ode to My Father, a Eunuch to Splash Splash Love, a Meokbang diva in Idle Mermaid, a plain girl in Infinite Power, a teenage girl who died in Horror Stories, secretary in Mood of the Day... any role is just perfect for her.
