I watched my first Asian drama a year and a half ago and was hooked so that I only watch Asian films, mostly Korean movies now. Occasionally I watch a Japanese film because they are shorter (fewer episodes). Until now I had never seen a black face represented in any Asian film who had a speaking part. Naturally I was thrilled to. see Nana Nakahara's performance where she portrayed an intelligent, engaging, interesting and beautiful girl of Afro-Asian descent. I enjoyed her performance and would love to see more of her in future films. Interest In Asian films is on the increase among Afro-Americans.
