Barefoot Moses Oct 15 2019 2:17 pm This started out very good - typical Korean drama - evil mama with a son still attached to her breast. Family doesn't approve but this couple will defy all odds. Weak men who allow women to rule over them and apologize to the woman for doing it. Just wanted to smack Do-Jin and Seung Hye. Got so predictable that I made it to episode 76 and then skipped to the end which was worse than the series. The family relationships were much more interesting than the lead actors. Come on people - step it up

kim Oct 02 2015 5:12 am i was sooo eager for a juicy finish but was super dissapointed! the men are so weak, its horrifying! is this a reflection of the situation on the ground? also the hints that seunghye was the chairman's daughter would have made a great - good triumphs evil- story! seunghye in power wd have been juicy! i stopped at ep 80. i had already gotten bored when dojin broke up with seunghye. i waited for a crazy twist which never happened and all went downhill....i wonder what happened to the story, did the writers quit or something? SMH!

baptisia Sep 17 2015 10:51 pm See el bee's comment below. After 60 +episodes, this poor drama not only went downhill, it jumped off a cliff. Characters suddenly went into ridiculous situations, the story arc veered into the "are you kidding me?"mode to such a degree that no actor, no matter how talented, could save it. Instead of having some saving grace at the end, the last few weeks introduced another unneeded and unwanted person. The plot became a muddled mess and watching this was like slogging thru waist deep mud. And, oh joy!, we got a 3 to 5 minute ending that resolved everything with the otp and was less exciting than watching grass grow. Sorry if I seem a bit disgruntled, but it would (after the first 67) have been more rewarding to have watched these actors read a telephone book.

Were they like me and content with its beginning but too eager to praise what became about 12-18 watchable hours with 32-38 hours insulting to my brain, to my species, and to a cast that includes actors/actresses who are fully able to carry out great roles but were ultimately sacrificed for a TERRIBLE script writer's nonstop layers of pure crap...? Were they just too happy early on and regret giving it a good mark? It is HORRIFIC! It not only has the most ridiculous (like I want to sincerely ask what toxic compounds are in the drinking water levels) characters who are all the extremes of caricatures-from-the-asylum but puts them in unrelatable, unrealistic, frick plain incomprehensible & unimaginable EXCEPT by the wheels long spun off writer whose mad script makes me wonder just how much insomnia was endured churning out this tripe.

Do not waste precious time here. So many truly well-made characters and stories are out there. So many...you will possibly destroy valuable gadgets enduring this garbage. Find something that doesn't have ultra-timid stalked by total sleaze...and "you didn't marry me, so let me pursue your niece young enough to be my child and barely out of high school" cretins pairing up with the most extreme and pathological cases of obsession--both revenge and getting what you want at everyone else's cost--lunatics to destroy everything approaching sane or healthy! Ugh. Just say no. Click away. Watch All About My Mother or House of Bluebird if you want a similar families collide type of drama or find genuinely good shows--like the ones winning NON-NETWORK-SPECIFIC awards (ie PaekSangArts Awards--heck there are links to 5+yrs of many awards on this site-- asianwiki.com/Category:Award_Ceremonies ) for given years (Doctor Stranger, Gu Family Book, Iljimae, I Remember You aka Hello Monster, Legendary Witch, Pinocchio, Capital Scandal, Tree With Deep Roots, Secret Garden, IRIS, Healer, kill Me Heal Me, Arang and the Magistrate, Empress Ki, Moon Embracing the Sun, City Hunter, I Can Hear Your Voice, My GF is a Gumiho, Misaeng, Love from Another Star, Seoyoung My Daughter->much better alternative to this and in the same general family drama+love story category, objectively--despite not being a personal favorite it was quite well made unlike this crapola... Or if food is your fix, Pasta, Oh My Ghostess, I Order You, or a new lovely series Midnight Diner...

Anything but... That is the category this goes into! Watch... "anything BUT ..." THIS contrived disaster. The people make vampires and evil spirits (ghosts gone bad or whatnot) seem really reasonable.

Ozmo Sep 14 2015 7:20 pm Don't waste your time! Dreadful script, started good, went nowhere, and finished up so ... well it didn't finish really. I think the writer's got fed up too. Even the actors would have been glad to finish this. Could have been so good too, but storylines weren't followed through, and ending so contrived ... JUST UGGHH!!

Oh godddd so so bad got many story not cover yet ....

Ancsy Aug 29 2015 1:47 pm I can't recommend, terrible-nothing ending. Why?????? I want to get back my precious time. It was good to 67 episode (fountain scene was sweet) I was rooting for lead pair. DJ finally moved to new flat (far away from his mother), he didn't give up SH, he become stronger, they fought against parents. Then fully down!!!

Firstly coming SR's awful accident and DJ broke up with SH the worst way because of guilty. I didn't expect from his character. If SH would have done, I could understand, because this doormat martyr role suits her, but not from DJ. Secondly this accident is not enough. Coming wedding, plus awkward double dates with longing, suffering, sad faces! SR disappeared (as if she didn't do enough, she left DJ in the worst shit), later SH plans to get married with second lead. With this step they give enough misery to DJ that he realizes about his mistakes. But it was ridiculous watching SH's frightened face when YH talked about honeymoon or children. He was like just wait until get married then I can do with you what I want... Yet he said this, LOL. he was very creepy with this forceful behavior, I couldn't rooting for him too:D:D:D Then in last minutes they get together with hug... THE END

I'm asking again: WHY? WHY? WHY??????? DEAR WRITER, instead of accident you could write, how DJ's mom leave her pain and revenge over her mom normally or you could write some cute scenes for SH-DJ how they get married (wedding, honeymoon, children scenes) and make their business successful, etc... To side characters give normal love story (SJ, SA... Latter with Daesil's squid exdate was ridiculous). Would you like some idea??? I give with pleasure, if you haven't.

Beth Aug 28 2015 6:21 pm The storyline is so frustrating. Now they have this hussy doctor girl that is really making things worse after seryeong left, she's the carbon copy of the last mean one. Is this how it is with every living women in Korean to be so clingy and can't simply accept no I do not love you anymore. It really is frustrating to us the audience to keep on watching this nonsense week after week. Can't you people make this story easy to understand so we won't have to be mad all the time. I'm at that point I'm really angry at dojin's attitude. Flashing back at what he used to tell seunghye about their love, so, you are telling me now that he's nothing but a pathetic liar or what.

But this current theme of Do-Jin just giving up on Seunghye so easily is crazy and horrible writing. Now Seughye is going to be with Yunho? And why are all the men so weak in this drama? First 60 plus episodes were great, was funny and yet had interesting plot. Then the accident to Se Ryeong seems to take the show in a crazy direction and change everything...I will try to hang in to see how it ends, but no matter what happens, I will not be happy. Crazy how the writers showed two people in love fighting so hard, only to have them give up so easily. Really crazy and disgusting way to break up. With all that being said I still enjoy Im Se-mi and Choo so-Young's acting.

vivian Jun 15 2015 12:28 am I love this drama... usually long dramas are not appealing especially the ones with vindictive villains and ridiculous vengeance.

This drama has the usual villains of course but they are very tolerable. What I love most is the sweet and gentle leads (dojin and seunghye). I even like Yoon-ho... and the background cafe music that comes on each time he shows up.

Here I am watching even the raw episodes although I could only understand 5% of the Korean language because the subbed episodes are about 9 or 10 episodes behind.

I love the realistic romance that's building up between dojin and seunghye. I could watch this drama at least 3 or 4 times again without being bored!

Thank you for the story and wonderful cast. Great entertainment to soothe the stressed city soul.
